Clomid TTC

Hi all,

I wondered if anyone who is currently TTC with Clomid fancied joining a TTC thread? I've had a look and can't see a recent one.

My husband and I have been trying for approx 2 years. I have PCOS and also had a congenital uterine defect (complete septum) which was operated on and fixed in November 2021.

We paid for a private appointment with a gynaecologist yesterday who prescribed 6 months of Clomid. I'm starting off cycle 1 with 50mg and will have a transvaginal ultrasound around CD 10-14.

My period is due in about 3 weeks but ofc with PCOS this is approximate and it might be early/late. My consultant also prescribed norithesterone to bring on a period if it's delayed. I'm tempted to start it soon so I can get cracking with Clomid - patience isn't my strong point!

Would be great to hear from anyone else in a similar position and hopefully share our BFPs in the coming months. TTC can be a lonely time and I've decided to not tell my family/friends about Clomid as it upsets me too much when I have to tell them I'm still not pregnant.

It was pretty horrible but it was only when the dye went in (felt like my insides were going to explode) but I think it varies with women. Had really intense cramps afterwards but feel like a new woman today and I suppose will be worth it if it identifies any issues!! Hope you’re all good @SusieNI @lucymc11 you’ll be in your TWW now?

Yes 5/6 days into tww🙈🙈 going totally mad googling phantom possible symptoms

Yes I'm 4dpo today but not very hopeful as my husband got a bad back during the fertile window so we only DTD twice - once the day before trigger shot and once the day after. I know it's not his fault he got a bad back but I really had to disguise my annoyance and try to be sympathetic. 🤣

Ahh @lucymc11 I'm 3dpo, just behind you. Are you going to test early?

I'm 6/7 today...whens the earliest a test would show? 🙈 I also had a lovely little fall down the stairs today :( am ok my back got the brunt of it! But am still freaking out incase I've hurt anything that be in there :(

Ah good luck @Harper02! I'm going to try everything not to test until I miss my period but usually I crack and test around 12dpo.

Oh no @SusieNI that sounds nasty. Hope you're not too sore. I think when you get a line depends on when implantation occurs. I've seen people get positives at 8dpo and others not until 15/16.

I'm 11 dpo, cramps the last 3 days which is unusual for me but BFN this morning so I guess I am probably out this month :(

Hey @SusieNI, you’re absolutely not out until AF arrives. Keeping everything crossed for you. We have taken a month off clomid and just monitoring to see if I ovulate on my own since you can be quite hear after pregnancy so we’ll see what happens 🤞

@TTCX2 I've heard that also and I think its right . I recall a few years ago my friend had a mc and the following month she got pregnant again

Line looks darker or am I reading it backwards or something 🤔 I really don't have a clue when it comes to this kinda thing.
Thankfully I was at home and felt a huge flush of wetness , I thought I pissed myself 😆 it was all stretchy fluid which I don't think I've ever seen before. Anyway randomly decided to go test as I gave up doing so many months ago . I've never seen a line this dark before . I downloaded premom to upload it and its saying 'high'
Just wondering what you think about this test. I've never had a positive ovulation stick before so quite baffled by them and what to expect

i have been doing ovulation sticks this month and no Positive yet so no idea what’s going on in there but I’m hoping it just means I haven’t detected it and I’ve still maybe ovulated 🤷🏻‍♀️

@TTCX2 im on cycle day 21. I'm convinced that I ovulated last month aswell but didn't test. I've never seen a line this dark in all the years I was testing. I've had 2 past regular cycles in a row now which is also a first for me so i'm hoping that's a good sign

When you get a dark line like that , are you currently ovulating or does that surge mean your just about to ovulate in the next day or so

@MK85 means you're about to ovulate (12-36 hours later)

Ive started spotting now so fairly sure thats my period kicking off, looks like time for next round

Hi girls, how you all getting on ?

Where are you at in your cycles?

If AF arrives in the late evening , would you skip counting that as a day and start the following day as day 1 ?
Also do you count the days only of full flow (needing tampon or pad)
I'm planning on starting clomid day 2.
Af arrived an hour ago , but its quite scanty currently anyway, not full flow so I'm not certain what day to start clomid tablet

of thumb is count the first day of bleeding the day you wake up bleeding with a full flow 😊

cycle 3 and it’s been a disaster ☹️ currently
on Provera but literally feel like my insides are swollen and tender!!
