Anyone out there starting/continuing IVF treatment next month (April 2023)?

I’m 36, first time everything, and due to start stims early April. Wondering if there are others who might like a thread to chat/vent?

If you’re out there and in a similar position, let me know!

Hi ladies.
TMI question but did anybody notice egg white cervical mucus during stims?! I'm day 4 of stims and getting it and just panicking my body will ovulate on its own.
Probably being paranoid!

pongom · 24/04/2023 20:30

@lemons44 yes I got loads of EWCM and had the same panic. I had already started Fyremadel by then so they told me I definitely wouldn’t ovulate. Are you already injecting fyremadel or equivalent? Either way, it’s probably worth asking your nurse but I know mine said that it’s very normal and related to rise in estrogen x

CR7 · 24/04/2023 20:37

@lemons44 - totally normal. Will balance out with the progesterone if you're doing a transfer and if not transferring will balance out when you stop the stims xx

CR7 · 24/04/2023 20:37

@WholeZebra yes many times. Always very fast. Are you sure the clinic has done their side x

CR7 · 24/04/2023 20:39

@charja100 yes progesterone blood test at 9 am and if all ok then transfer at one.

Not sure whether the spotting means anything. Have you asked the clinic xx

charja100 · 24/04/2023 20:46

@CR7 not yet. They did say that there might be some light bleeding, the progesterone can make the cervix sensitive. Also you can get implantation bleeding still with ivf I suppose. I'm going to see if it lets up tomorrow. If it still continues I'm going to call the clinic. I'm not worried about my progesterone levels as I paid to have them tested on transfer day and I had 221 which they said was a great level.

RunningOnHope · 24/04/2023 21:22

@lemons44 Definitely had it too! Seems normal, all the hormones.

@charja100 sorry you're having a worry, it must be hard not to second guess everything.

I'm second guessing myself already, a few hours after transfer- without thinking, I lifted my pretty heavy toddler out of the car, and out of the bath tonight. When I noticed how much of a strain it is to take her out of the bath, I suddenly realised I should be careful about heavy lifting...

So, what counts as heavy do you think? Will you be carrying heavy shopping bags?!

lemons44 · 24/04/2023 21:27

Thanks all! I did think it's probably normal but also had a bit of a panic x

CR7 · 24/04/2023 21:48

@RunningOnHope you tube video I posted last week xx dig down and find it

RunningOnHope · 24/04/2023 21:55

@CR7 Ah I did watch that, thank you. I remember thinking how sensible it sounded a few days ago - now my brain is a bit addled this side of transfer 😅

CR7 · 24/04/2023 23:05

@RunningOnHope understandable x

Triselly · 25/04/2023 06:25

Thinking of you today @CR7 very best of luck with the transfer xx

We're all behind you today @CR7, hope transfer goes really well for you!

WholeZebra · 25/04/2023 06:54

Sending you loads of love @CR7 !

CR7 · 25/04/2023 07:10

@WholeZebra @Triselly @RunningOnHope thanks gang xx will keep you posted. Grateful for all the support of the ladies in this group xx

Blood test at 9

CR7 · 25/04/2023 07:14

@charja100 do you know what sort of numbers I am hoping for with the progesterone blood test xx

lemons44 · 25/04/2023 08:25

Good luck @CR7 xx

TheBirdintheCave · 25/04/2023 08:26

@CR7 Best of luck today! :D

No AF for me yet but CM is brown tinged so I'm hoping it starts before 1pm so I can count this as CD1 🙏

CR7 · 25/04/2023 08:33

@TheBirdintheCave @lemons44 thank you x

CR7 · 25/04/2023 10:11

Blood test done. They want to see 30 of whatever unit they measure progesterone in. If I hear nothing then I go as planned. If progesterone levels aren't right we cancel the transfer. Hoping that's not the case so fingers crossed I don't get a call x

TheBirdintheCave · 25/04/2023 10:13

@CR7 Everything crossed for you!

CR7 · 25/04/2023 10:18

@RunningOnHope I asked the consultant nurse for any tips for the two week wait. She said

As much sleep as possible
Hydration
Anything that keeps your stress levels down
No major changes in lifestyle or diet
Being kind to yourself

That was it. Nothing else

RunningOnHope · 25/04/2023 10:53

@CR7 is it 1pm you're going in if all of good? Really hope there's no phone call!

RunningOnHope · 25/04/2023 10:54
