Her we are ladies!

Ahh, how cute Kay, it must have melted your heart . I love lo's expressions when they realise what they've done!
Star, I'm still trying to lose a few pounds too before ttc. This is it now (I told myself on Friday!) - it's now or never. Really trying to be 'good' - not denying everything, but sticking where possible to Slimming World 'guidelines'!! That parika chicken sounds wonderful!
I think re pregnacare guidelines it doesn;t stop it working iyswim if not taken after a meal - just kinder on the digestion I think! (Like taking paracetemol on an empty stomach - still works, but can 'repeat' on you a bit!). That's what I'm believeing anyway -I usually take mine last thing at night just because that's when I rememebr I've forgotten to take it!
Arsenic hour now, so catch up later!

Diege · 24/02/2008 17:46

Oh and I think that's 3-2 on the poo front

kayzisbroody · 24/02/2008 17:49

It was fantastic!!
I'm still dieting until I find out if I'm pg. But I'm still going to eat heathily.

I was actually terrified I was going to poo.

Diege · 24/02/2008 18:36

Kay, I have the (not that it seems it at the time) bonus of dropping a stone in the first 3 months of each of my pregnancies, due to hyperemesis). However, by the end of each pregnancy I have gradually put on more and more, so that now I'm about 10 pounds over my usual weight. So yes, I'm going to keep on sort of dieting, but for first 12 weeks will just aim to keep something down!

MoosMa · 24/02/2008 19:13

Me too Diege, that's one thing that's almost put me off having another, did you find anything that helped?

kayzisbroody · 24/02/2008 19:37

I didnt have any morning sickness so I just put loads of weight on.

Diege · 24/02/2008 19:43

Hi Moos! Sorry to say this, but nothing seemed to help . And I tried the lot! With dd3 I was signed off work for 6 weeks or so, as even sitting up in bed made me sick (I couldn't even read as the smell of ink on paper made me heave, even the noise of the doorbell!). I kept the acupressure bands on constantly, but they made my wrists really itchy and sore, so got rid of them (made no diff to the sickness). Got the Morningwell CD that had an effect of sorts. First time I played it after 30 seconds I have never been so sick! So obviously triggered something!. Pregnancy 3 was the worst of the 3 (I have 3 dds). No 1 was all day constant vomiting, but I could walk around etc. DD2 the extreme of normal I think (ie, sick in plastic bag on train, but then OK).
I think by 10 weeks or so I could eat a dry bread roll (before then a rich tea a day; chicken soup - brought back up, but stayed down 20 mins or so). Then in the following weeks hot chocolate and thick cut ready salted crisps were a god send!!
Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear . I think you have dds too? (some say it's linked)This time I am going down the hardcore route: I'm getting acupuncture and will also request drugs. I think I slipped into a mild depression with the sickness, and don;t want to be in tyat place again this time! Sorry for going on - my sickness stories are like most people's birth stories - I can't stop talking about them when I'm asked .
It will really help to talk to you guys about it this time to get me through! Strange to plan a pregnancy around sickness, but I think there are others on this thread too doing that (Teuch?)

Oh I dont know, I like the second one when Angel is all evil as he is so funny with Spike!

Starshinetiger · 24/02/2008 21:35

Kayz - congrats on DS, that is fab, each milestone is so exciting. Are you ready to start running round after him - as soon as DS found his feet, that was it, he was off everywhere!
Diege - your MS sounds awful, shall keep fingers crossed for you this time, but I know others who have had the same with each pregnancy too. Mine was nowhere near that bad - sounds a bit like yours was with DD1.
GJ, hope you've enjoyed your Buffy DVD. I'm off to bed, as have to be in work by 7am tomorrow. Night all.
xx

Diege · 24/02/2008 21:46

Signing off here too!! Off for an early night with my Martina Cole .
Absolutely NO buffy allowed in the diege household I might add!!! dh has a thing about her, and had posters up in the house before I moved in . So it is banned .
Thanks for sympathies on the sickness front - I am really trying to think positively for no.4 and see if I can just struggle through. Will def book acupuncture, even though GP was very doubtful of it all last time (as I was of his 'ginger biscuits' suggestion, pah!!)
Working from home tomorrow, so will be on throughout day hopefully (other than having my roots done in am). Oh it's a hard life

weescottishlassie · 24/02/2008 21:55

Hello ladies, may i join you? I'm an habitual lurker on these threads and i'm feeling brave after a few glasses of blossom hill I felt the need to add my tuppence worth. Diege I have 3 chidren (2 boys and a girl) and have to say that i only had horrendous morning sickness throughout with my dd. Also 2 out of 3 with the poo thing

kayzisbroody · 24/02/2008 22:13

Hello Lassie(I was going to to call you Wee but decided it didnt sound right).
Ah Blossom Hill, wonderful stuff.

I'm hoping for a dd this time round but everyone on here says that they had really bad morning sickness with girls.

Diege, you are so brave. I have Trypanophobia or needle phobia and could never have acupuncture. But Dh is ginger and loads of people said I didnt have morning sickness because of it, so hopefully I'll never have it.

kayzisbroody · 24/02/2008 22:14

^^Gosh I dont have ramble sometimes!!

weescottishlassie · 24/02/2008 22:26

Hi kayzisbroody how amazing about the ginger thing!! I've never heard that before. I also would like a dd this time despite the morning sickness. Had my first boy and girl with hubby number one would like same with 2nd (and last ) hubby, so far have ds Also have two lovely stepsons so unfortunately the toilet seat is permenantly up in my house if you know what i mean

kayzisbroody · 24/02/2008 22:30

I'm just hoping having a dh with ginger hair is the same as eating ginger biscuits.

Its like that at my mums house, whenever I go round the toilet seat is up. Dh is very well trained and never leaves it up.

weescottishlassie · 24/02/2008 22:38

LOL!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you on the ginger thing. I definitely need another girl to even up the balance, although another boy would be the makings of a football team so i win either way

kayzisbroody · 24/02/2008 22:43

Thanks, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to get another dd too.

Right I'm off to bed now, I'm so tired.

Speak soon.
X

NatalieJane · 25/02/2008 08:12

Good morning

I saw 6 o'clock this morning from the wrong saide again today, it isn't fair I am seriously tired, what is the matter with me? Grrrrr!

Ahem, hi and welcome Lass As you can see, we are all a happy no moaning allowed type of bunch....

I will have to find the list in a bit. And we need a new thread, this is filling up fast.

First day back at school today Although DS1 is At least he has decided on school dinners so I don't have to do packed lunches this week whooooooooo hoooooooooooooooooooo

Hey, we got a tenner on the lottery on Saturday, we had 2 lucky dips, and over the two lines (including the bouns ball) we had 6 numbers, I think that is the most we've ever had! And what did we get? A blardy tenner [tut]

I suppose I had better go and do something for school, I hate it when we are all ready early, god I am moaning again arn't I?! Sorry girlies....

I'll be back in a bit, without the moaning, I hope!!!

kayzisbroody · 25/02/2008 08:14

LOL a tenner is better than what we got.

Oooh just heard Russell Crowe might be doing a film near here!! Might have to have a day out when filming starts!!

Dh is still in bed!!

largeginandtonic · 25/02/2008 08:28

Morning ladies

I know, i know i am terribly pants at keeping up with you all. Sorry. How are all you lovely ladies and any newbies?

Hugo has just come out in the pox now.... dh and the baby all recovered. So a am in for another week! Gah!

I have only skim read the last few posts. DS#5 is ginger and i was nauseus until 14 weeks, same as all the others really. I thnk with dd i was more sick but i was running round after the twins (who were 1) and was very tired which makes it worse.

Now are we talking poo in labour?

kayzisbroody · 25/02/2008 08:32

Morning LG&T,
Sorry to hear about Hugo.

I feel a bit sick this morning but its to early to be a symptom before Nat any of you get excited. Dh was about to rush and get ginger biscuits from the shop but I stopped him and put it down to just being hungry.
