Hi there....
I don't seem to have ov either yet this months - it's all v.strange - maybe this has happened for a while and I've just not known or maybe I already have ov and didn't know it !!

We're lucky if without bding "trying" we manage once a month let alone once a week so all these people who say "have lots of sex" and enjoy it ! have no idea what my life is usually like. We were at it all the time 10 years ago but these days we both like nothing more than a cuddle on the sofa, early to bed with a good book. Boring but true. Neither of us are that bothered. We need to find a way to make it more interesting me thinks !

fym · 29/02/2008 14:51

looking at the book I think not... she seems absolutely serious that it needs 15 goes a month to give the best chance....

Oh herbgarden you have made me feel much better.
DH and I are not alone.

My friend and sister were so shocked when I said if we stopped trying, once or twice a month just wouldn't cut it.
I have another friend who looked at me all shocked when I said it to her a while ago. Why are all these people shocked and why am I finding myself revealing mine and DH's sex lives to so many people??

fym · 29/02/2008 21:36

Alternaively those of you more interested in lady gardening may be interested in VITA BOOK

herbgarden · 29/02/2008 21:47

TF....I have had friends who've looked shocked at me when I've said that to them too - particularly one friend who told me her sex life was a bit like a desert as they weren't doing it twice a week and she was worried about the state of her relationship - she looked horrified at me when I told her once a month was a good month - once every two more likely. I am almost envious of those people who have met and decided to have kids within 2 years, say, since I think you are still slightly in that honeymoon phase so it's not all so much effort. DH and I laugh about it and do often say (when not trying) - do you think we "should" and then when we do "oooh we're quite good at this really aren't we " !!!!!!!!!! I can't tell you how relieved I was when I fell pregnant so quickly last time - not half as relieved as dh !!!!!!!!! Unlike a lot of men he just doesn't have a massive sex drive....I live with it ! Gosh he'd be horrified if he knew I was sharing this with cyber temping buddies ! Enough info - I'm back to revealing temps and cyles only !

twinklingfairy · 29/02/2008 23:38

LOL! We say that too!!
But DH def has more interest when he thinks there may be results. What will happen to us when we finally get our BFP. We will never have sex again!!

Morning all. I hope I have done today's chart right.

I have just been catching up on the past couple of days postings, and have to agree with you. Zita West obviously lives in a world that the rest of us dont. There is no way DH and I could get near to 15 times per month. Even if we wanted to (gosh, that sounds a bit bad ) I don't think DH would be up to it. Maybe if we were 15 years younger...

Emmsy1 · 01/03/2008 06:59

just had to pop my head in... 15 TIMES A MONTH, I would prefer to adopt!!! Thank god I only did it twice last month and got my BFP DH would have probably keeled over with a heart attack, and I would be in therapy with the stress of too much sh**g and not enough sleep! good luck girls, hope you can still walk if you follow that books advice x

i know this has nothing to do with me and sorry for butting in.....................but i was just checking up on READY cos i know she was taking a break for a while...................and her chart looks VERY exciting!!!

i think her AF might not have been what it seemed cos her temp stayed high. i really hope you are ok ready i reckon you are either pg and keeping it quiet cos you have had bleeding and are worried or maybe i am completely wrong!!! hope you are ok anyway.

vitamin update

DH was moaning about popping 5 pills a day UNTIL..... (well lets just say we're well on our way to 15 this month!!!) we haven't been this active since we were 19!!! - in fact i'm not sure we were this active even when we were 19.

the formula is

Boots Multivitamins for men
Boots 1000mg Omega 3
Boots 500mg Vitamin C (2 tabs)
Boots Korean Ginseng

put together using the very unscientific formula of looking at the various mens vitamins out there (pronatal for men and the lady gardeners offering) and copying.

Good Morning All!

Fruitloop ... don't think 30 mins will make too much of a difference, so I would go with the temp you recorded. There is a temp corrector option under the data tab on the left hand side of FF that you could check out of curiosity.

FYM ... thank you for the vit update!! I'd put DH on extra zinc, multivit, plus omega 3 ... but hadn't thought of vit C or ginseng!! Apart from 15 times per month, does dear old Zita/Vita express an opinion on whether BD should be spaced out? (every other day for a month, or 5 times per day for 3 most fertile days, or 3 times per day for 5 most fertile days). If you don't mind being our researcher, I'd love to know what she thinks re timing. Thank you for sharing all this info, FYM!!!

fym - DH takes a multivit, vit C, omega 3 and zinc. The first couple of months he found very hard as all he could think about was sex. Although he is still taking the pills, things seem to have stabilised and he can get on with the day without distraction. I recently suggested adding magnesium to the mix, but he didn't seem to keen in case it upset the equilibrium he is currently enjoying.

Enjoy it whilst it lasts .

He seemed to get the boost when I started him on the vitc and ginseng.... ALthough he started both on the same day so it's hard to see which was the cause. Although it does say on the ginseng that it is an aphrodisiac!

sorkycake · 02/03/2008 19:33

Thanks for thermomete link mine has arrived and I can't wait to start charting again, how sad is that?

I took your advice Hanaflower and photocopied the master copy chart out of the back of TCOYF before I gave the book to my friend who's also trying.

This will be be our TTC4th having finally persuaded Dh to go for it.

I'm cd 26 of a usual 32 and still have EWCM but it's lessening my question is how do you calculate peak day if you still have stretchy cm? Toni says to mark it as the day you're not longer wet, but that could be days away and the persona says green. I'm confused.

greedygreedyguzzler · 02/03/2008 20:15

sorry ready if you are around. i noticed you added more details to your chart and i was getting carried away for nothing. it was cos you had 15 high temps in a row and then disappeared i got excited. sorry again. i will keep quiet in future.
