Short luteal phase?

Hi ladies

I have a short LP, about 9-10 days. Anyone else in the same boat? Have you managed to get pregnant with a short LP? Any advice would be very welcome!

Hi @Carlotta27 I‘ve been told to continue using the pessaries for 12 weeks if I get pregnant so I’ll be using them for as long as it takes or until we do IVF, plus 12 weeks I guess!

I’m feeling good about IVF, part of me just wants to start now but even going private the earliest date we could get was October anyway which gives us 5 months of trying post-HyCoSy. I know it won’t be a walk in the park but anything to increase our chances. I’ll be 39 in Sept so we’ll go straight for IVF, but if I was younger I would probably try IUI first.

So you have this cycle plus one more on the pessaries and trigger shot? Fingers crossed for you!

I can imagine it’s a bit frustrating having committed to IVF and now having to wait! I guess it gives you time to take extra supplements or make and lifestyle changes that are recommended.

Yes, final two cycles of this approach for me! Trying to be calm and positive about IVF - you’ll have to update us when you get there. Best of luck to you too for the next few months - we may well not need IVF after all! X
