TAKING CLOMID FOR THE FIRST TIME AND REALLY EXCITED AND SCARED!!!!

HELLO EVERYONE !!!!
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONCIEVE FOR NEARLY A YEAR AND WITH NO LUCK AND AN UNDERACTIVE THYROID THE DOCTOR HAS PRESCRIBED ME WITH CLOMID!!!
I TOOK MY PERIOD ON 23RD DEC AND TOOK IT DAY 1 _ 5 I AM DUE TO GET MY BLOODS TAKEN ON 11TH THEN 23RD IS BIG TEST DAY!!!
I HAVE READ SO MANY SUCCESS STORIES BUT I CANT HELP FEELING NEGITIVE AS I DONT WANT TO GET LET DOWN !!!

HAS ANYONE GOT ANY SUPPORT OR ADVICE OR FEELING THE SAME??

No, have had so much messing about with me, and the rest of my body, in the past year getting rid of the uterine adhesions that I am glad to not have to have anything more. I am hoping that I can just take the tablets, forget about it all, and maybe it might just happe - we will see.

well i wish you luck. We are trying to do the same really, just take the tabs see what happens ( making sure the special 10 days are covered every other day )
Its so hard not to think about it though.

Yes, I have a 6y DD, whom is fab Thanks; we think she is rather pretty too (but I am allowed to be biased as her mum!)

Been TTc for #2 for 4 years. Was diagnosed with Asherman's Syndrome (adhesions on uterus) a couple of years ago and last year had that treated, and adhesions removed. The hormone treatment following the two surgeries were awful, horrendous - 17 weeks of work too! But all sorted now. Should be no problems, but it just isn't happening for us. So here goes.....

its just so frustrating when your body is not doing as it should. Im glad all the horrid work is done and maybe you can relax a bit whilst on these tabs as they are not too bad considering some of the other treatments you have gone through.
Im 31 and got married last year and have been actively ttc #1 ever since. even though we have been together for years and not exactly been careful before getting married nothing has happened as yet. I did have a m/c at 13 wks 10 years ago but am hopeful these tabs will give me a kick start. My dh has got a slightly low count too so that doesnt help.

i am good enjoying the wheather. Work is fine taking it easy not gettting caught up in the office crap.

I finished round 3 of clomid last week the week before can't remember now, just hot flushes :O
I am keeping busy and focus and not worrying to much on what is going on down there!!! had a sex marthon at the weekend so hopefully every little help

i fell pregnant on my first cycle of clomid which was brill!!

i already have ds but was trying for months for second with no luck after having ds i got an underactive thyroid and this stopped me ovulating .

it was very hard for me to deal with as ihad ds with no problems i just could not understand it .

i took 50mg clomid day 1-5 of my cycle
my cycle was 30 - 40 days long

i got my bloods done on day 21 but they came back i did not ovulate i was gutted so starting thinking about the next month.

i was waiting on my period to come so i could take my next month of clopmid but it never came i was so frustrated as i just wanted my period to come as i knew there was no wa i could have been pregnant!

i made an appointment for the monday morning with the doc to see if they would give me something to bring on my period .
so the saturday before myself and dh went to boots bought ovulation kits and i bought a pregnancy test as i knew the doc would made me do one when i went so when i got home i done the test and it came up + then i did 2 more digital ones and they came up pregnant !!!!

i was so in shock the doc thinks that i was a late ovulater and thats why the blood test didnt show up anything .

Had 2 day 21 blood tests done last month and this month.

Was really happy that last months indicated ovulation - 33.8....but this month alas.....

Only 8.2....rubbish!

I might reconsider trying clomid....obviously my ovulation is random and infrequent.

DH now agrees we should try. After all I only have 3 cycles worth and my appointment at the PCOS clinic is at the end of this month, so I don't think it would hurt to try it just for 3 months.....I think we will give it a go as now I have established that there is a small issue with my ovulation.

Before, it was in my head that maybe ovulation was ok and that the thing that was messing stuff up was my FSH/LH levels....but now I am convinced the eggies need a bit of help!

So nice to see you back! I am so happy to hear that you are well and gawd...week 31 already...where does the time go eh! There will be a little sambrads among us soon! Exciting!

Interesting Sambrads...my cycles are similar in length to what yours were...Mine are usually between 30 -35 days. So I am pretty regular but then now I know I have PCOS...well there could be all sorts of reasons why 20 months down the line and still no successful pregnancy...only got 1 MC to my name and even that was after 14 months!

I am thinking again of taking 50mg of clomid when my period comes because my DH and I are just so tired of this whole thing now....we have even started to talk about whether it will ever happen and how we could downsize to a smaller place with our DS if I were destined to only ever have one child....it is quite depressing....

ANyway, enough about all that...cam75 and lauralou...hope you both are coping ok with the flushes!

I am on day 27 of my cycle now so I reckon that by or before friday next week probably as I have to take it day 2-6 right!

I will just do 50mg as well.

Its defo a weird thing that each month i have had different symptoms, 2nd month definately better so hopefully the 1st month was a nightmare fluke..

Im amazed to im just hoping the tabs are doing what it says on the tin!!
I got low ab pains both months around that time so its good i spose so you can tell when you should be getting jiggy. I tried to make sure I was jiggy every other day from 12-20 but doesnt always work out that way lol. Im every 27-29 days so hopefully 14-17 are the magic days

Irritated....got my letter through for my appointment at the Endo/PCOS clinic and i will need to have a few blood tests on the day...

Therefore, I am going to have to delay the clomid another month and I don't want to screw up the blood test resuls...
GRRRRRRR...

Never mind....I have been patient this long another 2 months will not kill me.
