1dpo - Anyone want to join during the two week wait?

Ella31 · 28/01/2024 00:39

Hi all, currently 1dpo. Hoping for a lucky month. I lost my twin boys a few months ago at 29 weeks due to TTTS. Two days before this I had a beautiful scan and two perfect babies - only 6 weeks away from c-section. And two days after my scan - our world fell apart. I had no movement and all of a sudden, I was told one of my babies had no heartbeat and then four days later, we had to remove life support from his twin brother as he was so ill. My sons were beautiful, visually perfect babies who were so unlucky. I miss them terribly.

So Here I am 1dpo and hoping for the best. Would love the support from any other hopeful ladies and in turn I'll support ye too. Much luck to us all 😀

I know right! I was just thinking 'honestly what has that got to do with the price of fish? 🤨' oh well, you can't help ignorance I guess.

It could be. It never has been regular if I'm being totally honest, but I thought I was developing some kind of 'regular' after I came off birth control again. Obviously it's still working itself out!
It's nice that you're feeling alright, I know how you feel about the relief! Fingers crossed everything works out for you soon!

Hmm, possibly? 🤔😁

Hi all.
I've been missing for a few months as circumstances have stopped my and DP from TTC, however I'm hoping next month we can restart so I'll continue on with this journey with you all

Nevermind, something very unexpected came up and no BD 🥲 wouldn't be able to now until late tonight, and our opportunity is pretty much gone.
Feels like another month 'wasted' :(

@narwhalsarereal sorry to hear that. Great to see you here though. Absolutely. You'll be well rested though for jumping back in again.

I'm trying to be rational and tell myself that but I'm just overthinking and getting myself worked up, more than likely due to all the confusion around it last month. Ah, I need to just switch off!
I'm feeling a lot in the way of symptoms though. I've either never had them before or never thought of them being linked. Bit unfair that boobs can hurt this much for ovulation, pms AND pregnancy 😭

I don't want to worry anyone (and I also may be an idiot and this isn't true) but I read somewhere that sex during the TWW could cause difficulty for implantation? I've tried and tried to find more information on it and I'm pretty much just seeing the same thing but worded differently.
This is either common knowledge and I just had absolutely no idea or it's not and it's something that maybe should be mentioned?

I'll definitely try to find out some more on it, but thought it may be worth mentioning

You are right to explore everything. Is there any chance you could be pregnant. Did you take a test with your surge coming so quickly? Just a thought.

I'm like you. I'm exploring everything and reading and overthinking. It's really a fatal flaw on my part. It's a killer and I feel so stressed. I wish it was easy to switch off

I did actually do a pregnancy test when I did my opk last night and didn't see anything besides an indent.
Completely forgot to test again this morning with fmu so I'll have to remember to do it in the morning!

You can't help but feel a little jealous of your partner, can you? I feel like they don't read into any of this and just kinda go with what you're saying. It's so draining. We do it to ourselves really but it's just so hard not read into everything! Hope you're okay

Yeah my husband literally hasn't a clue about these stuff but I kind of feel for them too. They kind of have to rely on us because it's our bodies and we physically go through this but explsin it. It's definitely hard.

I'm going to the gp today because my anxiety is sky high about conceiving. I don't know if its a control thing but I think if I knew where the road will go if it doesn't happen for me, it would relax me. I basically need my gp to tell me it's only month 5 and it's my trauma that's causing this worry.

Well I'm back on the TTC wagon again this month.
Next weekend my plans have changed meaning we can start trying again.
Not that it'll work, I just have a feeling it'll never happen

Libbynznz · 10/04/2024 20:37

Af just show ugly face

Beanie14 · 11/04/2024 00:40

@Ella31 how did your appointment go?
I’m really sorry you feel this way, you’ve been through a huge trauma and grieving.
I can only imagine.
I do understand the whole control thing though and knowing one way or the other would give some peace. Your body just might just need some time to heal. Ops you’re feeling better now.

Nice to have you back @narwhalsarereal

Sorry about AF @Libbynznz roll on 2025 babies ☺️

Ugh guys, we tried DTD tonight and neither of us were in the mood but we just didn’t want to miss the opportunity. My OH couldn’t get it going. So he feels like shit , I’m trying to comfort him and say it’s ok when literally inside I’m gutted. We’re both nights now next 2 days so there goes our shot for these 3 days. Then supposedly ovulating Saturday or Sunday but feels like we need to DTD more than just then to make sure there’s stuff there to meet the egg when I ovulate. How does anyone time this right, honestly it’s impossible!

@Beanie14 Went to my gp today because my anxiety over losing the boys and going into cycle 5 was too much today. She's actually referred me to get my fertility tested so that I can breathe easy. she maintained she has no doubt it will come back clear but she can tell that I can't stop worrying and that this might take the pressure off. I'm also referred to for counselling over my boys.

@Beanie14 that's really stressful for you. I'm sorry.

BFN, 14DPO with a sustained temp drop. I think I’m well and truly out - just waiting for AF.

I'm sorry to hear that. Has your luteal phase increased. Glad to see it's not short. I'm sorry though. I hope your af comes if it's not to be and you can move forward. 🥰

I'm ok, I went to gp yesterday with anxiety over not conceiving. The rational me knows 4 cycles is not long but the other part of me knows losing my boys has contributed to this anxiety. So she actually referred me to get my fertility checked out for reassurance and I'm getting counselling too which I probably should have done a few months ago.

I'm 90 percent sure my fertility should be ok. But of course my anxiety is fighting that 😅

Hi @narwhalsarereal, nice to see you back. I know how you feel, but it will happen! It'll happen for all of us 🥰

Sorry about AF showing @Libbynznz hopefully it's not too rough for you 🍫

@Beanie14 sometimes it just happens, it's okay for both of you to be upset by it, it's only natural for us to feel that way. Try not to panic too much about it, it only takes one as they say! Try to set up a nice little evening for you both Sat/Sun and hopefully it will take a bit of pressure off and you'll manage to BD. I think sometimes we do just put too much pressure on ourselves and it can make it difficult to get (or stay) in the mood. It really is frustrating to say the least.

I'm sorry @Ncl31. Hopefully AF doesn't show up after all, but if she's going to I hope she does sooner rather than later so you can get onto your next cycle!

2BabyOrNot2Baby · 11/04/2024 11:51

@Ella31 I'm sorry you're feeling this way, but I'm glad your GP is listening to your concerns. It's great that she's referred you, at least then you'll have your answers and you'll be able to work with whatever they may be. I'm certain things are going up be okay for you though. That's fantastic about the counselling! It'll be good for you to work through things with someone who knows what they're talking about. Hopefully it will help you find some peace, you've got this 🥰

I have to say I'm lucky. My gp is excellent. I just hope my tests are ok. Like I am right in thinking that going onto month 5 is still early? I always fell at 3 or 4 so I guess it's making me nervous

OP posts:
2BabyOrNot2Baby · 11/04/2024 13:51

Personally, I'd say it's relatively early BUT I completely understand your anxiety and fears around the subject. It's completely normal to be going onto round 5 🙂 Still, it's great that you'll be able to get a little more reassurance. Do you feel better with what she's said?

CadoAvo · 11/04/2024 15:14

@Ella31 I'm glad you went to your GP, hopefully the fertility tests and counselling will help your anxiety. Wishing you lots of luck for cycle 5

Today's the first day I've left the house since hospital on Monday. Currently in the costa car park waiting for my friend, happy to be seeing someone.

Also not sure what to do about work next week. I wouldn't mind taking another week off however I'm booked to go on an overnight work trip on Tuesday that I'd really like to go on....decisions decisions.

Thanks @CadoAvo I feel guilty as its very unlikely I have issues given the amount of times I've been pregnant and carrying my twins to almost term. But I think I need to see it in writing.

Well done you for getting out. I would take the week off, I went back to work way too fast after my first and I didn't cope well. I hope you enjoy your coffee with your friend.
