Hey everyone!

Is anyone else trying TTC #1?

I think I’m 9DPO although my cycles vary from 28-34 days so I’m really not sure. This is my first cycle TTC so I haven’t tracked ovulation.

I took a clear blue ultra early digital test this morning and BFN, I’ve heard digitals aren’t as accurate, is that true? (The way the test was laid and how I was sat meant the ‘not’ was in the shadow so for a second I thought it just said pregnant, was gutted!)

Any advice on not driving yourself mad during the TWW? 😂

I'm already symptom spotting though at 2(max 3)DPO im sure it can't be anything real 😂
But today I'm feeling a bit sicky, was congested when I woke up which is unlike me and my toothpaste tasted weird 😂
In reality I'm probably just making myself sick with nerves about it all and just hay fever has finally got me or something 😂😂

But a girl can dream 🤞

@Hotmalibu94 oh I've been there; I try to ignore everything until it gets to about 5/6 DPO and then i think 'this could be implantation' 'this could be me month' - but I was saying to the girls last month, did I always have these symptoms each month and just didn't realise before I started TTC'ing and now that I'm TTC'ing everything is noticed lol.

Oh if you have hayfever and are in the UK - it is unbearable, it has given me such a bad head cold so from my chest up I am absolutely sick.

I've been reading about a US medicine that people have taken and it helps thing the mucus of chesty coughs but also loosens cervical mucus and aids sperm to travel up higher in the cervix so I've been on searching a UK version of it and not only will it help with the mucus of my coke it might also aid me getting pregnant so I'm going on my lunch to buy some to give it a go. I'd try anything lol.

@Nmmck93 it's so hard isn't it 🙈 I keep thinking maybe I ovulated earlier as I don't test but I think thats unlikely from the signs 😂
I don't really suffer with hay fever which is why it's a bit weird but I'm fine now 😂 DH suffers something chronic with hay fever.

@Nmmck93 omg what’s it cold! I’m the exact same with chesty mucus because of hayfever! If it helps fertility I’m all over it as well 😅 where’s abouts are you in your cycles again?

@Hotmalibu94 it’s soo hard not to symptom spot! I think I’ve googled every symptom known to man in the last 6 months 🥲

This TWW is flying by for once! I’ve really managed to stay calm and not think about it too much! Ideally I’d like to just wait for AF but I’m for a spa day next Thursday so might test then. I don’t know if I’m being overly cautious by thinking I need to avoid heat and a massage if I’m that early in pregnancy 😅

@kalixxx it's call Mucinex in the us so I just searched it on google and it's Guaifenesin in the UK. Going by what i read it's to help loosen mucus so that sperm has a smooth swim to meet the egg!

I'm O day today CD16 (later than other months) DTD CD 12 & CD15 with no pressure, we have planned DTD tomorrow to cover us but we have just taken the laid back approach and only if we're in the mood lol.

Aww how many DPO are you? I'm actually super busy during my TWW we finally moved into our new house yesterday so we have a lot of organising and decorating etc but my partner has told me I'm not allowed to do too much because he doesn't want anything to potentially affect implantation.

Would be great if in the one month we could get our BFP and moving into our forever home. 😂 I'm trying not to think about it or anything and just keep myself stress free lol.

@kalixxx completely forgot to say which one I went for, I’ve attached a picture. It’s the cheaper brand but has the main ingredient in it lol.

Ahh welcome back to the TWW! It’s good you’ve got a busy 2 weeks, definitely helps keep the mind busy! Congratulations on your new place as well!

I’m 8/9 DPO today, I’ve had some very light cramping and sore boobs but that’s completely normal for me in TWW so can’t think too much into it. I’ll hold out testing until Thursday as I’m going for a spa day. Just need to find a FRER somewhere!

the dreaded TWW; I feel like I’m out already because 1. We only DTD 3 times through fertile window & after O day 2. I also feel like I maybe haven’t ovulated as I haven’t had the usual ovulation pains (I don’t think I have anyways)
but we’ll see. I’m 3dpo now. But going to just try my best to hold out until AF is due, whether I stick to it or not is a different story lol.

@Nmmck93 I don’t always get pain every cycle from ovulation, although I guess I don’t know for sure I’m ovulating each month 😅 do you temp as well? I’m tempted to try it but I think it’s another thing for me to obsess over.

I’m not really feeling that it could be my month either. I think with each cycle that passes I can’t imagine getting a BFP. I’ve not lost hope, will just be amazed when it does happen!

@kalixxx I nearly always feel the pain, but obvs not sure if I actually release and egg, I'm considering making an appointment next month to maybe get some tests done just so I can be sure I'm ovulating.

I forgot to mention yesterday, I had to order my FRER from eBay, it's the only place I can actually get hold of ones. I have two left but I wont use them until I see a line in the cheap strips lol.

When are you testing?
I'm 4dpo today, hasn't crossed my mind for the last 4 days and not really bothered at the minute, don't feel any different if have any kind of symptoms.

Also trying not to symptom spot aswell though 😂😂😂

@kalixxx also, I tried to temp but I couldn’t be persistent, it wasn’t for me as once my alarm goes off I have to get straight out of bed I can’t lay longer than my alarm so it just wasn’t for me lol.

@Nmmck93 yeah I’d like to get some tests done as well to make sure I’m actually ovulating and it’s all good down there. Debating wether to private as we’ve still got another 6 months before the GP will see us.

I can’t find FRER anywhere, I also can’t find anywhere but Amazon that does next day and I don’t want to order them on OH account as I don’t want him to know I’m testing on Thursday. Praying it’ll be positive then I can find a way to surprise him! I should probably just make my own account lol.

I’ve had sore boobs but that’s completely normal for me at this time. I also did just feel randomly grossed out by the texture of the orzo I was eating for lunch, but I think that could be me symptom spotting 🥲

When will you test?

@kalixxx yeah, I think they can still check your ovulating no matter how long you've been trying? It's just after a year they start doing in-depth and refer you to a fertility clinic?

Aww I ordered a good few a few months ago so I have them all in my little baby box, I want to surprise my other half also when the time comes 🙈 I would make your own account and and get them here for Thursday.

Aww really? The only thing I can say is im constantly hungry, which isn't like me but im not sure if it's just because I was sick with a bad cold last week and was off my food that im making up for it now lol.

Im not sure, I would love to just wait until AF but I know I won't hold out. Maybe around 10/11dpo I'll try my best to hold out though because seeing stark white negatives is soul destroying 🙈

@Nmmck93 ooo really, I never knew this! Maybe I’ll contact the GP next month then to see if they’ll test to see if I’m ovulating. I don’t seem to get any EWCM which worries me!

Yeah I’d love to be able to surprise OH when the time comes, I want to catch him really off guard but I’m not sure how I’ll do it 😅

I’ve found it easier to hold out waiting the longer I’ve been TTC, cycle 1 I was testing 7 DPO 😂 I think I’d probably wait if it wasn’t this spa day!

@kalixxx every GP might be different. I’m not entirely sure mines would even do it but I do know some GP practices in my town do it for others. Fingers crossed if this month isn’t ours we can both get checked next month.

Yeah I don’t get EWCM either, but I also read that not everyone does though.

i usually pick up wee treats for my OH when I’m out shopping alone and set them on the table for him and always say ‘I got you some surprises’ so I could easily do that and announce it to him that way. I kinda have it all planned in my head for him 😂

Yeah my first month I was testing from 5DPO I wasted so many tests. Each month I hold out a little more, now I’m Cycle 5 I could easily hold out right through to 10dpo before I start to get the itch to pee on a stick lol 😂

8dpo and bfn but obviously super early so still keeping my fingers crossed!

Feel a bit hit by a bus today, super achy and feel like I need to sit down a lot 😂

@Nmmck93 I’ll have to see what my GP says! We might start with testing OH sperm privately next month as it’s not tooo expensive.

I’m gonna have to start picking up OH some treats more often so when it does happen it won’t seem too out of the blue 😅

I would hate to know how much money I have wasted on tests, prob enough to pay for the private sperm test 😂 I just picked up some boots early tests so I have one for the morning but I caved and did one, BFN ☹️ Hoping I’m still too early and that was only after a 3 hour hold.

@Hotmalibu94 you’re still super early! I’ve read that 9 DPO is the most common day for implantation and then it’ll take around 48 hours for levels rise enough to get a positive test. Fingers crossed for you! 🥰

@kalixxx yeah I kinda just did it early not expecting anything but to get rid of the urge 😂 also turns out my tests are like a year out of date so 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

I’m 11/12 DPO and another BFN for me, assume I’m more than likely out this month. Starting to really lack patience now ☹️

I'm 6DPO today; since yesterday I've had an awful metallic taste in my mouth, I know it's a symptom of pregnancy but it's also a symptom from colds / sinus infection and on Monday I had such a sore face and said to my OH I think I've a sinus infection. So kinda ruled that out as a pregnancy symptom.

Have the usual twinges round my stomach area that I only started getting during my TWW since TTC'ing lol so as of yet not one symptom. Haven't got the urge to pee on a stick either so feeling really confident in being able to hold out 🙈

@Nmmck93 ahha I was probably was! It’s a lot easier to say to other people than to yourself and believe it 🥲 Had a good cry this morning and picked myself up and told myself I need to stay positive and stop overthinking things. I’m only 26 (soon to be 27 though) so there’s still plenty of time, I just thought it would happen a lot quicker!

Weirdly I’ve felt the same, like the twinges only started when I started TTC, but then I think did I just not really notice them as much because I wasn’t looking out for it.

Glad you haven’t gotten the urge yet! It definitely gets easier to wait it out the longer your’re TTC. I would have waited longer if it wasn’t for this spa day this afternoon, at least I can enjoy a massage now!

I said exactly the same, has it always been happening but I just never noticed?

It's totally fine to have a cry, last cycle after giving it such a good go on holidays I think I spent the whole day just constantly crying when AF showed up.

I'm 29, 30 in December; I myself was ready years ago, but my partner wasn't, so now I feel rushed in order to get things going I want to be pregnant before I hit 30 at least 😭

It does get easier, but it also helps that I've been busy and haven't had a chance to think about testing. I also don't keep my tests in the bathroom so by the time I've done FMU and not testing it I feel then it would be a waste any pee going forward that day lol.

Hello ladies. How are we all doing? I had my few days away enjoying wine and hot tub it was really good to switch off. I feel I’m in such a dilemma, work has become really challenging. I had been finding it tricky but manageable and thought I would prioritise having a baby and then reasses after returning from mat leave. As things have taken longer than I expected work has just become unsustainable. I have found myself really unhappy and feeling I need to leave. I’m not sure I can stick it out for getting pregnant and and returning after mat leave plus who knows how long it’ll take. However, if I leave then I will have to pick the TTC on the back burner for a little while. I worked really hard for my career and I feel so conflicted. It’s so hard being a woman and juggling all the balls 🥺

@Bluebell0921 hello, yeah it’s good to switch off isn’t it.
oh it’s so hard to chose between a job that you have worked so hard for and want to further in life and continue TTC’ing. I hope your decision becomes an easy choice for you.
I have to find a new job by September also, but I’m trying not to think about it until like the end of next month at least. 🙈

I’m 9dpo today and tested this morning and stark negative, I’ve had constantly cramps and pain round my ovary area so I’m 100% taking myself to get a full MOT at the doctors in July & going to ask to check if I am ovulating just to give me peace of mind.
put a proper dampener on my day seeing that negative this morning 😭

@Nmmck93 aw I’m so sorry for the disappointment. Honestly it’s been so good to switch off this month. AF came this morn and I was like yay onto another month. Completely different mindset. Good idea to go and chat to the doctor though, I think if it can put your mind at ease then why not! Remember 9dpo is still early though, you’re not out yet! Xx
