Hey ladies, I'm back from a little holiday feeling all rested and exhausted at the same time 🤭😉 I'm in the TWW but have no idea when I ovulated this month, or even if I did ovulate because although I wasn't tracking, I don't recall EWCM (but just an increase in CM) so who knows. AF should be otherwise due late next weekend or shortly thereafter.

I'm not too optimistic this month because of taking a little break from tracking but still, it might happen we DTD a lot 🤞

Good luck to you all in the TWW, hope you're over COVID, soon over AF blues and thank you for starting a new thread!

@Skylark1990 congrats in the BFP 😀

@FfayeN no reason that I know of, but they were never tested as I've 'only' had two. I have had basic and blood clotting tests which are clear, so putting it down to bad luck!

@LuckyMoonstone ohh great news! You've got at least a week of relaxation before TWW stress sets in 😂

@bunnykins123 hope AF stays away for you x

Thank you @bunnykins123 and @FfayeN I'll have a chat to them... Even though pregnant I'd be so early on I wonder if it would skew things. My most recent MC was only 4 weeks ago so I imagine it's fine to have the clotting tests sort of close to pregnancy as they've booked them in but like you say maybe would skew if actually pregnant! Anyway professor Quenby said she'd give me progesterone and early scans so does sound like theyll look after me. I already have some progesterone from the previous pregnancy ofc as was given during my MC to help stop it but it didn't work, too late or perhaps not caused by progesterone. Anyway I do need some more so that's good it'll be easy to get it!

@Margo34 hello! And thank you. Still v early days at 12dpo and I've had 3 losses so you can imagine the worry... BUT am hopeful, have progesterone this time! I remember you from the TTC no 2 thread I think? How are you? I'm so sorry you had another loss - was it your second? Xx

Hi again everyone 👋 I was away camping for the weekend with no phone signal or WiFi so a lot to catch up on, and a whole new thread created 😆😬

Congrats @Skylark1990 so pleased for you and to see a BFP in this group 😀 wishing you all the best.

Well I am now 4 DPO! I was feeling happy with BD timings this month but now I’ve started worrying we didn’t do it enough 😆 what do you all reckon?..peak on CD12 so ovulation prob on CD13 and BD on CD9, CD11, CD12 and CD13. Really was hoping to fit another BD in on CD14 but was just too tired 😴

Astar21 · 01/08/2022 11:03

@emhope I'm 4DPO too! Yes I'd absolutely say you've done enough 😊 The few days leading up to and including the day of ovulation give you the best chance. When I first conceived last year we only DTD twice, day before and day of Ovulation, so it definitely doesn't take much!
We love camping but haven't managed it yet this year!

Hi girls,

Hoping I can join: TTC my first after two MMCs, one in October one in June. Ignoring OPKs and just DTD every/every other day from CD9, now on CD16 so either have ovulated or will do soon. Had some left side twinges on Saturday (usually ovulate CD14/15) which is annoying as my left tube is blocked 😫

Really hoping it happens for us this month or next as I'm 39 so we've decided to do IVF in October if not pregnant by then.

Why is this all so laborious!?!

@Skylark1990 yes I was on the TTC #2 thread, still am I think, thought I recognised you! I have had 2 back to back losses this year, one 9w and the next almost 6w. I've had 3 altogether now but because the first one was before I had my DC1 apparently that doesn't count, even though the RCOG guidance around MC care is changing this year, it hasn't changed yet so it's still 3 consecutive losses or nothing. It's so infuriating.

www.rcog.org.uk/news/new-draft-guideline-outlines-best-practice-for-treating-recurrent-miscarriage/

I will keep my fingers firmly crossed for you and a sticky little one this time but I totally get the worry, hope the progesterone helps, that'll definitely make a difference from your last experiences.

@Margo34 that is so ridiculous that they have to be consecutive! Really hope that changes asap

Report
Indianna2006 · 01/08/2022 14:43

@LuckyMoonstone yay for ovulation pain and dtd. Tww starts for you now!

@Margo34 agreed feel like it should be consecutive. ive had 3 losses now too. Mmc before my DD at 13 weeks. Mmc at 8 weeks. And a chemical loss at like 4+5 but I think chemicals we know about as testing nowadays are sooo early and it happens with way more woman than they’d know about.
lots of eggs are not viable. And lots of blastocysts would try to implant and fail. And that’s normal and to be expected. We just catch it on tests now I think. at least half of all fertilised eggs prob fail and that could possibly be caught on a test.

i do wonder sometimes if these frer indents are very very early implantations but it’s doesn’t get very far at all. So we say it’s an indent. Then frers are almost too sensitive tbh 😩😩
cos some months I have no indent even when there is a grey line before 🤔

Thank you all for the kind words ❤️❤️❤️

@Margo34 that is completely rubbish they need to be consecutive. I have heard of some GPS prescribing it after two losses so it could be worth trying to push for it when next pregnant. You can also go private to get it - not sure how much that would cost tho. I really hope the guidance becomes live asap! The benefit in the trial was found for women who have had two and three previous miscarriages so it definitely makes sense to explore it. Ofc if you had bleeding you should get it right away.

@Indianna2006 I've noticed that about the frer indent too! It seems to be there then disappears even when it's bfn. I think it must just be how it responds to getting wet? So sorry for your losses to.

Two of my losses were "chemical" pregnancies and they do actually count in terms of number of losses / consecutive if wanting to be referred. Mine were at just before 5 weeks (I think 4+5 and 4+6) and I'd had loads of positive tests, very sore boobs and lots of cramping etc, the line also got steadily darker for a bit, but then it started fading and I started bleeding. My third loss was 6.3 and it definitely had a different feeling and felt worse but chemicals can be so devastating too. 💔

Indianna2006 · 01/08/2022 15:20

@Skylark1990 oh yes I know. Its upsetting whatever. Because you still get those lines. Just that actually statically it’s normal for eggs try try implant and fail. And that isn’t because anything is wrong with you neccesarily. Human conception is actually rather crap and not very affective compared to other mammals.

Its obviously an issue if it because of something else other than just chromosome issues with eggs..which is normal part of humans an we can’t do anything about that.
For some it may be progesterone or blood clotting etc which is a different issue of course.. and needs assistance to help if that’s the cause.

Also think some womens wombs are fussier than others. The uterus sets like a test the egg has to pass to implant.

and actually why sometimes it takes so long. Cos you need all them things to add up. Sperm to get there. Egg to fertilise. It to divide correctly. Choose to implant and your uterus accept it.

meh no wonder it’s so bloody hard! Lol

@Indianna2006 yes all true, agree! It's just so hard to know if it's a normal part of human error or something more sinister even with chemicals, I guess having one or two could be considered bad luck but if you have consecutive 3 or more, or also have other MC, it's more likely to be an actual issue... We do seem to be quite fertile so maybe my uterus isn't fussy 😅 I get pregnant easily but this year it's been a struggle to hold onto them 😞 I just hope this one is a sticky bean! And I am thankful that we seem to fall easily 🤞🌈

@Skylark1990 yes it is so hard to know. You’re right. And especially 3 in a row. Like I can see why they say it needs to be 3. As 2 I think can just be error and bad luck on the chromosome side…as 1 in 4 are supposedly lost. but once it’s 3 in a row. Can deffo signal an issue.

My 1st mmc was a blighted ovum. An they can only be cause by chromosome issues so I’m sure on that one. An my next one was fine and I got DD.

But this mc had a heartbeat but wasn’t measuring right 2 weeks behind and then heart stopped. So unsure on that one. But going off that my body holds on for dear life to these pregnancies and won’t mc them naturally and my progesterone never wants to drop I don’t think that’s an issue for me.

Think I just have dodgy eggs that implant 🙄🙈 hoping for a good egg next time 🤞🏼 Waiting patiently. Lol.

hopefully the progesterone makes a difference for you 🤞🏼

Hi lovely ladies, I have got one question for after miscarriage. Is it usually straight forward to get tests on autoimmune diseases /other tests after one loss? I recall there was a thread on the checklist (think its on here) but not able to locate it.

So a bit of my situation to give)-had one mc and it's been more than half year ago been trying for only twice afterwards (when cycles allow). I am 40 and feel like there isn't too much time to trial and error... (how I wish i had learnt about all the fertility biology a bit better earlier in life!) 😅
My period post mc have been irregular sadly, though there wasn't such issues before that.

Would appreciate some advice ladies. 😊Xx

@mummatara don’t tww is the worst. Actually dreading this months. As it’s dragged just to fertile window.

tons of EWCM todays but opk is super low. Thinking I’ll get peak tomorrow and ovulate. I always ovulate the SAME day I get my peak. Dunno if that’s usual but I usually get peak 10-2pm and ovulate that evening.

I shall be seducing DH after Love island final hahaha 😂🍆

@MrsCristiano where are you at in your cycle lovely?

Hi @Aprilsunnyday ☺️. If you're looking private it's as easy as finding a clinic to do them and having the funds, on the NHS you will probably find they will do general blood profiles to rule out anything obvious but you may have to push harder for fertility tests. I'd book a GP appointment and see what you can get first off. It's worth it to see if they'll investigate why your cycles are off (as could be your thyroid for example which is an easy fix once you know about it). Get the basics done and you can then make choices from there. You could also pay for these private it just depends on your means and how urgent you'd like answers
Xx
