@Indianna2006 yea I know what you mean I haven't filtered it because I think if you need to filter something you are kidding yourself.

@LuckyMoonstone i actually have no words. Just ugh 💔

Indianna2006 · 10/08/2022 08:37

@LuckyMoonstone okay for some reason it seems that the miscarriage has perhaps scewed your body and your hormones which is why it’s a bit haywire. Some month your obviously ovulating later. An then with the LP change. Could be a progesterone hormone issue. It’s taking a while to settle down. Or it can just be if ovulation is weak. Then the corpus luteal doesn’t produce as much progesterone naturally and can make the LP shorter.
deffo speak to the Docter about it all. But I hear good things about accupunture and ppl shortening their follicle phase if it’s really long and boosting ovulation. Maybe you could try that? See if they can help you settle your hormones down?
sorry that’s about as much info I know about what could be going on. After my first loss 5 years ago my cycles like 3-4 months to settles. My hormones were a bit haywire too. Hope you can get it back to normal xx

MrsCristiano · 10/08/2022 08:38

@TheBirdintheCave DH was running around like a maniac and I haven't told him yet🙈 FRERs on Friday for us both 😩

LuckyMoonstone · 10/08/2022 08:50

@Indianna2006 thank you I appreciate it. It’s been 7 months now. I don’t know how to sort it out myself so I hope my doctor takes me seriously and helps me.

TheBirdintheCave · 10/08/2022 08:51

@MrsCristiano I think I'll get my husband to hide the tests next month 😂

Indianna2006 · 10/08/2022 08:52

@LuckyMoonstone so stressful for you when you just wanna be pregnant again and don’t even feel like your cycles are properly settled.

@theblueflowers how are you lovely? You’ve been quiet. Hope you’re okay xx

pangolin84 · 10/08/2022 09:03

@Indianna2006 Yes AF now officially late (14dpo) although last month I had a very short luteal phase so wasn’t really sure when it was due.
Here is today’s test anyway. Seems to be zero progression from 4 days ago! @mummatara I guess it could be a dodgy batch. Going to leave it a week and see what happens. This morning’s temp was still high. Just confused 🤷‍♀️

@TheBirdintheCave I'm so sorry you've got a bfn 😢 I hate early testing, it actually makes me feel physically sick peeing on a stick!

@LuckyMoonstone oh I'm sorry your hormones are all over the shop and giving you irregular cycles. Recovering from MC is so hard let alone lingering effects 💐

Margo34 · 10/08/2022 09:43

@pangolin84 did you get your tests from the same place at the same time? You could get a test from a different shop and then check again in a couple of days in case it was a dodgy batch? It's still a definite positive which is promising 🤞☺️

bunnykins123 · 10/08/2022 09:44

@pangolin84 big hugs, I completely understand how confusing it is. I've been where you are and I know how soul destroying it feels. Let's focus on the positives: you are pregnant. That is a good line. However, I totally understand that line progression is a very real 'thing' and weak lines can sadly, have a negative outcome. It doesn't always though so don't give up. My advice to you would be to not test again. It may reassure you or it may make you go absolutely bonkers 🫠

@Margo34 I’m so fed up of being sad 😞

FfayeN · 10/08/2022 09:54

@LuckyMoonstone I really would recommend Thriva for some hormone and/or thyroid tests. Results back in a couple of days and it will put your mind either at rest, or give your doctors the push to get an appointment sooner if there is an issue. If it's that it's an easy fix and you could be settled much sooner. It's about £80 though so all depends on your means if you can afford it, for me it was worth the reassurance and ammo to present to the doctors to speed things up. xxx

mummatara · 10/08/2022 09:56

@pangolin84 I think it's the tests. So the first two I took on 8&9 were some I had left over. I ordered more from Amazon and got that very faint line on day 10 FMU thought I was out was obv a different batch no I ordered more from Amazon they all had the same batch number and have all given what I think is not a strong line at all so it could just be that. I def had stronger lines on frer in my last pregnancy so I think it's for sure the tests. Good plan keep an eye on your temp and try again I've got everything crossed 🤞🏼🤞🏼you could try a different brand if I hadn't ordered so many I would have done but I think the fact there is a very obvious line looks good testing every couple of days helped me see the progression however small it was better

Margo34 · 10/08/2022 10:01

I've got a GP appt on Friday because I'm so paranoid about MC again. I know it's still early days but I'd like to chat about any options and going to ask if they can check my blood progesterone levels. Did so much reading yesterday on breastfeeding and MC, there really isn't that much evidence-base, but I do wonder if BF has lowered my levels making pregnancies non-viable and whether they'll let me have a progesterone supplement. I figure if I'm going to MC because of abnormalities with the bean then it won't make a difference whether I take progesterone or not and I'll still MC, but if I keep MC because of progesterone levels being low and that can be avoided by a supplement then there's not much risk in trying that. I think I know what they'll say though. Am I being over the top do you think?

bunnykins123 · 10/08/2022 10:08

@Margo34 absolutely not - it's a very legitimate concern and I hope the GP addresses your concerns. I asked my GP about progesterone and they said that my LP suggests good progesterone levels. What's your usual LP? Oh god, I've been there trawling through all the medical journals on breastfeeding etc 😂 I'm still non the wiser!

FfayeN · 10/08/2022 10:24

@Margo34 agreed, get all you can and almost don't take no for an answer. I'm so sorry I haven't kept track of your MC, anymore than 3 they should give you it as a matter of course anyway. Push it and show them the research to back it up. Like you say there is no downside to having progesterone xx

Margo34 · 10/08/2022 10:33

During and after my last MCs my GP was so dismissive and care was appalling. I should have put in a complaint but I missed the window each time because I wasn't emotionally ready to do it then. So I'm going to have to be firm I think, it's just not my nature! I had blood tests in July and they have had some of the results back but apparently they've not all been commented on yet so they're going to talk me through those too. I've asked for a different GP this time too so hopefully that helps.

Indianna2006 · 10/08/2022 10:37

@Margo34 deffo go and ask for sure. Isn’t being ott at all. And everything you’ve said makes sense. If there’s is abnormalities nothing will stop you miscarrying. But it’s that unknown of not knowing why it’s happening. If your worried about progesterone go and ask.

usually progesterone mc would happen naturally and spontaneously. And not be mmc. Because the levels would drop on there own if that makes sense. A mmc where you body doesn’t let go ie like mine never lets go. Cos my progesterone is always pumping away trying to keep that baby even though it isn’t viable anyway.

@pangolin84 oh hun. I honestly actually don’t know. Like it’s deff a line for sure. But yeh it looks exactly the same almost. From like 10-14dpo so I think see why you're concerned…ugh got no answer for you. Wish I did. Other than try other brands maybe.

Astar21 · 10/08/2022 10:55

So 13DPO and I've started brown spotting, AF must be around the corner 😒 Just wish it'd hurry up now so CD1 can start properly. We're on holiday in 2 weeks so hoping for baby making then!

@mummatara amazing 😍 so happy for you!!

@LuckyMoonstone sorry to hear AF arrived, sending you hugs. It's such a rollercoaster. I think my hormones are still taking time to balance out too. I have good and bad days. We have to stay strong.

Fingers crossed for those of you in the TWW and waiting🤞🏼✨

Margo34 · 10/08/2022 11:08

@Indianna2006 that's a good point about spontaneous vs MMC, mine experiences have been spontaneous so definitely seems my body struggles to maintain a pregnancy which seems to tie in with progesterone as well. More food for thought. I'll add it to my list of discussion points with GP, thank you.

LuckyMoonstone · 10/08/2022 11:44

I’m feeling slightly better as the day goes on. I’ve ordered a thyroid test kit. I’ve got my gp appointment in 2 weeks so that’s good. Work is quiet so I’ve spent most of the morning making lists of stuff to do around the house which is helping to focus my mind, and it’s only a matter of time before I start a bit of online retail therapy to cheer me up. And I WILL NOT have a drink or stuff my face later no matter how sad I feel.

FfayeN · 10/08/2022 11:50

@Astar21 sorry to hear AF is back again this month 😔 when will she get the hint and do one! 😤
@Indianna2006 yes thanks for posting this about MMC it does make sense actually, though I've had both so not sure what the solution maybe. @Margo34 definitely do armed with some info and be an advocate for yourself, GPs can definitely be too dismissive if you don't go in confident with what you want. After all they are jack of all trades and sometimes aren't up with the latest research on all things, how can they be with how much they're meant to know!
@LuckyMoonstone good for you! At least it will hopefully give you a steer and in the meantime you're setting some productive goals which will keep you distracted.
If only we all had Bernard's Watch to speed up and slow down time to suit our needs 🤣🤣🤣

FfayeN · 10/08/2022 11:53

@pangolin84 @MrsCristiano hope your tests are both progressive the next time you test.
Sorry if I've missed anyone I am thinking of you all.
Spent a couple of days with my parents in Edinburgh and it was a little busy 🤯😂 x

theblueflowers · 10/08/2022 14:20

Thinking of all who are waiting for line progressions. Time actually seems to go backwards, I don't know how anyone manages to distract themselves!

Sorry for the BFNs 😞

@LuckyMoonstone I'm so sorry that AF has shown up so early for you- such a shitty time when you just can't rely on your body to do what it should be doing. I hope you're doing okay. Really positive that you have a game plan, even if it's just crossing things off that it might be. Hoping that your doctors appointment will also be a step closer.

@Margo34 I totally understand how you feel- I am exactly like this and always leave appointments kicking myself for not advocating for myself harder. My last appointment I wrote out a list of what I was looking for/past history and kept referring to this throughout the appointment. It went so much better, and I think I actually made the doctor's life easier.

Thanks for asking @Indianna2006, I'm doing okay! Had one down day during my period, which I also think was combined with post-holiday blues. I'm CD9 so nothing to report. I'll probably start OKPs CD11 in the tiny hope that I might ovulate at a normal time in my cycle, but not getting my hopes up, so probably nothing exciting for a little while. I've booked an appointment with an acupuncturist next Friday which I've never done before so that's something! DH is excited to resume our every-other-day DTD schedule 😂

Hope you are okay- almost half way through the TWW!
