I always seem to get ill at the same time as I get a positive pregnancy test - usually just a cold/weird ear infection. Last time it was norovirus. Not much fun! Perhaps it does mess with our immune systems, although that does seem a bit of a design flaw! (3 of these pregnancies went on to be completely normal, so no obvious link to mc etc)

Fuckallthetories · 22/10/2022 09:46

i can definitely see a line, even without squinting!!! Eeeekk. 🤞🤞

TheBirdintheCave · 22/10/2022 10:10

@bubble55 Yep obvs a positive 🤷🏻‍♀️

mummatara · 22/10/2022 10:18

So I know I've had good blood test results in the last week to show level is coming down but there's nothing quite like seeing the weeks difference on a pregnancy test 😆

@mummatara deffo on its way out 🥳🥳

@bubble55 deffo can see a line on that!

@lizziecat1 I think it is actually a thing. If your immune system is too active an can prevent implantation. So it does almost lower a bit and initially I think you are more susceptible. I’ve always gotten colds sore throats. Ulcers in my mouth first few weeks of being pregnant. As your immune system is busy else where I think.

Luna57 · 22/10/2022 10:36

@SailawaygirlI started bleeding 2 weeks ago today and passed the tissue 6 days ago. I’ve just stopped bleeding completely as of last night I’d say I’m negative now but I’ve not tested. I’m due to have a scan on Monday but I think I might call to cancel it I think it would be a waste of time.

@RaliaMuscawith my last Mc I only bled for 2 days which makes me wonder was there maybe something retained while my tests were negative? I had actually no signs I was really ovulating after the Mc I had positive OPKs and EWCM 2 weeks after I tested negative, 18dpo still negative so I just waited for af after that I had water for cm literally no stretch to it or colour just water and 2 weeks after I initially thought I’d ovulated that’s when I must of ovulated. I’m in 2 minds to just try when I’ve EWCM or to wait for af but because I’ve bled so much this time I don’t know. My cycles would be quite long as well they’ve always been like that.

@FfayeN i really hope the pink cm doesn’t does progress to anything. Could just be the wee bean getting comfortable in there. My 12 week scan appointment letter came in the day I started having my first mc.

@RaliaMusca my mum was also 3 months along before she found out she was pregnant with me. It was just before my brother and sisters first birthday and she opened a tin of tuna and nearly passed out and she just thought ‘aww fuck not again’ she had 3 under 2 years old.

@Mamaseekingrainbowsorry to hear of your loses! I truly think there’s a connection between covid and loses etc I don’t think we’ll find out any of this for a long long time though. With my first Mc I also had a bad feeling I just knew something wasn’t right when I tested positive (I cried many tears and thought how will we do this ds was only 10 months). With this Mc I was iffy but optimistic but with both the Mc I never had any symptoms. With ds I didn’t have many symptoms but had sore boobs, hunger and nauseous.

ChloeN · 22/10/2022 10:50

@bunnykins123 mines just a cold atm but I can’t really breath I’m so bunged up😑 I’m working this morning and I everytime I talk I sound so weird 🤣

@lizziecat1 both times I’ve been pregnant I’ve been ill so it probably is connected or just really really bad luck🤣

@Indianna2006 i hope this cold is a sign of something then🤞🏻🤞🏻

Sailawaygirl · 22/10/2022 10:50

@mummatara how long is it taking for your levels to go down?
@Luna57 my 2 weeks is on Monday and I stopped bleeding 4 days ago but still showing a weak positive on pregnancy test. I'm hoping it gets to negative by Monday as I would rather not have to go back for extra scans ect.

HalWin2221 · 22/10/2022 11:01

@bubble55 can definitely see a line! Keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🏽

RaliaMusca · 22/10/2022 11:02

I'm also always ill in early pregnancy. Currently on my second cold in three weeks. Last time I had an awful cough that lasted for ages (not Covid). I'm also pretty sure I had a chemical pregnancy in May that didn't stick because I had such an awful bout of sinusitis complete with high temperature that I was only able to get rid of with antibiotics. Why do our bodies make it so bloody difficult?

bunnykins123 · 22/10/2022 11:59

@ChloeN interesting so many ladies had colds after getting a bfp. I defo have a cold at about 5 weeks with DD. I've already started popping Sudafed, I literally can't stand not being able to breathe.

@mummatara there is nothing better than seeing a fading line 👏 so happy it's finally going down!

@bubble55 defo a line - congratulations!

mummatara · 22/10/2022 12:39

@Sailawaygirl I started bleeding 3 weeks ago and stopped 1.5 weeks ago. It's def coming down quicker than it did with my first MMC but I had surgery that time and it took 6 weeks to drop to negative.

Sailawaygirl · 22/10/2022 13:12

@mummatara wow for some reason I thought it would come down faster after mmc or surgery. There really isn't much detailed information about MC on 'reliable' sources. I'd have been so lost without forums and reading real ppls stories

mummatara · 22/10/2022 13:18

@Sailawaygirl I know what you mean I had no idea it would take so long I kind of thought you had the mc then poof you just carried on as normal 🤦🏼‍♀️ it wasn't until I started chatting to the ladies in here that I found out it was so normal for them to take a while to drop down. I opted to wait for it to happen naturally this time as I thought it won't be such a shock to the body and will come down quicker. Guess it all depends on how high it was to begin with I had a blood test the week after I found out it was likely an empty sac and my level was 79000 so it had a long way to drop.

Everythingzrosie · 22/10/2022 13:39

Hi ladies, 12DPO, 2nd cycle after my MMC and I’m spotting. I never spot before AF but since my MMC both cycles I’ve spotted, no sore boobs so think I’ve got low progesterone. Plus I’m getting dizzy spells. Maybe I’m entering the menopause 😩

bunnykins123 · 22/10/2022 13:49

@Sailawaygirl I agree with @mummatara regarding how quick / slowly levels go down. I had a MMC at 10.5 weeks and my levels were stupidly high so took me almost 3 months for the levels to come down. There was nothing wrong, just took an absolute age!

@Everythingzrosie I think spotting before a period is normal. I sometimes spot, sometimes not - always have done. I think hormones can be a bit wobbly after a miscarriage though so I wouldn't worry 💕

Everythingzrosie · 22/10/2022 13:50

@bunnykins123 I hope it is the MMC that has caused my hormones to be a bit off like you say x

MrsCristianoX · 22/10/2022 15:02

@Everythingzrosie I don't think so 😂 I was sweating yesterday started thinking early menopause..but hopefully not. Cycles still regular 😅

MrsCristianoX · 22/10/2022 15:03

@Everythingzrosie ooh and I spotted for 2 cycles after miscarriage. No spotting since 🙏

Everythingzrosie · 22/10/2022 15:05

@MrsCristianoX I’m 44 so I’m really paranoid (& scared) of menopause because it means the end… 😩🫣 I want to decide the end, not my body. I want another baby! My cycles have already settled into my pre MMC cycle so that’s good but noticed my 5 day ewcm until ov is now just 2 days.

Everythingzrosie · 22/10/2022 15:07

@MrsCristianoX oh that’s good to know x maybe I need to give my body a bit of slack x

HalWin2221 · 22/10/2022 17:21

Feeling so anxious today about being pregnant again, I’ve tried to keep myself busy but nothing seems to be taking this feeling away 🙁 anyone got any tips?

FfayeN · 22/10/2022 17:38

@Everythingzrosie my cycles didn't settle until about 4 months after MC (I still ovulated and they were fairly regular but weren't my 'normal'). Hopefully they will go back shortly 🥰.
@HalWin2221 nope I'm with you girlie...each day is dragging quite substantially. So also in the same boat of partly wanting to keep busy but also partly not wanting to do anything and over do it! X

Everythingzrosie · 22/10/2022 17:39

@FfayeN thank you, it’s reassuring to know that ☺️

MrsCristianoX · 22/10/2022 17:46

@Everythingzrosie I know lovely..44 would be early menopause too I got hormones checked but there's such a range of levels anyway and they came back as normal. Sorry not replying earlier was at work trying to lock up and some crazy person started banging the shutters 😱🤯 you have a little one anyway? I'm on 6 week (medicine induced) break but my youngest is 16 I think my body has forgotten what to do
