Hi everyone,
Thought I'd create a new thread as the TTC Oct and Nov we're so helpful to me :) There were so many BFPs in the Nov group so statistics doing their thing there will be lots of BFPS in this Dec thread too which is super exciting.

Im currently on CD3 of my 5th cycle TTC #2.

@Jennifer89 apparently you def need to practice and push it up much further than you think you need to

Thanks, that's a good tip!

@bringmearainbow I have also heard women say menstrual cup helps but don't see how they be effective as they don't go as high up..

Mine is at random points and then this last.month 6 days before AF. At first thought it was implantation bleeding 😞Glad I have you ladies to obsess with. We're not telling anyone we're trying and I don't want to keep going on to DP as it puts pressure on him and isn't exactly the best topic to get you in the mood for BDing

I think it helps to stop it from falling out.

Ttc #3 cycle 1. Im due AF a week on Wednesday but go away Monday-Friday next week. Should I get some early detection tests and test on Monday? Don’t know if I could wait til Saturday to confirm 😅

Not tracking my cycle but we gave it a good go this month

Yes it is annoying spotting before period, at first I got excited it could be IB but now when I get it I just expect my period to arrive. Implantation bleeding does not seem to actually occur for most women from what I have heard..

Hi can I join please?
On 4th month of TTC, CD2. DD is 10 and I'm now 44, hoping not left it too late.
Just ordered some easy @ home tests as not sure when I'm ovulating. My last three cycles have only been 25/26 days - typical when I'm TTC 🙄
No idea what I'm doing with the tests as didn't do anything like that first time around.
But hoping these help as I don't think I've got it in me to try for months and months, and age isn't on my side!
Good luck to everyone this month, hoping its a lucky thread!

@chezvic welcome and not too late at 44 😎
26 day cycle is not unusual. Cycle of 23-35 days is in normal range..

I was wondering if anyone could help me - I did a Clearblue digital OPK this morning (CD16), and I got an empty circle after 3 days of flashing smileys. I used FMU and have been doing them once per day.

For context, last cycle I had flashing smileys from CD11 to CD16 and then had a solid smiley on CD17 (so I think I ovulated on CD18). Has anyone else had this happen? I'm worried maybe I'm not going to ovulate this month. 😭

I just realised that maybe this happened because I started a new pack of the Clearblue digital OPKs this morning 🤦🏼‍♀️ I didn't realise that you couldn't just start a new pack of them mid way through the cycle (was using up the leftover ones from last cycle up until now). Could that be the reason why it was an empty circle this morning? Like it was establishing what it thinks my 'baseline' is (despite the fact I think it should have been a flashing smiley today)? Worried I've messed it up this month and it won't detect when I ovulate now. 😭

@Polkadotfloral yes new reader will always have a blank circle on the first day it gets your baseline reading. You can use a new pack just use the old reader with them

Report

bringmearainbow · 08/03/2023 07:17

@Polkadotfloral if you don't have the old reader don't worry it will still pick up your lh surge and you will get a solid just keep testing it just might not flash as you have already had the estrogen surge which is what the flashing picks up

Oh amazing that's so helpful, thank you! Luckily I've still got the old reader so I'll use that tomorrow and hopefully see my solid smiley 😊

I used a Clearblue ovulation test for the first time (with the purple sticks) and got a solid smiley on the first day. Does this mean my tests are faulty? It also means I might be wrong that I ovulated on CD11? I just stopped testing after that as I thought that was it for this month.

Tryingtoconceivenumber2 · 08/03/2023 07:45

@Feliciacat what CD are you on?

Report

Feliciacat · 08/03/2023 07:56

I’m now on CD14 but I got the solid smiley on CD11 and didn’t test since. I was actually happy about getting a solid on CD11 because I thought ovulating on CD11 would explain why I’d failed to get pregnant in the first two cycles of trying.

Report

Tryingtoconceivenumber2 · 08/03/2023 08:00

I doubt they are wrong. Have you got any easy @ home ones you can take to compare. This month I used the clear blue fertility monitor and was shocked when I had my first peak day on CD12 but I also had a very very dark line on easy @home strips and uploaded to premom app and they also said peak. I also would have missed it this month without those as last month I ovulated about 2 to 3 days later x

Report

Feliciacat · 08/03/2023 10:09

Hi @Tryingtoconceivenumber2! Thank you for your kind help! I had just been thrown off by people saying a blank circle always happened first time. It surely must be right though. It’s interesting that your ovulation has varied each month too; I always thought it was the same every month until I started ttc. What an eye opener!

Report

TunnocksTCake · 08/03/2023 10:23

@Feliciacat that's interesting... maybe it's blank circle unless you have high lh on the first day then you get peak so you don't miss it? I didn't know they did that but that's v helpful.

I have finally stopped bleeding after my chemical 🥳🎉 8 days later! Usually a 4 day period girl so feels like forever! Hoping my cycle won't be too delayed because of it but we will see... just glad for it to be over and onto the testing part so I feel like I'm Making progress!

Following this thread in case I don't fall this month. Currently on CD18, AF is due on the 19th. We have DTD every other day for the last 10 days, not tracking to preserve my mental health. Fingers crossed for everyone on this thread ❤️

@Jennifer89 I used the fertility cup for a few months. Definitely takes a bit of practice and messy when removing it (sorry tmi). I was worried I could be trapping the sperm the wrong side of the cup?! But I may try it again.
