I think our previous thread is full? I can't find a new one anyone has started but sorry if I've missed it. I'll tag some of us below but please add anyone I've missed

Sadly I'm back to TTC, although not just yet.

I started bleeding on Friday. The A&E doctor told me my HCG was lower than expected and did a scan- I could see a sac but not much else, but they couldn't confirm anything because it was apparently a low quality scanner.

The bleeding has continued over the weekend though and my symptoms had basically disappeared, so I knew it was going to be bad news. My dating scan was already booked for this morning, and it showed an empty sac around 6 weeks in size- possibly a blighted ovum, but they won't confirm it as a miscarriage until I have a follow up scan in 2 weeks time.

Hi ladies xx It's been a minute! I was pregnant about 3 weeks ago, although I've been carrying a gestational sac full of clotted blood since then. I had a dual embryo transfer last month. One died straight away, the other developed but then died. I have to now bleed and hopefully it all comes out otherwise it's a visit to the EPU to have retained products removed and I don't want to get an infection. I have one frostie left. 5 embryos, all good. 4 gone. This is so unfair 🤬

@Welshgal85 tentative congratulations! Chemicals are awful and I know exactly how you feel, I was constantly going to the loo so I could check for bleeding. But the wait is so worth it when you get them in your arms! Sending lots of baby dust for a sticky one this time 💕

@HeathenPlayingHouse I'm so sorry you're going through this. Absolutely gutted for you and hope you're ok. When do you go back for another scan? Are you feeling OK physically?

I’ve tested again and had another positive so feel a bit more hopeful. My symptoms are different from when I had the chemical and more intense so hopefully that’s all a good sign? I think I’m only about 5 weeks and haven’t contacted my GP yet, keep thinking is it all going to go away. Feeling quite anxious.

@Welshgal85 totally understand you're feeling anxious. You can only take it one day at a time. Plenty of time for the first doctor's appointment. If it was me I might call the GP just so it's on my record, but everything is up to you and what you feel comfortable with X

DP is struggling, he’s so worried about another MC while also freaking out about the alternative and the huge responsibility and life change. I guess this is normal though?!

@Welshgal85 Congratulations! Totally normal for your partner to feel worried about either outcome. Particularly when it's been a journey to conceive, it's hard to relax.

@LucyLoopyLu Glad your appointment is done, hopefully you won't have to wait long for a referral - or that you end up not needing it

@SarahShorty and @HeathenPlayingHouse I'm so sorry to read your updates. It really does seem cruel and unfair. Wishing you both the best xx

@Welshgal85 thats completely normal, my DP was worried even though he has 2 children from a previous marriage and we had been discussing and then trying for a baby!! He was also really worried about a MC especially worried about my mental health especially as it was over winter when I can struggle anyway. I think it’s totally normal to worry when you do get that BFP and if you don’t worry then that’s the abnormal! It’s a huge change in your life (but amazing and definitely for the better!)

Think we just need to take it a week at a time and hopefully all will be okay. Keep having waves of feeling really overwhelmed so just trying to keep calm. Still testing positive so hopefully that continues!

Hi everyone, how are we all doing?

My referral for the IVF place is official now but not expecting to hear anything until the new year now.

Work has been really busy and I'm ill with a cold so just looking forward to some down time. Will keep trying but I'm just not going to think much about it all for now. It can be a problem for 2024

@LucyLoopyLu That's such great news about your IVF referral, fingers crossed you hear from them soon!

I had a follow up scan this morning, and it seems my miscarriage is not over yet. My bleeding nearly a week ago, and I was pretty sure I had passed everything, but the scan show that the sac is still there (albeit collapsed).

So now I have to go back in a week for yet another scan. They said it might complete itself within that time, but if not I'll have to look at other options.

@HeathenPlayingHouse I'm so sorry this is happening to you on top of the loss itself. It seems so unfair!

Hoping it resolved itself and passes naturally before next week. Hope you're doing ok ❤️

I'm going ok, more frustrated than anything else. I've still had no bleeding since the last scan, so I'm expecting to go back on Tuesday and be told that it'll need further action.

I just want it to be done and over with, I don't want to have to worry about it over Christmas.

@HeathenPlayingHouse sorry to hear your still in limbo it must be so frustrating. if you do need further treatment I had an mva for my mmc and it was okay.

I'm in the last stages of a (my 2nd IVF loss, my 4th miscarriage total) loss. The lining was so thick from the IVF medication that I had two nights in a row of the most horrific pain. The first night was 1 hour on the toilet, the next night was 2.5 hours with numb legs afterwards. The EPU did warn me it would happen. I'm now just having a normal period and am waiting for it to finish so the clinic can scan me and make sure everything has been cleared out. I turned 36 last month and I had the viability scan two days after my birthday (wise decision).

DH and I just suck at making babies. He's 35, I'm 36. TTC for two years now. We have one more embryo left and we're going to use it next year. We are not going to pursue any further fertility treatment after that and we will continue trying naturally for the foreseeable future.
