Does anyone know in regards to drinking grapefruit juice, and if it matters if its pink grapefruit juice? Xxx

Arrgh, fertile window starts Friday and my colleague who I have lots of contact with just called to say they've tested positive for COVID after coughing all day. I'm out this month before I even start aren't I? What's the chances I've avoided catching it.

@Un7breakable I sat next to my colleague all day a few weeks ago and had lunch with them. Must have spent 9, hours together they tested positive that night but I didn't get it. I had caught it less than 6 months prior though and had all 3 jabs. At that point they weren't coughing or sneezing though. Hopefully you won't get it x

Fingers crossed for you. Are you tracking your ovulation or just winging it?

@uop21 I have tracked it and got my peak CD12 so assuming I have ovulated by now and my LH levels have come back down us well

@Floralsandsmiles i also drink pink grapefruit juice and it’s worked so well in terms of increasing my discharge this month so it was actually noticeable… I honestly couldn’t believe it! I was drinking the fresh pink grapefruit juice and I bought the dilute version just to cover all ground!! How are you doing in your TWW lovely? Xxx

@Floralsandsmiles awww missed ya too lovely! 7dpo eeeek only 4/5 more days until you can test though! Although I know it feels like a lifetime when you are in the wait. You expecting AF Monday so will you wait it out till then it test at the weekend? Are you stocked up on FRER’s?

Back to tracking this month as I hated not last month, I’ve ovulated today CD13 this month, the last 6 months it’s been CD15 so a couple of days early but we’ve DTD a few days ago and today so still in with a chance (gonna try again tomorrow but may not finish). So tomorrow I’ll officially be in my TWW argh. xxxxx

do people assume they ovulate the day after the LH surge on strip tests? I know it says 24-36 hours later but I’ve heard some people say it can be 2-3 days later. Just wondering how true that is

So when AF is due is a little bit of a annoying one. So on 10dpo (sat) it's my CD28, which on average is normal for me. But the predictor says that I'm not due AF until Wednesday (which would have been 14DPO). Its because its trying to stretch out the luteal phase, so it's the average.. in reality, I think I will be lucky to get to Monday as I think I have a short one.. so thinking maybe sunday/Monday to test? What do you think? Or just wait until AF comes (or not?).
I haven't tracked BBT all the way through but was during ovulation etc, so know what normal for me. The highest it.ever got was 97.38 on CD19 (the day after ovulation). I looked today and it was 97.86. Isn't is supposed to be low, if not pregnant, like the reading leading.up to ovulation?? (which we typically 96.56- 96.83). Is this a sign too?? Lol

Aww that's why we haven't heard from you, you've been busy with ovulation! Woohoo go girl! Yeah I.used CB ovulation test and.strip and.continued the strips the.day afterwards to see the LH fall, and it did. It was down to near nothing in 24 hours again....xxxx

@Floralsandsmiles with BBT you should always get a ride after ovulation as this shows progesterone has risen but then if not pregnant it will fall at the latter end of the TWW - for some people if starts felling before period is due and others it falls on CD1, getting to know when yours usually falls can help show you when you're pg.
For me when ttc my first mine always started dropping at 10dpo so when it didn't I knew to test xx

Aww OK, thank you @TunnocksTCake . So it could still fall (I'm 8DPO) but it's a good sign it hasn't fallen yet? I'm getting cramping too and hoping it's not AF coming xxxx

@Floralsandsmiles have you done your bbt in previous months? If so look back and see when it fell, it could def be a good sign if your luteal phase is usually 10 days but as I say everyone's different, some people just get a huuuge drop on CD1 and others it's more gradual. @MilkyAndFluffy l wonder this. So this month I had 1 positive line on CD12 on easy@home by the afternoon it had dropped down so I'm fairly convinced I have ovulated on CD13. I'm now CD15.

Last month I had positive tests from CD12 through to end of day on CD14. I got my period on CD29 so think I ovulated around CD15 so a bit later nearer the 36 to 48 hours after mark. Though not sure if maybe CD13s were a bit darker.

I've used premom app this month and it's helped a lot.

I think having a shorter surge this month has helped to pin point DTD. We have also tried SMEP so fingers crossed.

@TunnocksTCake this is my first month tracking both ovulation and occasionally on bbt, so haven't any past data to compare with unfortunetly.. Will stick with it and hope its a good sign.. thank you for your reply! Hope you are well? Xxxx

So yesterday (cd 11) I got my first flashing smiley. Didn’t bother dtd as it was only the first day, I usually ovulate later (cd 18) and dh gets tired! Then today I’ve got my static! So annoyed we didn’t dtd yesterday!
Have dtd this morning and will try and convince dh tomorrow too but he’s normally too tired 2 days in a row!

@Tryingtoconceivenumber2 @MilkyAndFluffy I believe its the beginning of the LH surge that kicks off ovulation, so the length of the surge doesnt really matter but most people O within 12 - 36 hours after (but remember it takes a few hours for it to show in your wee so safe to assume its the next day)
I guess the length of the surge can differ just like the day can, mine is usually so short I have to test 3 x a day to make sure I get it!
@Floralsandsmiles yes stick with the BBT if you can, I used to love seeing my charts when I was trying for my first. Cant seem to remember to do it this time around & I dont sleep every well these days so I figure it wouldnt be very accurate. Sometimes I do a few days just before O and a couple just after just to confirm then leave it for the rest of the month. Im all good thanks, much better now my loooong chemical bleed has ended and I started with the CB digi OPKs this morning (CD9) a little earlier than I normally would, but covering all bases.
@AlleycatMarie thats much earlier than last month, glad you managed to catch it! O day is the most important day so I wouldnt worry about missing yesterday. Good luck!

Does anyone know actually if you can skip a day with the CB digi opks? I did the first day (empty circle) this morning and was wondering if I could skip tomorrow and test again on Saturday or if that woudl mess things up. Just trying to be economical with sticks now my baseline has been established & Im expecting many more empty/ flashing days before peak...

@TunnocksTCake thank you! Will try to stick with it from now till AF is due (hopefully she doesn't turn up). Then I have a baseline for next month with it dropping etc..

I think you should be OK skipping a day if you want on CB O tests. However I would be mindful not to do it too often to when O normally is, just incase you accidentally miss it. I will say though that there could be a change you O early like @AlleycatMarie and could miss All together, so be mindful xxxx

@TunnocksTCake yes I thought that but also had first positive test on CD12 last month but didn't get period until CD29. But like I said maybe CD13 line was actually stronger. I am so glad I just the sticks this month as I definitely would have missed it if I hadn't. According to premom I am now 2DPO so just got to wait it out now x

Thanks @Floralsandsmiles and @TunnocksTCake ! The sticks are so expensive, but as you said, you could miss O day by skipping a day. I had thought about using a combination of these sticks and some cheapies this month (as I got through so many last month) but if I had skipped a day I would have missed my static. I don’t know if skipping would actually affect the test working though.

@AlleycatMarie and @Floralsandsmiles I ended up skipping this morning by accident haha but only meant skipping one of these early days before it gets interesting! Will do a cheapy this afternoon too. I don't usually o until cd 16/17 but I guess you never know 😅
