That's incredible news, @TheBirdintheCave !

Another day, another test. I actually don't think this one is darker than the last, so maybe HCG has peaked at last. Will do the last clearblue tomorrow before I call the clinic then.

@charja100 just wanted to say I had buserelin for this cycle. It's my first IVF cycle and I was put on long protocol so had buserelin for about 3 weeks before starting stims, in order to suppress my natural cycle before it booted up the follicles.

I did have some side effects that came and went. Achyness, nausea, chills. However these did calm down after the first few days and then were fleeting. I did also feel a sense of calm. I read on other threads about the side effects and a few others had this - like a serene calm feeling. Maybe because there were no hormones going crazy? It was quite nice actually.

My clinic did warn me about menopause symptoms with it but I didn't really get any of those. Maybe one or two hot flushes.

I was on 50 iu for 18 days and then 20 iu whilst I was on stims.

I know it's different to a frozen transfer but hope that helps

Hope you're ok today xx

Triselly · 10/05/2023 14:47

Goodness @TheBirdintheCave that is amazing news! Congratulations xx

@RunningOnHope Hope you’re doing alright with all the confusing test results xx What is your clinic saying through all this?

I am even more in a spin than ever - just had my latest hcg blood test and it’s gone up from 5 to 23? At first I thought wow it’s gonna make it, but the nurse at the clinic told me that these very low levels combined with the bleeding, in their experience, means ‘it’s not developing normally’ whatever the fuck that is supposed to mean. So another 2 days waiting and then back for another blood test on Friday.

CR7 · 10/05/2023 14:55

I have caved and booked an HGC blood test for tomorrow. Everyone else seems to be getting one and my clinic said I don't need one if I'm not bleeding / spotting.

I think the results take a few days x

RunningOnHope · 10/05/2023 15:00

Ah Triselly that is so tough - all you normally hear is that it needs to be doubling and obviously yours is on the rise! But I guess better to be prepared for bad news if it's likely to be.

I haven't had any blood tests. I'm ok with that - my clinic is over an hour away, and DW has to take half a day off work every time I go to an appointment, and I can't really afford the petrol for extra.

I spoke to the clinic last on Monday and because of the heavy bleeding with pain, they were certain it was a chemical. They said to test on Weds/Thurs and call again to let them know. So I'm waiting til tomorrow morning to do another clear blue for proper comparison then I can tell them if looks to be still rising or starting to fall.

I guess if it's still rising they might want to do a blood test... it's so frustrating because I can't let go of the last 1% of hope until I see it fade.

Only got 25 eggs from 44 follicles so I'm feeling a bit shit about it. Obvs no idea how many are mature and then it gets cut down even more in terms of how many fertilise and how many are still going at day five so I'm not expecting to end up with many usable embryos.

Husband sperm results were the best we've ever had however. From 13% motility in 2020 to 65% today. Just hammers home that I am obviously the problem.

Also! I might have to stab myself for five additional days. So not only do I have no embryo transfer to look forward to I have to be in more pain so that's fucking fantastic.

I have never had more than 3 eggs. I have ended up with two children though. Do not despair!

Triselly · 10/05/2023 15:09

@RunningOnHope I understand, it’s that tiny puff of hope that’s keeping this balloon in the air even though everything else is telling you it’s over. It’s just maddening.

blueskies94 · 10/05/2023 15:35

Hello everyone. I've just got back from egg collection and having a fair amount of bleeding. Didn't have any on my first round so just wondering if anyone else had this? If so, how long did it take to stop? Feel a bit concerned it will affect my lining for transfer.

CR7 · 10/05/2023 15:36

@blueskies94 have you spoken to the clinic xx

blueskies94 · 10/05/2023 15:45

@CR7 they said to use a pad not a tampon so imagine some bleeding is normal but was still a bit loopy from sedation so didn't ask any questions!

CR7 · 10/05/2023 15:47

@blueskies94 defo call if you're worried x

BlueWhitePatterns · 10/05/2023 15:50

Hi all, can I join? I had my first egg collection Easter weekend, from which 8 eggs became 2 embryos. The fresh transfer failed, and my clinic doesn't do consecutive cycles, so I am waiting this cycle and hoping to do a frozen transfer with the remaining embryo next cycle.

It's been quite nice to have a bit of a holiday from it, but my egg reserve seems to be low for my age (mid 30s) so I am also quite keen to just get on with it.

I had quite a lot of spotting from my egg collection and they'd told me to wear a pad in case of bleeding, so it is probably normal @blueskies94 - but can't hurt to ring the clinic?

SarahShorty · 10/05/2023 16:32

Struggling to cope today. Kids everywhere. Kids next door just came home from school and they're outside playing. It doesn't usually bother me quite this much. It's just started to rain, so they've gone back inside. All I can do is remind myself that I'm doing everything I possibly can to, for lack of better phrasing, bring my kids into existence. It's utterly shit, but there's nothing more I can do. God I want a drink and I can't even stand alcohol.

lemons44 · 10/05/2023 16:40

@SarahShorty I hear you. I deleted Instagram last week because I was struggling seeing bump pictures, baby pictures etc. It's tough ☹️

Hi @BlueWhitePatterns sorry your last transfer didn't work. Amazing news you have one in the freezer to try again. When do you think you will start meds?

Hi @blueskies94 I second the suggestion to ask your clinic. I really hope you're feeling ok after the collection and not too sore xx

CR7 · 10/05/2023 16:48

@SarahShorty I deleted the daily mail and I have lots of people hidden on Instagram. How you're feeling is normal xx

Flowerlover010 · 10/05/2023 16:48

@TheBirdintheCave congratulations! Fingers crossed for the next stage

@Triselly @RunningOnHope so sorry it is being so dragged out for you both. Hope you will get confirmation soon xx

SarahShorty · 10/05/2023 18:01

@lemons44 @CR7 thank you both xx When it does happen (when, not if) I will be so eternally grateful. I will be so clingy haha

Triselly · 10/05/2023 19:00

Hello @blueskies94 and @BlueWhitePatterns , the more the merrier xx Hope you are both doing well and very best of luck

blueskies94 · 10/05/2023 19:49

Thanks everyone! Bleeding seems to have stopped now so all good. Taking a couple of days off work to recover so just planning what tv shows to binge.

RunningOnHope · 11/05/2023 06:19

So it's 5.30 in the morning, the toddler has woken up for the day, and after bringing her into bed, I go to do my first wee in a pot for my final test to call the clinic today.

Except the wee seems to spraying more than normal. The pot doesn't seem to be getting heavier. I hope I'm catching enough of it to test.

When I'm finished I pull out the pot to have a look.

In my tiredness I've been holding it upside down. Peeing onto the bottom of it and spraying everywhere. Didn't catch a drop. 🤦‍♀️

Triselly · 11/05/2023 06:23

Oh my goodness @RunningOnHope how incredibly annoying! Poor you! Could you hold back from drinking anything for another hour and try again?

RunningOnHope · 11/05/2023 06:28

@Triselly Yeah I'm a chronically dehydrated person so I'll squeeze another one out in a bit and it will be just as concentrated. Just a bit stupid 😅

OP posts:
CR7 · 11/05/2023 07:50

@RunningOnHope you're exhausted. It could have happened to anyone xxx

TheBirdintheCave · 11/05/2023 07:55

@RunningOnHope Oh nuts, how frustrating. Understandable when you're tired though!
