Hi All.

This is a continuation from my past thread, but no need to go read that one if you're new here!

Quick TD;LR from the old post (but with up to date info) - I'm 31, OH is 35. We are TTC baby #1. Been TTC since Jan 2022, now on cycle 14. Haven't told anyone to avoid pressure.

Feel free to post any questions, thoughts, whinges, celebrations, basically anything here!

Going to try to be a bit more positive than I was toward the end of the last thread 😂

She’s amazing thanks 🥰 she’s doing so well, can’t believe she’s almost 5 weeks old already!! She was weighing in at 8lb 4 oz last week so she gained 1lb 4oz in about 2 weeks

My 12 week scan has gone well and I had my NIPT results and found out the gender from the blood test. There are no chromosomal abnormalities and it’s a boy! Woohoo!

I hope you’re all enjoying your lovely little babies and that you have a wonderful first Easter with them xxx

Oh hi TinyDancer! Great to hear from you! How is sweet Charlotte? How is Mum life in general?

I am 35 weeks with Sebastian; he’s due on 31/10/25 but I’m having an elective c section so it will be a few days before that (sometime in week 39). I’ve had high blood pressure and apparently I’m at risk of pre-eclampsia and strokes because of having had ivf. However, my blood pressure is under control thanks to meds from 11 weeks and I’ve been taking blood thinners since 28 weeks and so far so good. He’s 50th percentile too which is good as they told me that ivf causes placental insufficiency!

I’ve got all my baby stuff but the house is a tip because we need to declutter! I’m happy to be in this position though!

@Feliciacatlove the name!! So excited for you to have him in your arms finally!

Charlotte is amazing, she’s almost 8 months old now!! How did that happen?! She is loving food, likes to watch Elmo and would rather be on her feet than sitting or lying down 🥰 we started swimming lessons a few weeks back too and she is so relaxed in the water, I’m a little jealous as I can’t swim myself! 😂

Thats good news that they have kept your blood pressure under control. We were told
the ivf increased certain risks too, luckily for us, my pregnancy was fine (other than low papp-a).

The fact that she prefers being on her feet might mean she’s like you! Maybe she’ll be a tiny dancer too one day! I didn’t know babies could swim so early (I have no clue about these things) but that’s great! I reckon you could learn if you wanted to. Maybe now is a good time?

Tiny she sounds wonderful. We started swimming at four months and my little terror loves water now at 16 months. Ours was the same and loved to be on his feet, he started walking at 10 months so be ready for that 🤣.

I’ll be thinking of you this month Felicia. sounds like you’ve had a lot going on through pregnancy. I hope everything goes well with your section. Sebastian is a lovely name. Can’t wait to hear all about him. Fabulous due date by the way. I always secretly wanted a Halloween baby

I was going to come and check in and update you all that we were expecting again, but sadly I miscarried at almost 8 weeks. They would have been due around March/April time. We weren’t actively trying so was just a happy surprise, breastfeeding stopped my periods and I didn’t realise they were back. I feel okay most of the time but occasionally it gets me and I feel overwhelmed with grief that I don’t get to meet that tiny person. Anyway sorry to go on.
