Really sorry to hear that majormoo, you must be feeling low today. Like ceebee, I am keeping everything crossed for you that maybe all is not as it looks right now and that everything might be ok after all.

majormoo · 01/03/2008 13:29

thanks you two. Those tests are 99.9% accurate unfortunately so no room for doubt. I am so cross with myself for not listening to my own advice. At least I have you lot to help me restore my sanity.

Oh Majormoo, I am so very sorry. I will keep my fingers crossed that there is some hope. Sending lots of love & hugs

majormoo · 01/03/2008 18:22

Thanks everyone but please don't be sad (not good at emoticons as not sure how to do them on this keyboard) on my account. Don't want to bring the thread down. No doubt unfortunately as can feel AF -if that is what you call it?- on its way. In between DD and DS we found out at a 12 scan that our baby had a chromosonal abnormality that was incompatible with life and I had a termination. It was hell on earth. I am a catholic and never thought I would have an abortion. It took a long time to come to terms with the whole hideous experience. Because of that, I would much rather nature take its course if the pregnancy is not 'right' than go through that again. So I feel sad, but OK, if you see what I mean.

Anyway, someone must have some news to lighten the thread again?

majormoo · 01/03/2008 18:25

P.S HM2J could you get my name taken off the antenatal thread thing as don't want to go on there really. I think I had the shortest stay on an antenatal thread ever-about 24hours!

carolyn1941 · 01/03/2008 18:36

Erm...well I'm drunk! [hick!]
Went to pub just to wtch the footie scores come in with DP and ended up staying bit lnger....he he he God am such a lightweight!...have not been drunk for aegs

carolyn1941 · 01/03/2008 18:37

grrr

Heartmum2Jamie · 01/03/2008 19:02

Ofcourse I will do that Majormoo.

I'm afraid I haven't had a brilliant day. Started off at 3am when ds1 vomitted quiet spectacularly, but in fairness made it to the bathroom, just not a receptical. I am an emetaphobe, so dh was a angel and cleaned the mess while I passed towels, kitchen roll and cleaning equipment. Ds1 has been right as rain since, so something from yesterday's dinner didn't sit well with him. Then the postie came with ds2's DLA renewal forms, oh joy! It isn't up until the end of August, so I have time to see how his next big appt goes (end of March). Those will be fun when hormones and emotions are high.

We did go to town earlier and came home with Mario & sonic olymipcs, pmsl! I doubt I will be able to move my arms tomorrow!

Carolyn, lol! Sounds like you had a good time!

soosy · 01/03/2008 19:08

Big hug Majormoo. I did similar after an IVF attempt. We are having a busy weekend with two or maybe three viewings. DS & DH took me out for mother's day lunch today, becauce DH hadn't booked anything and also living in central London Mother's day is a bit of a nightmare. DS also had a birthday party today which was fun! I spent most of the time with him, with him not liking it, until tea and then he decided that he could go off and have fun and then we had to go! Ironing tonight, payback for yummy Lunch, then I will try and find some decent telly, Hard on a Saturday Night!

Have a good day tomorrow.

ceebee74 · 01/03/2008 19:29

Majormoo - what you said makes perfect sense and glad you are able to see the positive (if there is one) side of this.

Carolyn - lol at you staying in the pub a bit longer than intended. I don't blame you as that will no longer happen once you get the BFP

Soosy - ironing on a Saturday night, really??? I draw the line at any housework on a Saturday night.

Sad as it is, I am going to watch the Song for Eurovision tonight (am recording it so I can watch it properly once DS is in bed and tea has been made). I lurve the Eurovision Song Contest

Nearly time for vino - yippee!!

x

Oh majormoo-I am so sorry. This is one of the things I dread as I cannot stop myself testing early. Chin up my lovely.

ceebee-I haven't received my OV sticks yet and I ordered them first.

carolyn-I went on a lunchtime pub crawl once on a Saturday. Ooh, never again.

Heartmum-hope DS1 isn't sick again. DD1 seems to be able to make herself sick when she wants attention.

Have been v. busy today starting off with Tescos where I managed to lose DD1. Shouted her several times then the tannoy message of 'will the parents or guardian of DD1 please go to customer services'. She was sat sobbing with 2 members of staff-apparently somebody had escorted her to customer services. I showed no sympathy whatsoever as I was so cross with her for not taking a blind bit of notice of what I was saying. Forgot to thank the staff in my rush to get back to DD2 who I had left in the trolley the other side of the barrier. My trifle looks good though and my soup is a success-let's hope tomorrow is as successful. Oh, did some ironing after tea too-am fit to drop now though.

Take care y'all.

morning all! Happy mothers day to all the mummies . Hope everyone who had a horrid day yesterday is having a better one today

I'm having a nice day so far. Making a pavlova for parents later and turkey just ready to go in oven. Done laundry, cleaned out hamsters and beeen to car boot sale! {thinks 'hmmm maybe i got up too early!']

HC - nightmare in Tesco's yesterday! I can see I may end up doing online shopping when dc arrive! At least she was found safe and well but can understand you were .

majormoo · 02/03/2008 11:07

morning all. I am having a much better day today thanks Carolyn. Lovely morning with breakfast in bed and DS slept through til 6am, which may sound early but he has been waking at 4am this week and yelling. I did have to get up at 7am though to find the leaf DD had hidden for me in her bedroom as a mother's day treat! DH has taken them to get food for our lunchtime indoor picnic. I am feeling pretty drained and have some stomach cramps so nice to get some peace and quiet for an hour.

Hope all the other mum's are enjoying a relaxing day.

HC what a nightmare in the supermarket. Drives me mad when they run off.

Carolyn you are very active for someone who had a few too many last night.

I never know what emetophobe meant before, so there you go, you learn something new every day.
