Hi everyone 👋
I've had two miscarriages, one in November 2021, and one in January 2022. Me and my partner have been trying for over a year. We have tried really hard this month to catch ovulation by using OPK's. I'm currently in the dreaded 2WW.

Anyone else out there in the same position? Would love some company in this tricky time! X

@Lolly16 yeah 8dpo is definitely very early, fingers crossed for tomorrow!!🤞 i bought some digital tests earlier so I'm really fighting the urge not to do one. I have some of the cheap strip ones coming today so I might do one of those instead.

helloimlaura · 01/07/2022 14:07

@Wouldloveanother I can definitely see a line there! Might be worth doing a digital one? I find the line ones so so stressful

Hi 👋 currently 5dpo, first month of ttc our 4th and final baby. Trying to leave testing for as long as possible. Excited yet Terrified for the whole experience 🤣

Just did another after a long hold (4.5 hours!), totally negative, so an evap I’m guessing! 😭

BabyBx · 01/07/2022 17:19

I've convinced myself I'm out this month too. I'm bloated, tired & feel 4 months preggo but that's normal for my pre-period symptoms so I don't think this month is my month 😔 only 7dpo. 8 days till period is due 😔❤

SylvieArth · 01/07/2022 18:09

Sometimes I'm willing a second line to be there so much that I can see one out of desperation when actually it's stark white. Obviously when I clear my head and look again its negative but do you believe that you want it so bad, you see a second line on your stark white tests??? Or am I just going loopy 💔 I cannot get over how tough the journey is and how heartbreaking it can be?.. but a comfort knowing that only a small minority of pregnancies are actually easy. Xx

for what it’s worth I’m the same Sylvia - I spend embarrassingly long looking at the test, in different lights, hoping to see something. Was so excited last night when I saw a second line and gutted this morning to get a stark white negative. Im going to try really hard not to do this to myself next cycle - I’m going to wait to miss my period, then do a digital because line analysing is so stressful! Which cycle are you on?

SylvieArth · 01/07/2022 19:24

@Wouldloveanother 12 cycles in total waiting for a successful pregnancy but within that time, one early miscarriage and one chemical pregnancy. 6 months since my chemical. 8 months since miscarriage. My due date for the miscarriage would have been in a couple of weeks time 💔
I'm sorry you've been messed about with your test. That's really difficult xx

Wouldloveanother · 01/07/2022 20:11

Oh Sylvie that’s gutting 😔 have you had any tests or just letting nature take it’s course?

BabyBx · 02/07/2022 10:18

So sorry @SylvieArth I know its tough. Its so tough seeing everyone else's BFP whilst being happy for them it's hard when all you get is Bfns. I hope your okay lovely. Xxx when are you due on? ❤

I'm 8dpo today, no symptoms at all.. fairly dry CM so I'm out this month I think. I can't bring myself to test because of the disappointment.😔 xxx

Angie2018 · 02/07/2022 10:21

Morning lovely ladies. I hope you are ok and really sorry for the BFNs. I haven't tested as I know it's a BFN due to my normal cervical cramps I get before AF. I'm really struggling this time round. Cycle 5 was a chemical and this time nothing. I guess onto cycle 7 for me. It's true though it's not easy trying to get pregnant as as specially as you get older it just Carrie's more risk of losses. It's horrible and heartbreaking and pushes you into sadness. Thinking if you xx

helloimlaura · 02/07/2022 12:45

Morning everyone, BFN for me this morning 😢 must of just been an avap line on the other one. Feeling very depressed today, CD46 and still nothing, just want my period to come now.

Hope everyone is doing okay, sending love to everyone who's also got negatives 💕 xx

Wouldloveanother · 02/07/2022 13:29

I’m still testing negative, so pretty sure I’m out. Once my period starts I’m going to buy a fertilily cup I think, I’ve been reading about them and it seems worth a go 🤷🏼‍♀️

Cally1980 · 02/07/2022 14:39

Updating here!
5dpo and no symptoms whatsoever. Not even bloating/painful breasts that I get every month around this time.
partner has 1% good sperm and I’m 41 so chances are very slim. Not holding much hope and feel much less stressed this cycle as I’m not expecting a positive anymore. Sigh!

BabyBx · 02/07/2022 20:15

Are any of you ladies experiencing purpleish nipples? I'm around 8dpo today xx

helloimlaura · 03/07/2022 12:32

@BabyBx no I've never experienced anything like that! Have you got any other symptoms?

@Wouldloveanother I use the ferti lily one! Can't say if it's worth it just yet but it definitely feels like it should be helping it all stay up there!

I tested again this morning, negative. Although I'm now on day 3 of flashing smilies, has anyone else has this before their period is due?

SylvieArth · 03/07/2022 13:51

Hey guys 12DPO... zero symptoms what so ever! Due on in 3 days.. think it's safe to say I'm most likely out! Xx

Cally1980 · 03/07/2022 15:18

I use a fertilily every time, I think mostly it gives me peace of mind that I’m keeping everything in. Though this month when we bd every day and sometimes twice I was quite sore from all the action and the extra faff with getting this in. I’d leave it in a few hours and then it was dead hard to get out and had a kind of plunger effect, I’m not sure if it’s just sucking everything back out again later but hopefully by then all the good swimmers are deep inside anyway.

Cally1980 · 03/07/2022 15:19

Updating today, still no sore breasts, wonder if I’m getting low progesterone because of my age. I’m considering paying for an AMH test to check if I’m in peri menopause or nearing it.

BabyBx · 03/07/2022 16:52

@helloimlaura I've heard flashing smileys can sometimes indicate pregnancy especially nearing the end of a cycle when your period would be due so you never know! 🤞

Afternoon ladies, hope your all okay xxx
@SylvieArth I've heard many woman with no symptoms go onto getting a bfp! When are you testing again or are you waiting till AF day? 🤞
@Cally1980 it could be worth talking to the doctor just incase, how many DPO are you? 🥰

I'm around 9dpo today, my nipples are much darker than any other cycle and I'm VERY bloated. But that can be a usual symptom for me in the lead upto AF, I'm trying not to think about it and hold off testing but it's so hard isn't it?
Xx

helloimlaura · 03/07/2022 17:45

@BabyBx I've just taken a FRER and it's negative so I think it's unlikely now. I just did another OPK and it's a static smiley and the cheap one matches up with a very dark line 🙃 really not sure what is going on down there now, looks like I've just skipped my period.

When do you think you'll take a test? X

Cally1980 · 03/07/2022 20:15

I’m 6 or 7 dpo, hard to tell due to possibly having 2 spikes. I’m probably going to test every day because I’m at an age when I am expecting chemicals if by some miracle one of the slow sperm made it to an egg and there is even an egg! Lol. Did cheapie today just for fun BFN obviously.

SylvieArth · 03/07/2022 21:52

@BabyBx will wait until AF now... I can't bare seeing all the negative tests haha. I can feel AF symptoms this evening so think it's on the way xx

Hi everyone. I'm new here, hope it's ok to join.
I'm 29 with a 4 year old, she was unexpected so didn't enter the realm of actively TTC. However trying for number 2 now so trying to understand how it all works and how I can help myself.

I have a few questions:

  1. (I think) I'm 11dpo and BFN today and no symptoms. Does that mean I'm likely out this month? Or still hope?
  2. Is the consensus that ovulation tests are particularly helpful? Can anyone recommend a brand?
  3. I don't want to be measuring my temp every day (long story I'd rather not get into) so can I replace this with the ovulation strips?

Feels good to go through this with other people. We're on month 3 and (probably because I'm very impatient) it's already more emotionally draining and consuming than I expected, Flowers to those of you who have been going through this for so long.

SylvieArth · 04/07/2022 08:46

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to let you know AF arrived early for me at 12DPO last night. 💔 gutted. OPK showed my first peak this month and so we DTD perfectly on time, 4 times around the peak. Felt like we had really got it right this time but not meant to be! Will be back on here when or if we have another peak result and update from there. Sending love to you all! And welcome @newhere12 ... 11dpo is still really early and some women don't have symptoms until after AF due so don't worry about that too much. Ovulation tests are really helpful and help you time conception. I use easi at home strips. Cheaper than other brands and very effective. I buy mine from amazon. Yes replace temping with strips. Xx
