Hi everyone
I think our previous thread is full? I can't find a new one anyone has started but sorry if I've missed it. I'll tag some of us below but please add anyone I've missed

@hevann congratulations 🎉

Only 2 weeks and 5 days until baby no2 joins us. !!

Houseelf90 · 05/09/2023 10:44

@LucyLoopyLu so sorry AF arrived 😞 I hope your appointment goes well on the 25th and any follow up appointments don’t take too long!

@hevann I think I joined the thread after you had left, I don’t recognise your name. But I am so glad you’re doing well, my SIL is similar, been trying over 3 years so decided to “give up” and is now pregnant and due in February!

My UTI is still ongoing. Had blood tests yesterday and currently sat in the hospital waiting for a prescription of yet more antibiotics (the 5th this pregnancy and 4th lot in the last 9 weeks). I have a scan and monitoring booked for Thursday AM and if the antibiotics are not helping by the end of the week they will look to induce me! I was 37 weeks yesterday and more than happy for baby to come early, I just want them here now so that I know they’re safe and sound and not affected by this infection/all the antibiotics!
I hope everyone else is doing ok? 💕

DesertSnow · 05/09/2023 14:44

@LucyLoopyLu Thanks for the new thread, I hope your appointment goes well and you get a clear plan forward.

No real update from me. Luna is one month old tomorrow, and I haven't slept properly since she was born - no unmedicated sleep for the last 2 and a half weeks. Anxiety is through the roof. Am tackling it from all angles but trying to take one day at a time.

Hope everyone is ok and that your babies are just around the corner.

Welshgal85 · 09/09/2023 14:41

Hope everyone’s okay. Got my fingers crossed for this cycle. AF not due for about 10 days and had a bit of brown/reddish CM Thursday so wondering if that could be implantation?

Finally went to the GP and we’re going to start some tests to check if all is okay.

krissy12 · 09/09/2023 18:15

@Welshgal85 fingers crossed for you it was implantation

bananatoast321 · 10/09/2023 08:01

Hey everyone! I have been a bit MIA on mumsnet as just been off my phone etc! How is everyone doing?? I’m really sorry to see some of you are still TTC and I really hope you get your little miracles soon 🙏🏼 I read how you’re all feeling and I don’t envy any of you, it reminds me of how difficult our 12 months to conceive was, it’s really heart breaking isn’t it!

A little update! I’m 27 + 4 and about to enter third trimester! Overall going well, but my anxiety is growing quite a bit as I get closer to the end that she will actually end up in my arms and all healthy!

please all look after yourselves too x

LucyLoopyLu · 10/09/2023 15:45

@Welshgal85 will keep my fingers crossed for you! Getting the appointments in place is definitely a good thing, hopefully you won't need them

@DesertSnow sorry to hear you're having such a tough time. I hope you've got lots of support. Be kind to yourself and do whatever you need to get through 💚

@Bananatoast123 glad to hear you're doing well. That time has gone quick to me! I have been very busy with work for the past 6 months so at least that has kept me occupied. Have you / are you going to find out the sex of the baby? Sorry I can't remember if you've already said

OP posts:
LucyLoopyLu · 10/09/2023 15:46

@bananatoast321 just realised you said "she" 🤣 ignore my question haha

Welshgal85 · 10/09/2023 17:46

@LucyLoopyLu @krissy12 thanks both. I’ve been having cramps on and off yesterday and today so feel like something may be going on but trying not to get my hopes up!

krissy12 · 10/09/2023 18:02

@Welshgal85 it's hard not to analyse every sign and get your hopes up keeping everything crossed for you

bananatoast321 · 10/09/2023 18:08

@LucyLoopyLu I am glad you’ve been busy with work, distractions are always good! The month we conceived we went on a lifetime trip away to see some wider family and I was so busy doing this abroad to even think about ovulation etc which I think helped. Yes it’s a girl! Had a strong sense from the start we were having a girl so we found out early! All healthy and happy so far! I’ve got an anterior placenta so she gives me worry already as she often put her back to me and I don’t feel her move!! So spend my days trying to make her move!

@Welshgal85 fingers crossed! When we conceived I vividly remember the cramps were really off for me, it was like bad constipation pains without it being that and I tried fibre sachets and everything to get rid of the pain! I think I got a bit of a pulling cramp around 4dpo and it slowly got worse! Not sure if this helps??

Vjjeiknmiw6377 · 12/09/2023 17:00

Tha is for adding me to the new thread, I absolutely want to keep up with you all (I don't want to post lots as I know it can be upsetting)

@hevann I remember you from the earlier threads! Congratulations on your pregnancy, what lovely news ❤️

HeathenPlayingHouse · 13/09/2023 13:02

@hevann Congratulations ❤️

CD19 for me and I got my positive OPK a little while ago, just in time too since I go away on Friday morning and don't get back til Sunday.

I took the expired Clomid, not sure anything will come of it but worth a try. Plus I've had my inositol and NAC supplements, along with EPO which has been a big help in terms of CM. Initially I thought we'd try SMEP, but instead were just going to cover all our bases, so we DTD last night and plan to do it tonight and again tomorrow.

If it doesn't work out, then I'm just going to have to concentrate more of weight loss, since that's the only other difference I can think of.

Hope everyone is doing well ❤️

Houseelf90 · 13/09/2023 14:18

Baby Henry was born today, 12 days early!
6lb7oz of pure perfection 🥰 I’ll do a proper update in the next couple of days if anyone would like me to!

krissy12 · 13/09/2023 17:22

massive congratulations @Houseelf90 hope your both doing well

HeathenPlayingHouse · 13/09/2023 18:23

Congratulations @Houseelf90!

LucyLoopyLu · 13/09/2023 18:50

@hevann I must have missed your earlier comment, congrats on your BFP! Glad to hear you are doing well

@houseelf90 omg! Massive congrats! 12 days early is nice and prompt, no anxious waiting around for it to start 🤣 would love to hear how you're getting on in a few days / weeks if you have time.

LucyLoopyLu · 13/09/2023 18:53

@HeathenPlayingHouse oooh that was well timed, before you go away! We had to miss last cycle as my husband was away. I should be back in fertile window now, just DTD every other day. OPKs seeming a bit shy at the moment though.

I've been keeping on with my low carb and I've joined the local leisure centre for gym and classes. It's pretty basic and could do with a refurb but will hopefully stop me being sedentary all winter when it's too dark for running before and after work!

Just been to a HIIT class and it nearly finished me off. First one I've been to since pre-lockdown.

krissy12 · 18/09/2023 19:42

@Houseelf90 how are you and baby Henry doing?

@Welshgal85 how are you? are your cramps better?

have you had your appointment yet @LucyLoopyLu

Houseelf90 · 18/09/2023 20:06

@krissy12 thank you for asking. We are doing well thank you, Henry had his 5 day check today and we’re pleased with only 2% loss from his birth weight. He didn’t flinch when they did the heel prick but screamed when he was undressed to be weighed 🙈

Also realised I was going to do an update with my birth story! I’ll try and keep it short!! My waters broke Tuesday evening at 38+1. By the time my other half had got home from work contractions had started and they became quite regular on the way to hospital. I was moved to a delivery suite and examined, but was only 1cm. During the course of the night my contractions really ramped up, and I was in agony. Unfortunately it seems there was an issue with the CTG and the readings for contractions made them look more like braxton hicks, and therefore the midwife didn’t examine me further until shift changeover, and I wasn’t given any pain relief when I asked. When I was examined again I’d gone to 8cm and the day shift trainee midwife made some adjustments of the CTG and my contractions were showing really strong! I had some time pushing before another examination showed that a lip of my cervix was in the way and baby was back to back. I was eventually given an epidural at 10cm!!!! (I should have had this at 4cm due to a heart condition) and now given an hour to push before going to theatre if baby didn’t come! After the hour I was prepped for theatre for them to try and turn baby and deliver by forceps to try and avoid a C-section. The whole team were amazing but in particular the doctor who managed to turn baby and deliver him with forceps, 18 hours and 18 minutes after my waters broke! Apparently I had a smile on my face the whole time in theatre and the doctor commented on this the next day! That was all down to the day shift midwives and the team in theatre, they were amazing! 🩵

krissy12 · 18/09/2023 20:47

@Houseelf90 that's great he hasn't lost much weight

that's awful you weren't given the epidural until very late on but glad everything worked out okay in the end but having had my lb with just gas and air (no time for anything else) I literally feel your pain!

LucyLoopyLu · 18/09/2023 21:47

@Houseelf90 aw, lovely to hear your story. So pleased you are both doing well. It's nice to hear about a good standard of care, that you felt like you were in safe hands, and even had a smile on your face! Congratulations again.

@krissy12 no it's not until next Monday unfortunately and it's only a phone appointment so I'm not expecting great things. I'm still worried it's just to ask questions for triage as they haven't named the doctor etc.

Houseelf90 · 18/09/2023 22:01

@krissy12 I don’t think I could have done it without the epidural 🙈 unfortunately our hospital has suspended gas & air so I didn’t have that 😭

@LucyLoopyLu thank you 🥰 this will be our only baby but I would do the theatre part of the labour again and again if I could, it was so lovely!

LucyLoopyLu · 18/09/2023 22:09

@Houseelf90 so surprised about the gas and air! As well as the delay on your epidural, sounds awful!
Maybe I should take back my previous comment.
Glad you had a good experience in theatre though

@LucyLoopyLu it got withdrawn in March so when I saw it I thought oh that’s fine; plenty of time before I give birth it will be back by then….but still no sign of it returning anytime soon! To be fair as hard as it was overnight, the day staff made up for it and I enjoyed the actual birth so much that the first part is forgotten about!
