Hi All.

This is a continuation from my past thread, but no need to go read that one if you're new here!

Quick TD;LR from the old post (but with up to date info) - I'm 31, OH is 35. We are TTC baby #1. Been TTC since Jan 2022, now on cycle 14. Haven't told anyone to avoid pressure.

Feel free to post any questions, thoughts, whinges, celebrations, basically anything here!

Going to try to be a bit more positive than I was toward the end of the last thread 😂

Love & baby dust to all. Wishing for BFPs for everyone this year 💖

Hey all, I’ve been lurking in the wings but never wanted to comment as we weren’t properly trying.
I’m 32 and DH is 31 and TTC #1.
Had my implant out towards the end of 21 and although we haven’t actively tried we also haven’t done anything to prevent pregnancy.
We planned to start properly trying this month and I feel so anxious now. There was never any pressure previously if AF came. Im feeling slightly crackers about it all but reading these threads have been a great help.

@Ditzydaisychain hello and welcome! I’m sorry that you’re feeling a little under pressure from ttc. If it’s any help, I too feel this pressure. I felt like dtd was hard because so much importance was attached to getting it just right and being successful. I think it’s likely normal to feel performance pressure at a time like this.

I hope it goes well! Do you have any idea where you are in this cycle (what CD, are you post ovulation, what date will be 14dpo?). I’m 7dpo and going to test in a week; I’m in the two week wait (tww).

Ditzydaisychain · 21/01/2023 22:23

Hi @Feliciacat
Thank you for putting me at ease, realistically you know you’re not alone, but it has reassured me that I’m not crackers in my thoughts.

I am cd 12.
I am only 1dpo so it’s the waiting game now.
I was 2 days early this month which is unheard of for me, which again sent me into a worry that I wouldn’t ovulate as normal (I did), but DH reassured me it just means a few less days waiting to test.

I hope all goes well for you. I will be thinking of you

Aww fingers crossed for you in two weeks :) Thank you, I’ll be thinking of you too!

Welcome! You are definitely not alone, when we first started I was analysing every tiny symptom and testing so early. But rest assured it gets less all-consuming as time goes on. Hopefully it is a nice quick process for you and you have your BFP really soon :)

Did anyone have cramping coming off the pill? I don't think I should be due my period for another week or so, unless my cycles have become shorter (hard to tell after so long on birth control!).

Report
TinyDancer91 · 24/01/2023 01:05

@IsLarryFromSomething how long after coming off are you talking? Since coming off the pill I get cramps when AF is due but didn't really before going on the pill. I was on it for about 12 years and didn't bleed at all while taking it, so it was all a bit of a shock to the system when I stopped 😂

How is everyone doing? I'm currently half way through the TWW and had to go for my day 21 bloods today (again! There was a 'lab error' last time).

Still trying not to symptom spot but always wondering and hoping that this will be the one.

Love & baby dust to all 💕

About 3 weeks. Before I was on it I had terrible cramps when I was on my period but this feels different. Hormones huh 😂

Hello everyone!

Cycle day 2 today 😂 and I’ve a banging cold - feels so much worse when you’re on AF! Works going to be so much fun… 🤓

age 30, TTC first, endo confirmed but op to remove seems to have been successful, TTC since July 2022 officially (plus around a year or more pre op in 2019)

TinyDancer91 · 24/01/2023 09:51

@IsLarryFromSomething I'd imagine it's probably normal if you had cramps before then. I know hormones suck 😂

If they carry on for too much longer or if you are worried, try speaking to your GP, see what they say.

Have you had a withdrawal bleed yet?

@Yolo23 AF is crappy enough without a cold! Hope you're feeling better soon!!

I am 8dpo today. Feeling very tired and very gassy today! Like I said, trying not to symptom spot as I know realistically it's too early for any anyway! Did have some unusual twinges around my left hip yesterday evening which has sent my brain into overdrive!

OH has an appointment with the GP today so we'll see how that goes!

Yes I have had a withdrawal bleed, so I'm looking for my period in a week or so.

Hi all,
Been lurking for a while but only just worked up to posting today. Partner and I are TTC our first, this is cycle 6 for us. I'm on CD20, 9DPO (I ovulate early and hoping this will be ok as right on the cusp of "normal").
The TWWs are so brutal, such a lonely time when you're limited on who you can talk to without folk knowing you're trying! These chats are helping keep me sane but only just 😂
Huge congrats to those that have had their BFPs, much love and luck to those still trying. Xx

Welcome @NervousNoo! And we'll done for gathering the courage to post! There will be no stopping you now, once you open the door just a little, it will be more like opening the floodgates! 😂

Feel free to post about anything on here, everyone is welcome to share whatever they need to and we won't judge 💕

OH has an appointment for a semen analysis on 3rd feb, so glad we won't be in the fertile window then as he can't DTD for 2-3 days before!

At least we will know by then if this is our month or not too. AF is due around 1st.
