Lauralou1 - well tonight is the last night on the Clomid and so far so good. Been feeling hot at night not long after i take it but not sure if it's the clomid or the strange weather we are having.

DungunGirl, really hope your ok.
xx

lauralou1 · 24/07/2008 20:26

hi sars87

what time have you been taking it i was taking mine in the morning but nurse told me to try itlate evening

sars87 · 25/07/2008 19:42

LauraLou1 - I have been taking it mine just as i climb into bed at night. That way I normally fall asleep pretty quick and wake up finally fine.

Hope everyone else is fine?
xx

Cam 75,
In response to your question on the day 21 blood test.... I believe 60 is a great score, I was told by the hospital that anything above 30 and you have ovulated. X

DungunGirl · 25/07/2008 21:21

everyone

Thanks for the support and concern.

Moonlit - I know you are concerned and thank you sweetheart. It is so sweet to have someone who is genuinely concerned. Wish my PCT was more concernced about my well being!

I think that even though I do intend to hit the clomid at some point soon that it all depends on Monday whether I go ahead this month or not.

The consultant at the PCOS clinic has been in touch with me and she advised me which GP I should see at my surgery who she thinks will refer me. She says that he has referred many women to her. SO I have an appointment with him on Monday.

I will then go onto clomid myself if that fails too.

I also have been told that the fertility unit has said that I am to be refereed to them again if by sEPTEMber I am still not pregnant, so if the clomid hasn't worked by then, I will go back to the fertility unit.

I may well change my mind again if something else develops...but we will see. That is my plan for now.

cam75 · 28/07/2008 10:56

it's so quite on here!!!

Dungungirl how are you? lauralou?
everyone how are you?

Pinkali37 · 28/07/2008 11:22

Cam - 60 is great. I got pregnant on 67.

Dungungirl - I really do admire you!

Moonlit - Offended NO. However, if you looked into the care offered to ANYONE not just PCOS sufferers whilst on clomid it veries according to region NOT what is wrong with the individual. Hyperstimulation CAN happen to anyone. And as with any drug you need to be aware of the side effects and the serious things to take note of and get to the hospital asap. HS is very very rare BUT anyone using clomid and such drugs needs to be aware of what to look out for. As for your comments regarding if Dungungirl (sorry Dun' for talking about you by the way) and if she took the drug after what we said and she developed hyperstimulation "we would be partly to blame", NO... i refute this argument. Dungungirl would take the clomid knowing the risks and therefore no liability whatsoever could be passed onto US. I have to say, Clomid is so easy for some people to get hold of yet others such as D' have such difficulty, it is very often not down to medical reasons either it is merely down to who and in what area you are being treated, this is where the great argument is, it is not fair! Clomid is a wonderful drug if it works and a pain in the posterior for those who take it for 6 months and it doesn't! Don't allow procrastination by medical professionals make you believe it is more powerful than it is and a wonder drug.

A friend of mine with PCOS was prescibed clomid by her doctor without secondary advice and was just told to get on with it. The choice is down to the individual. To purchase from the internet and an unknown source would be a bad decision, alas dungungirl got hers from a reliable source.. the choice is hers!

Pinkali37 · 28/07/2008 11:23

and that was supposed to say "VARIES" not VERIES... derrr...

sambrads,
wow when are you due? what cycle did you fall pg?

clairebear88 · 30/07/2008 11:51

Hi

Dont get on here alot but im still hanging in there. Finished cycle 2 and am waiting for AF 7/8/08 so fingers crossed.
Its so good to come on here as I have been left to my own devices after being handed 6 months worth of 50g Clomid. I think im going to try temping next month but dont want it to become like a military operation.
I am still coming to terms that I have ovulation problems as I have always been regular with no apparent problems that I stupidly thought I was normal. I spend 15 yrs trying to prevent pregnancy then I find out at 31yrs old and I feel time is running out ( i think im very emotional today sorry )
Anyways Im sure ill snap out of it as always and become more positive for the next 4 months.
Good luck to all and sorry for the rant
x

Hulababy · 30/07/2008 12:16

Hi all

I have just finished my first lot of Clomid a couple of days ago. No problems so far with the fortunately.

I guess it is now wait and see if they help.

I have 6 months of 50mg, and also been left to it. Next consultant appointment isn't until January.

Not feeling particularly optimistic about it all, but we shall see.

clairebear88 · 30/07/2008 12:23

HI HULABABY

Do you feel worried about not being monitored during the 6 months? I started worrying about hyper sensitivity even though I wasnt getting any symptoms.
Im glad you have no side effects as the hot flushs are a nightmare ( i now know how my mum feels with the menapause...
