Morning ladies. Bit of a rubbish temperature for me this morning. Looks like all the nausea and heartburn of the past few days has tailed off now too. Beginning to think that I'll be back to square one again in a week's time.

Hi FP ... maybe it's an implantation dip?

My temps are just above the coverline and no more ... had been hoping to see something higher.

Hope everyone has a good Monday!!

FurtivelyPosting · 18/02/2008 10:19

Don't worry, Clair - you've got time yet. Will keep my fingers crossed for you. Not so sure about the old 'implantation dip' - I've started to get backache and some dull cramps. Could possibly mean that AF is on the way and early to boot. So not only will I back to square one again but my LP length will be banjaxed too!

Don't you just love the 2WW?!

FurtivelyPosting · 18/02/2008 10:21

Fruity - I keep meaning to say but keep forgetting. I'm not sure about long luteal phases. Presumably you've tested and got negative results? I read in TCOYF that 18 temps above the coverline after ovulation indicates pregnancy but if you're not pregnant, it could hormonal. I really don't know, I'm afraid. I'll dig out my copy of TCOYF again and see if I can find any info in there for you. It must be really hard and frustrating for you. [cyberhug]

No need to dig out my copy then, it seems! Sorry the situation is still no clearer for you Fruity - I hope that you can get some help and advice from your GP on this. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for you - it would drive me mad, I know that for sure.

fym · 18/02/2008 11:33

fruity think I read somewhere you can get + opk's for up to two weeks....and have to go with the darkest one???

another suggestion, are you sure you've actually OV? where have you set your coverline? I know I confuse things by being in degrees F, but when I convert back 36.27 is a normal pre Ov temp for me and 36.72 for post OV.

I know everybody is different but if you have something hormonal going on it could be causing false +ves on the OPKs

I'd go see a doctor!!!

RahRah1 · 18/02/2008 12:10

Afternoon ladies... Fruity, do you have PCOS? If so OPK are not accurate due to hormone imbalance.

Hope everyone else is OK..

ClairLesley · 18/02/2008 13:01

Hi Rah! How are you?

FP - thank you for the positive words! Surely it's very early for you to be feeling AF pains ... so there's still hope yet . How long is your cycle normally if you don't mind me asking?

RahRah1 · 18/02/2008 13:55

I'm ok thanks ClairLesley, however over the last hour today I can feel my PMT rearing its ugly head. I was fine earlier, but someone in the office is irritating the buggery out of me and I just slammed the door and threw my pen when I went to make a cuppa.... GRRRRRRR
... don't you just love a bit of PMT! ... I think I would swap it in with some pregnancy hormones any day! least I would have a better excuse for bad behaviour!

fruitloop79 · 18/02/2008 14:09

Hi everyone, thanks for advise I have got PCOS - just been diagnosed, just wanted to try temping and OPKs to see what happened. I've never got a +ve opk before so I just assumed it was right and I'd been OPKing everyday for about two weeks. We've been BDing every other day my whole cycle so far (knackered) so surely if I Ov'ed I would've caught the egg? So I obviously didnt ov cos I've done so many HPTs lately . Maybe it's possible to still ov past CD57?? (clutching at straws!) I'm very hopeful!
I'm gonna take my chart with me to my 1st gynae app on 5th March, see if she can make any sense of it.

I think I'm a bit late to wish LadyLush well - but if you're lurking I hope you get through whatever problems you have encountered with DH.

Ready - I'm being laid back and expecting nothing this month - otherwise I just might be getting excited for you

Fruity - I don't think you can ever read very much into your first chart, you need to see what your own patterns are. I can imagine that long cycles make that pretty tedious though.

FurtivelyPosting · 18/02/2008 15:18

Afternoon all! Is everyone else's Monday dragging along too? I know mine is!

Clair - my cycles were always bang on 26 days before I had DS. They've been all over the place ever since, ranging from 28 days right up to 40 days. They seem to be calming down a bit now and my luteal phase has settled at the 12/13 day length. This is why I was surprised that I ovulated 'early' this month - at my pre-DS 13 day cycle length!

Ready - I keep meaning to reply to your earlier post but I'm all over the place at the moment! With DS, I started to feel 'symptoms' at around the 9DPO stage; I felt very hot and flustered and woozy, like I'd been rushing around all day long when I hadn't been. By 12DPO, I was feeling quite nauseous and had a lot of heartburn. I just felt distinctly 'odd' and so I took a test the next day and it was positive. I'm very much in two minds this time - I don't feel right but it's not as strong as before (but then I'm only 6DPO) and I'm aware that it could all be my imagination getting carried away. On the other hand, I'm trying to persuade myself that I'm not pregnant as I don't want to build myself up for a massive disappointment. How are you feeling today? I don't want to ask you too much as I'm sure you don't want to be under any pressure etc.

rainbowdays · 18/02/2008 16:15

Sorry to intrude this is another ex-temp buddy. Wanting to wish you all well.

LondonLottie - good to see you here again

rah - sorry to hear that pmt is raising its ugly head again for you

Hiya. I am going to do a selfish me post for now. I think it is all getting too much for me at the moment. I am feeling distinctly pre-menstrual (spots, mood swings, cramps) and my temp dip just cements in my head that cycle 18 was not to be the lucky one.
I am on a bit of a rollercoaster, emotionally, at the moment. On the one hand, there is so much going on in our life right now, that not falling pg should not be that big of a deal... but my heart is slowly breaking with every passing month. It feels more and more as though I am never going to be a mum - whilst everyone around me announces their 1st and 2nd pregnancies.

So, please forgive me if I am not on the thread too much over the next couple of weeks, I will be thinking of you all

FurtivelyPosting · 18/02/2008 20:28

Thinking of you, Ready and understand how you're feeling. FWIW, I think if anyone is entitled to some selfish posts now, it's certainly you; you've always asked after everyone in all of your posts, remembered what people have been up to and taken an interest in what has been going on for them. I know I've always really appreciated your posts and I think that everyone here would be more than happy to listen to you and offer a virtual shoulder to lean on and a listening ear for however long you need them.

Don't stay away too long because you certainly will be missed.

Hi Hanaflower

If only! I'm not getting my hopes up though - since ov day I've had a perfectly flat line on my chart just above the coverline so I think it's just making up for that.

Hope everyone's doing well this morning. It's frosty again here after a glorious weekend ... take care of yourselves!
