Majormoo it is cold isn't it.

Ceebee, hell it is not like it is going to do any harm is it .

LOL Bellie, best of luck today, and take all the painkillers you are allowed, I know you can take paracetamol and nurofen together.

Ooh Angel be careful I had a boss that was paranoid that I was going to go on Maternity leave about 9 months after I got married. In the event I had a mc and left the company and so did he before I had DS. He was a dreadful man and treated us all v badly, to the extent that he liked to employ women so that he could pay them less. He did try to cheat us out of our pension as well. I haven't worked since, I don't think I would have had DS if I had stayed at work it was all v stressful after mc and with my boss, my hair fell out.

HC I have bought my sticks for april, I went for expensive smiley faces on as the hospital scan me every other day and tell me when to 'kit it' and it is usually only couple of days.

MJIM glad to hear you are well.

Sx

MrsPuddleduck · 04/03/2008 11:02

Morning all.

I have had a crappy start to the day. Solicitor has snipped at me for not telephoning client to confirm completion date (I believed husband that they had agreed date when it now appears they hadn't blush]- shit shit shit shit shit .

Also, I was doing some telephone training when a delivery man rang the doorbell to get me to take in a parcel for over the road. What's more, despite the fact that I had a telephone to my ear and was apologising profulsely to the person on the other end he continuted to start talking about the bloody weather!

Ceebee - re the CM. This happened to me last month, I ov'd late and then AF arrived 15 days later. Sorry its not better news.

Right, I'm off to do work!

Angel2008 · 04/03/2008 11:05

Hi guys

Hope everyone is okay, I have just read all the posts properly and am sending positive vibes to all who are having a bad time of it at the mo. Luckily my DP is very supportive and only requests that he is "warmed up" when it comes to BD! LOL - too much information? Relationships can be hard work sometimes though, and rest assured there are plenty of other things we argue about!

My work is okay (work for an investment bank), boss is quite decent (although I have had my problems with him in the past), big place so lots of women coming and going on maternity leave, just don't want people gossiping/questioning me before I do get my BFP and get to the 3 month stage.

Off to take my piraton now (had been waiting for the go-ahead!). Will hopefully make me look a bit less like John Merrick.

HumphreysCorner · 04/03/2008 11:06

willmouse-will you get in too much trouble? You won't get an official warning will you. I got a verbal warning once at work-so upsetting. Chin up.

Bellie-hope all goes well.

Hi all!

wow that was PAINFUL!!

It felt like sharp hot needles in your stomach. Ashamed to say I cried . However there is good news - consultant was pleased to tell me there was no blockage . Hopefully we can get down to some Bd'ing and get a BFP this month!!

Angel - good to hear you are ok (well apart from the rash) and still with us. I am so pleased that I don't work now - I wouldn't be able to mumsnet at all!!

Willmouse - sorry that you are having a bad day again, albeit work today. Sending positive vibes your way.

Off to make some lunch now

Bellie · 04/03/2008 12:04

HC - did you get some sleep?

Angel2008 · 04/03/2008 12:15

Hi Bellie

So pleased for you - YAY! I guess the pain was worth it and a weight off your shoulders now!

I am rather enjoying being at home today, I have to say .. hopefully not too long before it will be permanent!

HumphreysCorner · 04/03/2008 12:26

Bellie-no, have not slept yet. Unfortunately I can't sleep to order but I'm sure I will nod off after lunch. Hope your discomfort doesn't last too long.

Crikey, can't hear myself think with these noisy hailstones!

great news Bellie
oh dear hope your day improves Willouse and your rash improves angel

Hi Ladies

Hope you don't mind me joining u, we hae just decided to ttc and I have just come off the pill after 12 years.

I have a hundreds of questions...lol one of which is about weight, do your chances decrease if you are overweight (or chubby)

HumphreysCorner · 04/03/2008 12:59

kim-of course you can join us. I believe it always helps to get into shape and lose a few pounds to aid conception, however, I am only 5ft and was 4 stone overweight when I had DD2. Have lost it now though. I feel that my weight contributed to the high risk blood tests you get back for Downs Syndrome etc along with my age. Have you much to lose?

HC

kim27 · 04/03/2008 13:03

thanks HC, I want to lose about one and half stone but my biggest problem is my eating habbits are terrible which doesn't help..lol

ceebee74 · 04/03/2008 13:10

Kim - welcome to the madhouse I am sure I have read somewhere that being overweight can affect conception but I think you have to be VERY overweight.

Bellie - ouch for you! But at least it was good news so that must make all the pain worthwhile. I bet you feel like celebrating!

Angel - I hope the piriton has worked

HC - am going to join you in a post-lunch nap in a mo.

I have just tested with one of the ov sticks and it was negative so maybe I am not ov after all - anyway, will carry on with the 'every other night' BDing for now.

Well poor DS is having one of those days today - he fell down the bottom 4 stairs this morning and then fell off a bench at soft play whilst eating a biscuit - he has been in a grump ever since so I hope he is ok. Just put him down for a sleep to see if that cheers him up a bit.

OP posts:
HumphreysCorner · 04/03/2008 13:17

ceebee-have done another test which was negative. If you leave it to dry out you can see the 2nd line shining through if you hold it up to the light. Enjoy your nap. Am delaying lunch or I will be starving well before tea.

Have just added an up-to-date photo of DS on my profile which I took this morning - I really am going to have to sort his hair out but I don't know where to start

OP posts:
MrsPuddleduck · 04/03/2008 13:48

Georgous photo Ceebee. I love boys with long hair. Unfortunately DS1 doesn't have much and also has the worst widow peak ever. DS2 has thick hair so he is currently growing his a bit to see how it goes.

Am feeling a bit better about arsy client now (although I am too scared to phone her!). I have checked through my file and she hasn't contacted me once or even given me her telephone number, what is more I have passed all documentation and correspondence to date through her husband and she has always signed and sent them back fine. I am not a mind reader. Also, how was I to know her husband had re-directed all of their joint mail to a different address. I am trully appauled by the whole thing . How can a man lie and make his ex wife and what's more two young children homeless for 2 weeks? Actually I think she is a lying cow. The bastard is on holiday in Austria now as well and has just started ignoring my phone calls ( I thought that was my job LOL). God I hate my job . Sorry to go on.

Glad your tubes are clear Bellie!

Hi Kim!

At least Ds's seem to be behaving, although I did drag DS2 out of childminders house kicking and screaming!

MrsIcarus · 04/03/2008 14:06

Hi all (and welcome Kim)!

Willmouse- Don't worry about your job! I used to work in conveyancing and clients could be a nightmare .

Angel - I'm "working from home" too. I wouldn't dare go on Mumsnet at work. I already feel as though my (lovely) boss is waiting for me to say I'm pregnant (I wish)!

Carolyn - DH and I have also had rows about BDing on demand. Led to some "performance issues", which made things even worse ! We've found that giving each other a massage has helped us to get more in the mood.

HumphreysCorner · 04/03/2008 14:07

ceebee-Josh is looking most handsome.

willmouse-there was no way you could have known that he was being so deceitful-bas*ard!

Thanks for the support HC - deceitful git. I bent over backwards for him as well and he know it! . You are right about the clients MrsIcarus they are either fine or a complete and utter nightmare! I try and think of the toys and wine I can buy with the money I earn!

I have decided to get DS2 the Step2 up and down rollercoaster for his birthday so I am really excited on his behalf .

Re getting in the mood - I find the sexy undies do the trick every time (plus they never moan about you "wasting money" on expensive underwear ).

Myjob - I would like to point out that we are asking everyone who is kind enough to ask what he wants to send us a cheque and telling them that this is what we are going to buy him with all the money we put together. It is far too expensive if not.

The problem is with having two spoilt boys we have virtually every toy known to man and I can't face having to find more space for them (I have only just recovered from Christmas).

My parents spoil them rotten as does my Father in Law. On his last visit he bought DS1 this monster Hotwheels car and DS2 the Tellytubby bath island . A bag of sweets would have done the trick .

DH and I are getting him the Happland House and I dread to think what DS1 will want to buy him. Last I heard it was the Roary the Racing Car Track - he seems to suggest things which he would like

carolyn1941 · 04/03/2008 17:35

Hi everyone. All happy and busy chatting as usual!

Thanks so much for your support over the BDing issues. As it turned out he came home from work and practically carted me off upstairs in very manly fashion, so we had been arguing over nothing!Think I might try the sexy lingerie tonight! (sorry if TMI!) ...he hates giving massages (says he's rubbish but he's not) so won't accept one either!!! ...I truly don't understand blokes

Welcome to Kim. You are in similar poisition to Angel, juanitad and myself so we will have to see whose body leaps into action first! We are all a bit crazy though so be warned!....and the pg ladies stay on so we must be nice!

I've had a look at all your DC's as ceebee said she put one on (hadn't realised anyone had pics!). They are all soooooo cute and I'm . His hair is mint!

carolyn1941 · 04/03/2008 17:41

Oh Willmouse - just looked up the rollercoaster toy! HOW COOL IS THAT!!! He will love it! (Well I would anyway!)

juanitad · 04/03/2008 19:28

Evening everyone.

Another day over! Time to relax in front of the box - a regular pastime of mine I'm afraid. I just haven't got the energy to do anything else when I get home from work! Lots of football on tonight though, so I predict remote control wars!!

Welcome to Kim. As Carolyn said, there are quite a few of us TTC #1, it's nice to have people to talk to about the craziness of it all! Also great to have the ladies who already have DCs, as they give us some fab advice.

CD24 here, not that I'm counting or anything. Nothing to report though, boo. Come on symptoms, where are you?!!
