Hi everyone,
Thought I'd create a new thread as the TTC Oct and Nov we're so helpful to me :) There were so many BFPs in the Nov group so statistics doing their thing there will be lots of BFPS in this Dec thread too which is super exciting.

Im currently on CD3 of my 5th cycle TTC #2.

HI @Enn1234 .. Do you know when is the big O date? what date do you plan on testing?

Tryingtoconceivenumber2 · 07/03/2023 07:45

Hi all, quick question for those more experienced in OPKs.

So yesterday I had 1.65 on the easy at home and premom app and very dark line, darker than control in the morning. I also had a peak on the clear blue monitor yesterday and today. Day 13 today. Today premom app says 0.4 and tested same time and clear blue still says peak but I think it always shows peak for 2 days.

Last month I had 3 days of very dark lines (wasn't using premon app or clear blue monitor just my eyes). Seems this month peak has been very quick compared to last month where it lasted 3 days. I did have strong ovulation pains on right side most of yesterday. Is it normal for peak duration to change?

Yes 😊 sometimes it can be a short fast spike, other times you might have what's known as a 'plateau' where you have peaks for a couple of days - both normal. You always take the first day of a peak as your surge, even if it remained dark for another day or two afterwards.

I'd also like to join! I'm TTC #2 and this is our 3rd month of trying. Have had an ectopic before so worrying a bit about the impact of that.

If we do conceive this cycle, because I have longer cycles and a late ovulation I'd technically be due right at the back end of November, so please don't kick me out... 😂

Tryingtoconceivenumber2 · 07/03/2023 08:22

@lemonyfox same position as me Cycle #3 and baby #2. Sorry to hear about your eptopic. This happened to my friend last year but she has since had a healthy full term pregnancy so fingers crossed for you. Thanks for the info above. Makes sense x

Think im already out :(
What about you? Have you ovulated?

Cinnamon23 · 07/03/2023 09:38

Hi everyone. I’d like to join please! 👋

New poster but long time lurker. 32 and trying for our first.
Hard to say how long we’ve been TTC as we’ve taken a few breaks over the past year due to life throwing spanners in the works (husband was made redundant, wanted to settle in to new job and pass the probation period before we resumed).

Thankfully back on track and currently on CD9. 😊 I hadn’t heard about grapefruit juice either!

Un7breakable · 07/03/2023 10:40

Welcome. I'm on CD10. I had similar with circumstances meaning we made the decision to try but couldn't actually start trying until this year. Fingers crossed for you. I'd like to try the grapefruit juice trick but hate th taste. Apparently pomegranate juice does the same.

Tryingtoconceivenumber2 · 07/03/2023 11:07

@Un7breakable is it too late for me to drink pomegranate juice now, CD13 and O is imminent.

@Cinnamon23 I was 32 when conceived DC1. Welcome x

I was drinking pomegranate juice too, didn't realise it had the same benefits of grapefruit juice. I was told it helped with blood supply and implantation..
It has to be not from concentrate though, which is really hard to find! Xxx

Clettercletterthatsbetter · 07/03/2023 11:49

Can I join you? CD3 of first month TTC#4. Other children are 7, 5 and 3. We had originally planned to wait until later this year to TTC but after a bit of soul-searching we’ve decided to crack on with it as my cycle is doing odd things so I’m worried I might be perimenopausal - at almost 37 (me) and 44 (him) we thought we’d best get on with it!

Your not out yet, its still in the 5 days peak , so there is still a possibility. 🙂
and mybe you'll find gap today still to bd.
I have no clue as too when iS O😣I am not using opks which is exausting.

1greentea · 07/03/2023 12:16

I have this squinter today! 10 dpo. I felt since I was a few dpo that I was going to be pregnant this cycle but couldn't bear to say it out loud incase.
I have lotion like cm, had increased heart rate from 7dpo, no boob changes, a temp spike this am and cramps last night, but that's it! My last pregnancy I had every symptom from 7dpo and knew I was pregnant from 1dpo (gut feeling). Not so many symptoms this time so feel a bit more nervous. Feel sick this morning but could have been nerves before testing.
Will do another in the morning.
First time I've ovulated since October and a month ago was told I could have ovarian cancer (cysts/a tumour then MRI NAD) so feeling very cautious!
I used ovusense and timed BD with that, really recommend it. Xx

Jennifer89 · 07/03/2023 14:03

Please can I join? Fingers crossed this month ttc.
Will end up with a due date close to Christmas but who cares. Would make my Christmas 2023 extra special 😀

Jennifer89 · 07/03/2023 14:08

I'm on cycle day 2 today and 6th month of ttc. Had day 21 blood test done recently which was normal 👌. Waiting for day 3 blood test results to come soon..
Purchased some Omega 3 tablets as meant to help with egg quality. My dh also takes Omega 3 tablets.
Also taking Vitamin d and folic acid tablets from Boots.

Tryingtoconceivenumber2 · 07/03/2023 14:29

@1greentea I can also see that. Fingers crossed it's a bit darker tomorrow x

@smldnlove We've been trying since June which was my first cycle after a loss. I'm getting so impatient now, I keep symptom spotting even though it's way too earlier, I woke up thinking I was cramping but I just needed a wee. 😅I don't want to test early because other months I tested early I went through so many tests thinking "okay maybe tomorrow it will be positive". I'm going to try my best to wait until 12DPO.

I don't tend to even bother testing now unless period late. Helps me not obsess too much.. I think at earliest I would be tempted to test 12 dpo as tests are often unreliable before then anyway..
Wishing you good luck!

Jennifer89 · 07/03/2023 14:33

Has anyone tried Fertilily cup? Me and dh are considering purchasing if this month doesn't work out.
It just seems a bit pricey..

bringmearainbow · 07/03/2023 14:35

@Jennifer89 I know quite a few ladies that have sworn the fertilily worked a treat. Im going to try it next cycle if this one's a dud

bringmearainbow · 07/03/2023 14:35

@Jennifer89 apparently you def need to practice and push it up much further than you think you need to

Oh good, that's reassuring! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Un7breakable · 06/03/2023 17:18

OMG. That's awful. Had a GP appointment for spotting today. Very reassuring. Not doing blood test as cycle normal but did an exam, took a swab and refering for a scan. She said it's most likely nothing will be found but best to check.

I also get spotting average 2-4 days before period which is why I am also getting blood tests done, but GP doesn't seem concerned.. Online it does day spotting 2-3 days before period is pretty normal. I think 5 days plus may be more concerning

Great, heard good things about it online but been putting it off as thought surely many women get pregnant without it 😅
but still worth giving it a try I think..

Jennifer89 · 07/03/2023 14:45

I think if doesn't work out for December willing to try anything 😀
