Hi everyone
I think our previous thread is full? I can't find a new one anyone has started but sorry if I've missed it. I'll tag some of us below but please add anyone I've missed

Brilliant news 🎉 so pleased for you

@LucyLoopyLu Congratulations! You must be so excited to know the sex 💗

I've a sneaking suspicion that we're having a girl but thankfully we don't have long to wait to find out!

LucyLoopyLu · 08/08/2024 14:53

@HeathenPlayingHouse yeah it's nice to know either way actually. I always thought I'd want a surprise but I changed my mind when the decision came. I'm feeling more relieved than excited but it will be exciting to start planning and buying things in the next few weeks. I need my husband to get his head around it first as we've both been very cautious and worried so far that something will go wrong, and he can't feel the change so it must be a bit surreal for him

amazing news congratulations to you both

DesertSnow · 08/08/2024 23:20

Great news about your scans @LucyLoopyLu and @HeathenPlayingHouse, and so exciting to find out the sex @LucyLoopyLu. Does it help it to feel a bit more real? Your mummy instinct was right! Mine was completely off, I was so confident that I was having a boy 🤣 but here I am celebrating my daughter's first birthday. I hope everything goes smoothly with the rest of your pregnancies.

LucyLoopyLu · 09/08/2024 20:11

@krissy12 thanks so much

@DesertSnow happy birthday to your little girl! It does feel quite real, I've started to feel her moving around a bit more as well so that also makes it feel more real

Congratulations @LucyLoopyLu 💕

So pleased your scan also went well @HeathenPlayingHouse

@DesertSnow wow one already!! Happy Birthday to your little girl! Henry’s birthday is 5 weeks today and I’m already getting upset about that!

DesertSnow · 10/08/2024 21:03

Thanks for birthday wishes. When they say it goes fast, they aren't kidding!

HeathenPlayingHouse · 26/09/2024 12:33

Hello all, hope everyone is well.

Everything went well for our anatomy scan this morning, baby is another boy which is what we were expecting 💙

Houseelf90 · 26/09/2024 15:44

@HeathenPlayingHouse glad everything is going well, congratulations 💙

LucyLoopyLu · 26/09/2024 20:33

@HeathenPlayingHouse fantastic news, glad everything went well for you ❤️

I had my gestational diabetes test this morning - did NOT enjoy! Glad it's over and just hoping it comes back clear

@HeathenPlayingHouse ah lovely news, congratulations 💙 Glad all is well.

Hope your test comes back ok @LucyLoopyLu 🤞

HeathenPlayingHouse · 01/10/2024 22:25

Thank you all ❤️

Hope the test went well @LucyLoopyLu!

LucyLoopyLu · 01/10/2024 23:25

@DesertSnow @HeathenPlayingHouse
Thanks both, haven't had a call yet so I'm hoping/assuming that's good news. I might give them a ring tomorrow though just to check. Although I've been checking my NHS app but the results aren't on there yet so maybe they're just slow to come through?

OP posts:
DesertSnow · 02/10/2024 21:39

@LucyLoopyLu did you ring up? I have no memory of how long mine took to come through.

LucyLoopyLu · 03/10/2024 21:13

@DesertSnow hi, yeah I gave them a ring yesterday in the end and they checked the results for me while I was on the phone. Everything came back normal. They also did my 28 week bloods a bit early and that was all normal range as well so I think I'm off the hook for a while. Glad I can still have carbs and chocolate and mince pies this Christmas!

Got my covid and flu jabs on Sat, then RSV on Tuesday - expecting to feel rough but I'll be glad to have them out of the way!

How are you?

OP posts:
DesertSnow · 04/10/2024 08:53

@LucyLoopyLu Ah great that they came back ok! Yikes that's a lot of jabs in one go, but at least then they'll be over with! Is it all starting to feel a bit more real now? I'm well thank you. I was made redundant while on mat leave unfortunately so that's been a bit of a nightmare but trying to focus on what's important. Luna is doing really well, she's walking everywhere which is wonderful but tiring!

LucyLoopyLu · 05/10/2024 16:30

@DesertSnow I know, it is a lot! Although maybe she won't do my RSV if it's too close together to these ones - they asked me this morning if I'd had any other vaccinations recently. I didn't think of that. But I'm sure I can get the RSV soon anyway. Starting to feel a bit ropey now so I might need an early night.

Sorry to hear about your redundancy, that sounds really stressful and I hope you've at least got a good package? And wow, can't believe she is walking! How old is she now? That time has flown

OP posts:
DesertSnow · 06/10/2024 00:55

@LucyLoopyLu Hope you managed to get that early night! Vaccinations can knock you out can't they, then add pregnancy on top of it!

Luna is 14 months today! It's surreal how quickly time is passing. The work situation was all very messy but I'm trying to move on from it now and look forwards. Though trying to find a new job while looking after a 1 year old 24/7 is quite taxing!

LucyLoopyLu · 06/10/2024 21:17

@DesertSnow that does sound exhausting, hopefully it won't be too much longer until you find something new. It might work out for the best in the end!

OP posts:
DesertSnow · 15/12/2024 00:50

@LucyLoopyLu Hey lovely, how are you doing? Just checking in. Not too long to go now, hope you're sleeping ok etc.! Would love to hear how you're getting on, and of course your happy news in the next few weeks! x

LucyLoopyLu · 16/12/2024 18:12

@DesertSnow hi, thanks so much for asking! I'm doing fine thank you. 39 weeks on Wednesday. I'm going for a scan on Weds as well. May be booking in an induction for just after due date but will see what the consultant says! I don't feel like she's anywhere near engaged yet but will see what they say.

Can't complain at the moment, I've got aches and pains but managing to sleep ok (not brilliantly) and overall feeling like I've got off lightly in 3rd trimester so far.

OP posts:
LucyLoopyLu · 16/12/2024 18:12

@DesertSnow
Sorry I pressed send too soon! How is everything with you?

OP posts:
DesertSnow · 17/12/2024 00:46

@LucyLoopyLu Ah I'm so glad to hear things are going well, and you're getting some sleep at least! Hope all goes well with the scan. Not long till you get to meet her now! It's crazy that you can't be sure if she'll be born in 2024 or 2025! (Unless you know that you wouldn't want to go too overdue, of course). Do keep us updated. I don't know how many people still read this, but I am keen to hear!

All good here thanks! Not getting enough sleep but Luna is just amazing and I have to pinch myself every day how lucky I am getting to be her mum. She's starting nursery in Jan, and I'm starting a big new job which is exciting but I also feel sad about not being with Luna every day. But the job is 3 days a week so will still be with her more than I won't! And nursery should be good for her in terms of socialising and new experiences.
