Hi everyone,

Hope mother's day was nice for everyone - I spent it with my mum, it was lovely. I had some great news today - a very good friend of mine had her baby today!!! What a perfect day to have a baby - a lovely mother's day present!! Don't know the weight yet, but it was a girl. She already has a boy, so that's the full set now!!

I will be due AF sometime around the 12th ish. I will try my very best to use all my willpower not to test early - I tested ridiculously early last time, about a week before AF I think!! This time I will definitely not test before AF is due, and will see how long I can hold out after that if she doesn't arrive!! No symptoms yet though,

bb, your sore (.)(.) sound v promising! Fingers crossed!

morning!

what a perfect day for a baby to arrive!!
Glad to hear that we all had lovely mothers days! It was lovely here too - went to see my mum and then spent the day in the 'big park' with dd - she was completely cream crackered last night and slept like a baby!!

Tomorrow is HSG day and then I can start the bd'ing again this month. Only day 9 tomorrow so hopefully not missed too much. Really hoping that this month will be the month as next month dh is away over the crucial period so no chance then!!

Turning colder again here - no idea what clothes to wear from one day to the next!

ceebee74 · 03/03/2008 07:38

Morning ladies

I had a good day yesterday aswell (apart from having to spend it with MIL ). I got a ring and some perfume, went to the gym and then cooked lunch - then relaxed for the rest of the day.

Belgian - ooh it sounds v promising for you.

I can't wait for next week - surely at least one of us must get a BFP then. I am due about the 11th aswell and am going to try and hold out until 14th (which would be CD33) to test (I will be there with you in spirit Belgian) as me and DH are having a rare day off together that day so it would be a lovely day to get a BFP! Not that I am at all hopeful of that as I still don't think I ovulated this month and certainly have no symptoms at all.

Juanitad - congratulations to your friend - I honestly could not think of a better Mother's Day present than that

Majormoo - glad you are feeling more positive about things.

Bellie - good luck tomorrow - I really hope it all goes well for you (is this the test where they put dye into you??).

MJIM - 9 weeks already eh? How time flies! I hope you managed to put your feet up a little yesterday despite your DH working all day.

Morning all. I have just read through the weekend threads - gosh you've been busy!

Majormoo - so sorry about your situation. I hope that everyone takes on board what has happened to you and doesn't test too early.

I am on CD24 but don't expect AF to arrive until about 11th (wich would be day 32) so wont test until at least 18th (that is more than a 2ww!). At least I have all of you to keep me company.

I had Sunday lunch at my Mum's and my Gran was there as well so it was really nice. DS2 was really cute and sang her Twinkle Twinkle Little Star for about 10 minutes (I say sang - he hums the tune - you manage to pick out the odd word and he does the actions!).

Hi to everyone else - there are too many now to reply to everyone!

Heartmum2Jamie · 03/03/2008 11:37

Morning all!

I'm glad everyone seemed to have a nice Mother's Day. What a lovely day for a baby to arrive too. I got a card and a cup of tea in bed...... and that's it. Dh had no idea it was mothers day even thought I had been reminding him for more than 2 weeks. I wanted a new chain to put my pendant on as my other one snapped months and months ago, but we couldn't find one slim enough to fit though the loop at the top of the pendant in our rush. I will have a better look this week and just accept that my present will be late. Beside, I will also need some new clothes in the next few weeks I would think, so that can be half mothers day, half easter, lol!

Congrats on making it to your next goal MJIM, can't believe you are 9 weeks already. I am 5 today which for some reason was my first goal (had a missed miscarriage last time where baby didn't develop past 5 weeks but sac & placenta kept growing, so I didn't bleed and kept having some symptoms). My next goal is 6 weeks! Might as well take it a week at a time, lol!

Sounds like lots of you are waiting to test this time. Good for you! I actually wished I had waited this time too. I can't wait to see the next BFP's roll in.

MrsPuddleduck · 03/03/2008 14:35

Forgot to say Ceebee -was it the ring you hinted at LOL! If so glad to see it worked. I really liked it by the way and forgot to mention until I read your post!

I have had a right ho har with DS1 who is overtired after the weekend. He came home and threw tantrum after tantrum after tantrum and was basically screaming uncontrollably about taking various toys back to the shop because he didn't like them. At that point I banned TV all treats for the rest of the day at that point the red mist descended so I went upstairs to leave him to it. I could hear Ds2 sat at the bottom of the stairs at the gate and looked over the bannister to see DS1 repeatedly kicking him in the back like some kind of hooligan after a skin full. Saw red myself at that point, smacked him twice and have banished him to his room (where hopefully he is asleep). I feel really it has really upset me .

Just had to get that off my chest before I have to go and do the ironing

carolyn1941 · 03/03/2008 16:29

Hi Everyone
Glad you all had lovely mothers days and got some nice pressies.

Willmouse - aaaagh! What a day!I guess they can all be naughty at times and he will prob be lovely tomorrow to make it up to you! We are all here to hear your rant so don't worry!

I had a horrid night last night. Had massive row with DP about me wanting to BD all the time and him feeling like a quote "performing seal". I don't really know what to do to be honest and I'm on CD 12 so just coming up to the crucial bit!Any advice would be appreciated. Feeling poo

juanitad · 03/03/2008 17:46

Carolyn, I know exactly what you mean - DH feels exactly the same, and is feeling pressured to perform "on tap". He says it is so much less sexy and he finds it difficult to get in to the mood. Not sure what advice to offer you, as I haven't quite figured out what to do about it myself. As I'm on CD23 now, we're past the crucial time of the month, but if this isn't my month, then it'll be the same thing next month. We (coincidentally) are going for a few days to Barcelona the next time I'm due to ovulate - we were going to be staying with some friends, but I think it might be better to get a hotel for a bit of privacy, and so we can relax. Hopefully being on holiday will make it easier to get us/him in the mood. But we can't go on holiday every month at ov time, so if it doesn't happen soon, we're going to have to figure out a way to make it less like a task and more fun!!

Bellie · 03/03/2008 17:54

Hi all,

oh Carolyn and juanitad - I do know what you mean. We make sure that we also bd outside of the crucial time, but I guess you probably do that too!!
We also try (and not always possible) make sure that we try to make it as spontaneous as possible - different times of the day etc etc. We also make sure that if either of us don't feel up to it we don't make a big thing of it - easier said than done I know - but otherwise it can feel like it is a chore rather than fun!
It doesn't always work (especially after 15 months) but we try!!

Bellie · 03/03/2008 17:55

Oh - someone also asked about the HSG - yes it is the one where they put the dye in your tubes. In my mind this is probably the crucial one for us as I only have one tube so if there are any problems with it it ain't going to happen for us!

carolyn1941 · 03/03/2008 17:55

oh thanks Juanitad That's just what I wanted to hear. Was feeling like I was going mad and this was just me. What can we do though as clearly have to BD to get pg!!! He says he wants a baby, possibly even more than me!, so can't see why it's such a problem. Urgh, he gets home in 20 mins! grrr.....

majormoo · 03/03/2008 18:51

Hi All
Carolyn I think that is a pretty common problem when TTC. It is hard to make it feel spontaneous.

Willmouse-oh dear. Hope you are feeling better now. Sometimes they really are hard work and drive you potty. Hope he is better tomorrow.

We had a lovely indoor picnic on Mother's Day, then went for cream teas. Sounds like everyone else had a good day too.

Re the testing early thing (I did on the day AF was due), I wouldn't advocate it but I have to say, there is no way I would have thought I was having a late period yesterday. We had had a lovely cream tea but when we came out I felt really sick and like I was going to faint (maybe too much cream/jam/butter?). It also happened later on when I was watching Gareth Gates in 'Dancing on Ice'! Then I started bleeding and have felt OK since.

HM2J/MJIM hope you are feeling OK.

soosy · 03/03/2008 19:39

Good Luck with your HSG Bellie, remember to take nurofen and Paracetamol before you go. As They say its not very painful, but it is like really, really , really bad Period pain and really sudden. I hope it shows the one tube is ok and if it does you should BD quite a bit for the next couple of months as you are quite fertile after an HSG.

Great day for a baby to arrive! And I hope everyone had a good Sunday. I was taken out to Lunch on Saturday, and Sunday I got a brief Lie in and Tea in Bed and big Hugs from DS, .

Majormoo,Gald to hear you are feeling ok. Gareth Gates has a lot to answer for.

Willmouse Sorry to hear your bad day, I know want you mean all that parental guilt.

MJIM glad to hear everything going ok.

HM2J Same happened to me with my first pg. I am sure evything is fine but you could ask for a early scan next week to put your mind at rest. I would and did have thousands of scans with DS!

Ooooh BB, fingers crossed!

Evening ladeez

Bah, put 2 1/2 lb on tonight at WW. Only had the one yummy 3 course lunch cooked by me yesterday. Oh and a Twix which was DD1's pressie to me-bless.

Got my 50 OV sticks today, what a huge pile! Used one but no line so think FF may be right this month at day 16 but must keep testing as it did say day 25 last month and am on CD22 at the mo.

Heartmum-5 weeks is good, roll on 6.

MJIM-your pregnancy is flying by (probably not for you though).

Had a terrible night with DD1 being overtired last night so none of us got much sleep.

Hi to everyone else and take care.

Morning ladies

Just a quickie - have woken up and appear to have excess CM (I wouldn't describe as EW though) so I assume I am ovulating now (good job DH is home tonight ) even though it is CD23 . So does AF always arrive 2 weeks after OV or not? Does this mean I am in for another long cycle or is AF still likely to arrive about CD29/30 as it has done for the last couple of cycles?

Bellie · 04/03/2008 09:11

Oh ceebee - sounds promising - it could be that ov is later for some reason this month. I think that the 'rule of thumb' is that your af will arrive 14-16 days after ov, but obviously it can differ as we are all different!! I would go for it tonight!!!

Soosy - thanks for the tip about the ibuprofen - it does say it on my letter but I had forgotton about it . Have taken the antibiotics, so off to find some ibuprofen now. Am quiet scared about the whole thing.

BB- still keeping fingers crossed for you - being knackered was the only sign that I had for dd!!

HC - sorry to hear about the gain - there is always something that throws us - mothers day should come with a ww warning!!

willmouse - sorry to hear you had a bad day with ds, dd is also playing up at the moment. Every morning I wake up and say 'today I will not shout at dd she is only 3' however everyday that goes out the window . I think that they just know that you are trying to focus on something else [ttc] and want the attention back to them!!

Off to the hospital now will come back later!!

HumphreysCorner · 04/03/2008 09:28

Morning ladies

ceebee-FF said I OV'd on day 25 but AF arrived on day 30 which is only 5 days later so who knows. Now we have our OV sticks it is full steam ahead.

majormoo-how are you today?

I too wake every morning with the belief that I will not shout at DD1-managed to last until 8-15am today.

Had another bad night with DD1 so am knackered so will not be attempting any decorating. Going to cook my healthy tomato sauce, iron them light a coal fire and sleep. Well, hopefully in that order.

Have a good day.

Bellie · 04/03/2008 09:31

HC- are you ironing your tomato sauce or the coal before you make your fire??

Angel2008 · 04/03/2008 09:37

Hi all

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, I was on MN at work the other week whilst the girl next to me was on holiday, now she is back and spotted that I was on here the other day, and I don't want to arose suspicions!

Hope everyone is well?

I am "working from home" today (yeah right) as I have a nasty rash all over my face and hands from gardening at the weekend (pampas grass). It is horrible, I am all red and itchy!! Can I take anti-histamine?

majormoo · 04/03/2008 09:37

hope it goes ok Bellie at the hospital.

I am feeling OK HC. Hope you manage a bit of rest today.

It is FREEZING here today

Ceebee I would go for it just in case

HumphreysCorner · 04/03/2008 09:41

Bellie-am so very tired that am struggling to function.

Angel-good to see you. Take some Piriton if you have any. Wondering which Bank you work for, is it one of the big 5 High Street ones? Being totally nosey as am a lapsed Banker myself.

Right, must get on. Am stood using my laptop and my back has set.
