I guess you could potentially contact Dr S through his private clinic and he would be able to access your NHS results, it may mean paying for a consultation (which I think are a couple of weeks waiting time) but that'll be much cheaper than paying for all the tests.
I'm not sure on freedom of information requests in relation to personal test results, but it could be something to look at if you don't get an answer from CRP?
Might be worth creating a thread asking the question see if anyone has had the same. It's ludicrous they're expecting you to wait that long. Alternatively could you call the Gynaecology department or EPU to see if they could assist bearing in mind your now pregnant? Just throwing ideas out incase it'll help 😊 x

Indianna2006 · 11/08/2022 18:55

@MrsCristiano sorry hun ☹️☹️

@Margo34 sorry for hear about your results. Hopefully you can get some answers tomorrow and some help with this pregnancy

I had my reoccurring melt down yesterday which I seem to have about every 2 weeks. Just unconsolable. And poor DH was just left trying to cheer me up. I think perhaps this is just part of the process of grieving what could of been. But man it sucks.
And also it constantly being on my brain. Just can’t switch off can you.

but gonna try focus on summer I have with DD and try to stress less. Be on my phone less. Take her in before she starts full time school

theblueflowers · 11/08/2022 18:58

@bunnykins123 I'm sorry I don't have any advice but that is absolutely ridiculous and so unfair for you. To not even give you the option of seeing your results seems so cruel! I hope you get some answers soon.

MrsCristiano · 11/08/2022 22:24

@bunnykins123 omg that is soo frustrating. They are YOUR blood results so therefore should be entitled to see them.

Similar thing happened to me (nothing to do with ttc) but I paid for an mri privately. There was an abnormality but they refused to share the scan with me. Luckily my best friend is a gp receptionist and she was able to access the info so when the consultant rang me 2 weeks later I already knew what was wrong

bunnykins123 · 12/08/2022 09:02

@MrsCristiano urgh why do they do that! I can't understand it AT ALL. I'm just so mad because my results are sitting on their computer and they won't release them in any way to me. Even my GP said they haven't released them to the clinic either 🤦‍♀️

@theblueflowers thank you! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks waiting 3 months is utterly ridico! We've decided to sack off the NHS and go private.

@Indianna2006 oh hun - how are you doing today? It's totally normal to have good days and bad days. I find it totally consuming too. Be kind to yourself, I know it's hard but you just have to have the belief that you will get there. Which you will 💕

@FfayeN I could do but I reckon he will charge ££££ for the privilege. I found another lady on here who said the same and managed to get her results ago I've PM'ed her to see what she did. Let's see if she replies. Otherwise the only other option would be to throw gdpr at them and demand them which I really really don't want to do as I'm a huge supporter of the NHS and don't want to be like that with them. Defo rock and hard place situ!

How's everyone doing today? Happy Friday ladies - wine tonight for me 🫠

@bunnykins123 You have options but hopefully it won't come to that. I too fully support the NHS, but I support myself and my interests more! Just keep yourself a priority when negotiating what you want. (I am terrible for this 🤣).

How are you all doing?

@Margo34 good luck with your appointment today I hope it brings some reassurance.

@MrsCristiano @LuckyMoonstone hope you're both ok

@Indianna2006 hope you're doing better today, this TWW is dragging and despite telling myself I won't symptom spot, here I am 6DPO analysing every little thing so be kind to yourself, feel what you need to 😘.

@Clairel77 I've had both longer and shorter cycles after each MC so can't really help there, how's the migraine today? Any sign of AF?

xx

LuckyMoonstone · 12/08/2022 09:32

@bunnykins123 same here 🍷 I wasn’t going to drink tonight but we’ve been invited to a bbq so that’s out the window 😂

TheBirdintheCave · 12/08/2022 10:03

@bunnykins123 That's just crazy that they'd keep your results for so long! I'm sorry they've put so much stress on you :(

@Indianna2006 I always think I'm ok and then something will happen like yesterday a new lady showed up at Zumba who was 20 weeks pregnant and talking about it with the teacher. All I could think was 'I should be 28 weeks now' :(

...

I'm CD1 today. AF started properly right on time this morning making it a 37 day cycle which is my longest in months and months. Fingers crossed it was just because I was ill during the time I should have ovulated so that delayed it. I really don't want to go back to waiting an extra week every time.

Positive points: I'm currently sewing some new shorts and blouses for Spain and I don't have to worry about them not fitting now. I can also still wear my pretty sundresses 😁

I'm going to throw the kitchen sink at this cycle and hope I get a positive just before we go away.

...though I would be sad to miss out on the sangrias 😂

MrsCristiano · 12/08/2022 11:19

@TheBirdintheCave I'm for Spain early September too. Still it's a kick in the gut when someone announces..got told yesterday a work colleague was 12 weeks pregnant as my bleeding started just ugh 😩

TheBirdintheCave · 12/08/2022 11:46

@MrsCristiano Ooh where abouts are you going? :) We're off to Granada (with an overnight in Nerja) on the 15th. We were meant to be going for my birthday on the 26th but my husband wasn't allowed to take that week off as he works in a uni and that's the week that the students return x__x

FfayeN · 12/08/2022 11:53

@MrsCristiano @TheBirdintheCave I'm with you, if I'm out this month it'll be the day I go to France I know, so it'll either be copious amounts of wine...or copious amounts of croissants 😂

@TheBirdintheCave sorry AF arrived but I love your PMA for this cycle. Sometimes as depressing as CD 1 is, it's also a new beginning to go again so go you 💪🏼

mummatara · 12/08/2022 12:41

@pangolin84 how are you? did you test again today?

MrsCristiano · 12/08/2022 12:44

@TheBirdintheCave Barcelona early September!' V excited too!! AF cramps are killing me today just want to curl up in bed☹️ I need your PMA today

Luna57 · 12/08/2022 13:49

Hi, I’ve been following this thread since my MC at the end of July and was wondering if I could join? Firstly, I’m so sorry for every single one of your loses ❤️

I found out I was pregnant 20th July unexpectedly. My DS was 10 months at the time so more babies weren’t on our cards for another couple years. It took me a couple days to come around to the idea of having 2 under 2 but I don’t know, the pregnancy didn’t feel right to me just over a week later I tested again to see the line had got significantly lighter and the next day the bleeding, clots and cramps started I would of been 6 weeks. From then on my heart felt empty and my DH and I decided we wanted to have another baby. My cycles have never been typical and always sporadic. I decided to do a couple of OPK to see how messed up the MC had made my already messed up cycle. Today is CD15 and I’ve a positive on OPK and EWCM. Did anyone else’s MC make their cycles like a ‘normal’ cycle. When I conceived with DS in 2020 I didn’t hit fertile window til CD27 so this definitely isn’t normal for me.

Pancake92 · 12/08/2022 14:11

@Luna57 I would usually get a positive ovulation test on CD16 but after m/c, I got a positive on CD12 so that was interesting.
Wishing everyone best of luck ❤It can be so hard to stay positive sometimes but it is important we do 🌺x

Pancake92 · 12/08/2022 14:15

@bunnykins123 so sorry to hear about your results. How inconsiderate of them, as if things were not difficult enough already... I don't understand why they can't discuss everything over the phone at least.

pangolin84 · 12/08/2022 14:16

@mummatara BBT was still high this morning. I used the clearblue digital that I had left and it said not pregnant.
Feeling a bit sad and weirdly annoyed that I’ve not started bleeding yet and my temp is high. I guess my progesterone must still be high. It’s all a bit strange.
Still, trying to stay positive for the future but it is difficult.

pangolin84 · 12/08/2022 14:19

Welcome @Luna57 - sorry you’ve had to join us but it’s a very supportive group.
In my experience my cycles went a bit haywire after my miscarriages, so I wouldn’t be to surprised. In my case my luteal phase was really short. Your hormones take a bit of time to get back to normal - apparently it can sometimes take months.

TheBirdintheCave · 12/08/2022 15:17

@Luna57 Weirdly yes. My cycles post MMC have been the closest I've ever got to a 'standard' 28 day cycle.

Luna57 · 12/08/2022 15:28

Thank you @Pancake92 and @pangolin84

Im not expecting much this month, we just kind of wanted to do the ‘if it happens, it happens’ but you know how it is you become a POAS addict to see when you’re fertile etc 😂 I never contacted my GP about the MC as I got negative test a week after so just assumed it was all passed. Is that the right thing to do? I never contacted my GP about my first pregnancy either I just self referred so I’m not sure the ins and outs of documenting MC or anything.

mummatara · 12/08/2022 16:01

@pangolin84 ah that's rubbish so sorry lovely 😢 I hope she turns up quickly for you so you can start afresh 💕

pangolin84 · 12/08/2022 16:31

Thanks @mummatara.
I think the worst part is how unsurprised I am. The connection between a positive pregnancy test and a baby just isn’t there for me anymore. Anyway, going to mope for a bit then keep trying again.

FfayeN · 12/08/2022 17:01

@pangolin84 so sorry to hear this 😩

Indianna2006 · 12/08/2022 17:01

@pangolin84 oh I’m sorry hun. It’s so unfair. Like you said. By how many dpos now the clearblue would likely and should be saying pregnant ☹️

for some reason your tests just seemed to stay the same strength. bodies and getting pregnant is weird!

the cycle I had my chemical. I tested and got a good frer line. And then the next day it was half as faint so knew it was a chemical. I waited 2 days still no period. Tested again. It was half as faint again. But still a line. So I was now 5 days late. Temp still high. So I knew my body still thought I was pregnant. But 6th day my temp dropped and I started to bleed.
so is likely what’s happening. But it took a while for my body to cotton on.

ugh. It’s shit. I’m so sorry.

keep going. We all keep going. It’s all we can do. There will be one which sticks. For all of us. I’m certain of it ✨

Margo34 · 12/08/2022 17:08

So my break from MN didn't last long 🫣

I had my GP appt this morning, answered some questions and raised some more! They said my blood test results were outside of the normal range which is why they were flagged but not enough to be of concern and they don't believe significant enough to contribute to my MCs. The red flags were for thrombophilia/blood clotting and also a high Red blood count.

I asked about progesterone and wanted my GP to get my levels checked for that for this pregnancy - instead they just prescribed it anyway. So I have no idea whether my progesterone levels are low and would benefit from a twice daily pessary supplement (cyclogest). It also says do not take of breastfeeding, which GP knows I am still nursing my 22m old.

This may not be the best group to ask in but you ladies have a wealth of knowledge so thought I'd ask if anyone has any experience with it?

@LuckyMoonstone still haven't told my DH yet, last few times he moaned I did it in the most inappropriate way like dropping into conversation over breakfast and handing him the test at the breakfast table 😂 so if anyone has any better ideas how I can tell my DH please send them my way!
