Hey everyone!

Is anyone else trying TTC #1?

I think I’m 9DPO although my cycles vary from 28-34 days so I’m really not sure. This is my first cycle TTC so I haven’t tracked ovulation.

I took a clear blue ultra early digital test this morning and BFN, I’ve heard digitals aren’t as accurate, is that true? (The way the test was laid and how I was sat meant the ‘not’ was in the shadow so for a second I thought it just said pregnant, was gutted!)

Any advice on not driving yourself mad during the TWW? 😂

@Nmmck93 @kalixxx well ladies I’m definitely out. AF arrived this morning! My BBT had dropped again quite drastically this morning so I knew she had arrived. I think I was really expecting it so I feel ok. I had a chat with my partner and I think we’re going to take a break from TTC next month.

@kalixxx how are you getting on any sign?

@Nmmck93 I’m sorry you’ve been asked those questions. It’s so intrusive isn’t it. You are so right though if your friend can’t empathise after going through the rollercoaster of TTC then that would say more about them. My best friend conceived by accident from one time and constantly talks about how difficult it was (I understand she wasn’t ready) but I really have to bite my tongue.

@Bluebell0921 aw I'm so sorry she showed her face but I'm glad you feel ok about it. Taking a break could be a good thing for you. Keeps us updated!

@kalixxx how're you doing?

9dpo today; took a cheap early detection test & I think I have line eyes because I feel like I see a shadow but then I'm not sure; I don't want to take a FRER yet or the clear blue 6 days early (as it's still too early for that) - maybe I'll try hold out now until the day before AF is due or just wait to see if she shows up.

@Favofit @BexTTC @Nmmck93 thank you lovelies! I am really all good! The break next month is more coz I have a routine MRI that is probably sensible to have and it’s booked around the TWW. I am then away with my husband during TWW with hot tub so I think on balance next month is just a write off but will also do me good mentally. I will still check in on here though.

@BexTTC @Bluebell0921 I don't have a pic as it wouldn't even pick up in the camera; im staying with my sister tonight and have a test packed so maybe try and test tomorrow to see. Im not sure!

Oh 100% get your MRI; a month missed is nothing over an MRI which if you feel is important I would deffs go for and the break might give you a good headspace for starting the month after.

I'll keep updated through the week.

@Bluebell0921 ahhh I’m so sorry to hear AF showed ☹️ A month off might be just want you need to come back at it with a fresh headspace! You never know it might even happen, everyone seems to say it happens when you stop trying! 😅

AF arrived for me on Saturday, I fully expected it though so I didn’t feel too let down. Weirdly I had some fairly large clots last night. Clots aren’t really normal for me, so I was thinking maybe those faint lines were a chemical?

I debated having a month off this month as we go away early in July so would be nice to just enjoy a drink and not be very early pregnant but OH wants to carry on. Doesn’t seem to be happening anyway so I’ve agreed will continue to trying 🥲😂

I'm expecting mine to show Thursday / Friday.
Have been testing and al negative. Have my usual sore boobs before AF shows.
Think I'm deffs put this month now. 😢

@Nmmck93 you’re still super early! I’d say try and stop testing now, it really helped me when I didn’t test after 11 DPO. It’s so much harder said than done though!

@kalixxx yeah I’m done testing now and just waiting for AF! Deffs think I’m out this month, but going to see if I can get seen by a doctor because during my TWW I was having a lot of pain in my lower right ovary and the odd one on the left so Im just probably going to get checked out just to be safe if AF does show up.

just reread that you where passing clots, is there a way that you can get checked if it was a chemical if clots are unusual for you?

@Nmmck93 sorry for the late response! It’s crazy how much less I thinking about TTC in the first 2 weeks before ovulation 😅

How are you getting on! Probably is a good idea to get the pain checked out, fingers crossed all is ok for you.

I don’t think there’s anyway to check for a chemical unfortunately, I guess I’ll never know 😅

AF arrived for me last night, not as disappointed as I thought I would be, but we're taking a more relaxed approach this month. I'm just going to track my cycle and try just find a peak. We're aiming for every other day starting my fertile week and just try get past ovulation and then keep our heads busy and try not to test early.

Hopefully I stress less and focus on getting our new house sorted 🤞🏻

@Nmmck93 ahh I’m so sorry to hear AF arrived!

That’s what we’re looking to do this month, think about it way less and just be relaxed. I’m not sure if I’m going to track ovulation, I’m pretty regular so I know when it’ll be happening anyway.

The only thing we are going to do is try either pre-seed or conceive plus lube, still can’t decide which to try!

@kalixxx I was actually looking into the lube aswell, need to do some research and get some ordered.

My AF only lasted around 2 days, pretty heavy on Friday and was gone by Saturday evening and hasn't shown a speck since, confused me as I'm pretty much 4/5 days until it fully clears 🙈

Hello all, how are we doing? Some of you must be gearing up for your fertile window @kalixxx ? I mentioned I’m taking a break this month I must say it’s been so nice just forgetting about it, it’s made me realise how consuming it can be. I had EWCM earlier and all of a sudden thought “wait am I in my fertile window?!” I’m digging out the condoms! Haha.

@Nmmck93 oh that’s strange! Have you started any new supplements? I think they can mess with your cycle sometimes (even though they say they won’t!)

@Bluebell0921 I got a flashing smiley last night which was unexpected because it’s a few days earlier than normal. Me and OH were knackered so we didn’t DTD, we’re trying not to force it this month and more go with the flow. I won’t be too mad if it doesn’t happen this month as we’re going on holiday with family next month so will be nice to enjoy the holiday with a drink and not need a 10 day excuse why I can’t drink 😅😂 It’ll also be fertile week when we’re away so we’ll have plenty of time!

@kalixxx no actually haven't, been taking the same supplements for 3 months now. Was so weird, I'm fertile window starts Sunday and predicted Ovulation on Thursday (CD15) but I think ovulation day will be Wednesday as the past two months it's been CD14.
So we've sortve just pre scheduled the evenings of every other day if we're in the mood. We're not forcing this month either, just going with the flow. I'm knackered with packing and moving and still not done officially until next Thursday lol.

Keep us updated with how things are going when you hit your TWW. I always finding the tracking ovulation the hardest and most stressful lol.

We’ve tried to do the same this month, just DTD because we want to not because we feel like we have to!

I thought I’d googled everything to do with TTC however I got something wrong. I thought you ovulate within 24 hours of a positive test not 1-3 days! So we’ve been DTD as much as we can in the run up and then we’re exhausted so take a break for a few days after I get my positive result! 😅 I got my peak on Friday and we DTD Saturday and yesterday, fingers crossed this is what’s been going wrong for us so far!

@kalixxx hey, aww after our positive test we would always squeeze in doing the deed after the positive test aswell.

Realistically if we where going to plan DTD we would have had to of done it last night as we where planning to do every other day but we where both exhausted yesterday and he was on nightshift last night and we didn't and I don't feel bad for it.

I'm due to ovulate Wednesday / Thursday he literally said to me as I left for work this morning that he feels we need to do it tonight and I said 'we'll just see how we fell later, let's not force it'

This month is just the laid back approach for us lol. Im still tracking with OPKs just to be sure lol.

Hope you are all doing well! I’m having a mid life crisis at 32. I’ve been thinking about finding a new job opportunity and came across something really interesting but it’s maternity cover so if I went for it realistically I’d have to pause TTC. I really thought I would’ve had a baby by now. It’s so hard to know what to do, I don’t want to put my life on hold but also don’t want to find myself finding out I can’t conceive in 2 years time and wishing I’d prioritised having a baby. Why is it so hard being a woman?

I think I ovulated yesterday so on 1DPO now 😁 going to try and hold off til the end of the month to test but already driving myself mad!

@Nmmck93 see as soon as we get that positive OPK we’re knackered and just stop doing it 😅

It’s nice taking a relaxed approach isn’t it! I’ve seen so many people say they got pregnant in cycles where they on managed to DTD 1 or 2 times so realistically I don’t think we need to be doing it all the time!

Really hoping for your BFP too this month!!

@Bluebell0921 ahh it’s though isn’t it! I love my job but a few months ago I found basically the same job but the travel wasn’t as far and the pay was slightly better, I decided not to go for it ☹️ it’s so hard not knowing the future isn’t it, if someone could just tell me when it’s going to happen it would be so much easier to plan 😅

@Hotmalibu94 welcome to the thread! 🥰 it’s super hard not to get consumed by it all when you start out so try your best not to test early and not get tooo consumed by it all in the TWW, easier said than done! Baby dust to you, fingers crossed it’ll happen quickly for you!

@Bluebell0921 its so hard, I can’t think of making plans in the near future incase I become pregnant. My 30th birthday is in December & my OH is like ‘I want to take you away somewhere special or throw you a big party but I know if you’re pregnant you’ll not want a big fuss’ - I wouldn’t want a big party anyways so I told him just to book us a nice relaxing weekend away within Northern Ireland / Ireland and I’d be over the moon with that.

@kalixxx yeah, we’ve DTD once this week so far, my peak is today so ovulation within the next three days so my OH has said we have to do it tonight, Saturday and Monday to make sure we covered it 😂 but we moved house so have a lot to do so I told him we’ll see how we feel, I don’t want it to consume me.
i’ve also got the worst head cold and hayfever this week so I’m feeling bleugh already 😂

@Hotmalibu94 welcome lovely! 💜 I find the tracking of OPK and fitting in DTD the hardest part. The TWW is just more symptom spotting and waiting to an appropriate DPO to test or wait for AF! keep updated with your TWW.
