I've found the lady you refer to on ebay, Lottie and what's more, I've bought a 'sell your house' spell from here! Time wil tell whether I can vouch for her magical prowess......

Hi girls,

Just a query (gonna ask PCOS girls too)....

Right, no temp shift (but only started temping a week or so ago), but just went exploring blush(TMI ALERT!) cervix high, soft and open (I think) and lots of EWCM but it's not clear like egg white it's white with the odd see through streak. Any one think it's possible to still ov on CD58????? I've had this before during this cycle. I don't know if it's the PCOS winding me up or not I can't do an OPK cos I've just been to loo so too late. Any one any clue?

FurtivelyPosting · 19/02/2008 15:52

I know what you mean, Lottie - she does come across as a well-meaning, genuine sort. As for 'furtively posting', I changed my username a while back when AF was late and I posted to ask for advice on HPTs etc. At that stage we hadn't properly decided whether to ttc, so my posts were fairly 'furtive'. I never got round to changing my username back again but as I tend to post when I'm meant to be working, I'm still somewhat furtive!

fettleandbabyfettle · 19/02/2008 21:48

Just popping in with some hugs for Ready and everyone else who needs them!
{waves at Ready, Rah, Minxi & Lottie} hope everyone else doesn't mind me popping in!

Just quickly though - Fruitloop, I've got PCOS and I frequently ovulated on CD38+. Once on around CD56 I think, but unfortunately I mc that one at around 6 weeks, only to miraculously ovulated 14 days later and conceive again (from 5-6 periods a year, to 2 ovulations in a month, was a bit of a shock!). Don't give up on your long cycles. I have heard that OPKs are not accurate for PCOS women, but if you're showing a definite temp rise every cycle, then you should be ovulating - obviously only medical tests can really tell you that for certain.

Good Luck!!
xxx

Not good for me today. CD20 and no sign of a temperature rise. Usually ov CD16-19.

fruitloop79 · 19/02/2008 22:48

ah, fettleandbabyfettle Thank you so much for your hopeful post . It's just so confusing because the sonographer thought it looked like I'd ov'd this cycle but my appointment was 16 days ago now and still no sign of AF. An OPK also showed I'd ov'd on CD36 (the only +ve in two weeks of testing) but that was 21 days ago. I haven't been really following my cycle much until this one and have only been temping for just over a week now so I don't know if I get the rise. My chart makes no sense whatsoever so far. I just don't know whether to be hopeful or not for ovulation still to come. Why cant it just be straight forward??

fruitloop79 · 20/02/2008 09:09

Now I'm really confused......(TMI,TMI,TMI!!) just been to the loo and discovered a couple of streaks of blood in knickers. Wiped, but nothing. If this is the start of AF then isnt my temp supposed to drop? Mine's just gone up again. What's going on?

Morning all. Hope I've updated the stats correctly. Please check and amend where necessary!

Fruitloop - I really don't know how to advise. All I can say is that I have had AF start when my temps have been up before - my temp won't drop until CD1 (full flow) usually but there has been the odd occasion where my temp hasn't dropped until CD2. If it's just some spotting that you're getting, maybe your temp won't drop until you get a fuller flow? I can't really think of anything else to say but stick around as some of the other ladies (especially ones with experience of PCOS) may be along later with some more advice.

fruitloop all I can say is keep charting and it may give you some answers... It is really hard on the first few as you are interpreting blind..... I now know (this is my 5th chart) what my temp shift looks like when I OV, what it looks like when AF (mine drops and I get full flow AF same day, no spotting first - TMI) etc but every one is different and until you know what yours looks like.

fym · 20/02/2008 09:32

my best 'find' by far on charting is that it is my hormones that cause my migranes! I always get a cracker of a headache when I OV - and I'd never worked it out until I charted.

Well, my temp is up and down like a dog's back leg these days!

Lottie I'm so sorry you're feeling down at the moment. Fingers & everything else crossed that you hit the jackpot soon! Maybe you can 'recycle' the fertility spell you bought? I'm sure we're talking about the same lady - I believe her name is Mia. I'm going to buy one but I think I'll ride out this cycle first and wait until CD1. I'm with you on cold+sunny days ... beautiful!!!

Hanaflower How did things go with your boss when you said a drop in hours was on the horizon? I'm with you on the career change - I'm looking for work after our big relo from the US (usually do HR/Training) but all I really, really want to do is start my own jewellery business. I'm envious of people that have the nerve to start ... that must be a big part of what it takes. I keep telling myself it's too much of a gamble at the moment as we're living off just the one salary and have depleted a good part of our savings getting set back up again after the move. Even so, I get so excited thinking about it ... What kind of career change do you have in mind?

FP Very cool re the spell to sell your house! I wonder what it will look like when you receive it? You'll have to keep us posted on progress

Orchidgirl there's still time for you! Fingers crossed for today

Fruity I'm so sorry your chart is so challenging right now . I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out soon.

FYM it's great you were able to work out the source of your headaches through charting! They really should teach some of this stuff at school ... Can't believe how much I didn't know about how my own body worked before reading up on all this!

Have any of you used Pre-seed before? Any comments on it? I'm already planning my attack for next cycle - am thinking of starting EPO & using Pre-seed during BD ...

Lottie thank you for the warning re Pre-seed! So glad you gave me advance notice ... sounds like it could be pretty funny too . Chances are I could end up peeing myself laughing, which will turn poor DH off in a heartbeat! Think I'll still give it a try - have been surfing www.twoweekwait.com ... and there seem to be plenty of success stories with it, of course the women there could have just been lucky but you never know. I'm like you - only a little EWCM over a day or so.

I was using the digital OPKs for a while - 1st set broke and got a free second set. Now I order from eBay ... fraction of the price and they work great.

Enjoy your window shopping! My big bro has a Saab convert. & LOVES it .. needless to say I'm
