Sorry hanaflower At least you have an idea of how your cycle works though. This is the way I'm viewing it as it was my first proper cycle temping. Hope it doesn't spoil your show tonight.

Afternoon, all!

So sorry to see you at the top of the list, hanaflower but as you say, at least know you can see how your body works and this will stand you in good stead for your next cycle.

Rah - sorry to hear you've been so poorly. Hope you make a speedy recovery - these cold/flu bugs doing the rounds are horrible, aren't they?

Ready - thanks for the reminder! I've bought a ticket online now to make sure that I don't miss the draw!

Hi to everyone else too - hope you're all ok. Thank flip it's the weekend. Anyone got any plans? Nothing exciting happening here - just a viewing at 5pm so I'll be spending the day nagging everyone to keep the house clean!

Ready · 08/02/2008 19:03

Hanaflower, really sorry to see you at the top of the list, but I am especially impressed with your silver lining attitude ? good on you!! I am sorry to hear that you have self-esteem issues and that it stems from age 6 poor you - I hope you are working things through. Good luck with the dancing! Have to say you are very brave performing ? that?s got to be a step in the right direction for esteem issues

Minxi, how about sending a pyramid email? send out an email with the link to all your friends, and tell them to send it to 10 friends, and so on

FP, if you win £95 million, then you must give me a million ? In response to your question (sorry for the delay) I would say that it is possible to be fertile as early as CD8, which could mean you ovulate say CD12, and with a LP of 13 that would make your cycle about 25 days long , which is not unheard of! Or you could have a longer fertile phase (lucky you). Could be a one-off?

Rah, I am so sorry that you have had the flu and it meant you missed your appointment. If you got a peak on your monitor today, how about you get dh to do the business, just lay there ? just kidding. I am hopeful for you for next month. Forgive me, but I had to laugh at the prospect of you convincing yourself of an immaculate conception? perhaps we could start nicknaming you Mary ? Don?t give up babe, we will get there!!!! Take it easy!

Lottie, I completely agree with you? t?is ridiculous to charge 7.99 and then not even come away with a hard copy. I have to admit, I am a bit of a geek, I think it is important to have the CD. I don?t have an ipod, preferred the sony mp3 player, it?s sleeker, and really don?t know who needs more than 2500 songs to be portable. DH?s CD collection is immense, with 600 albums, and even he wouldn?t want more than the 8mb mp3player. We don?t have a mac, and we were put off the ipod/itunes restrictiveness so plumped for sony instead. PMSL at you having to breath into a paper bag . How does it feel to be back temping? I have a good feeling for you, the break has done you good, and all these vits can only be a good thing!! You got me thinking about the Zita vits, I am going to look at the website you gave and see what they have ? thanks for that!

Rattling, I have seen you on another thread lately, so I know you are ok? but you must be back at being super busy at work since you have not been chatting away here Coming up for the crucial phase of the month ? enjoy

FYumMum, Birmingham is the place to go for jewellery isn?t it!! A friend of mine lives not too far from the jewellery quarter, and she had so much fun picking out her wedding ring! Sounds like you had a good time.

ClairLesley, thanks for the congrats, nice of you of you to say I rock In my opinion (and it is by no means gospel or whatever!) I?d recommend getting busy every 2-3 days throughout your entire cycle to start with. Every other day if you can muster up enough vigour for it. But since you have said that your sex-drive is not super-charged (and you really shouldn?t feel bad about that, by the way!) then I think every day would probably make you enjoy it even less.

Ladylush have to agree with you, the early days of the cycle are soooo dull. That must be why chocolate and wine were invented? surely Enjoy!

Nappy, hope all is well with you, you?ve not been your normal chatty self lately, and I am worried about you. Sending big hugs, and lots of positive thinking your way!! Hope that you are feeling bright and breezy soon. My fingers and toes are crossed for you, now I know that there was no ?airbed? action this month, but you never know if a wriggler go through earlier?

Fruity, sorry chick, I don?t have PCOS, so my chart won?t be any help to you. Hope you are ok?

I think we have lost BB2B???? Hope you are ok???

Hope I haven?t missed anyone? right now that is done I better go and check my roasted veg pasta bake isn?t burnt Ciao x

orchidgirl · 08/02/2008 22:21

Hi, hope you don't mind me joining this thread. I can see a few familiar names from other threads. For those that don't know me I have been charting since July 07 after a miscarriage. Was suprised by pregnancy as I came off the pill in 1998! Anyway if I can get pregnant once I can do it again....

I have added my chart to the charting page.

ladylush · 08/02/2008 23:41

Wellcome orchid girl and hope you get to graduate soon. Have you really been ttc for 10 years? Bloody hell - in that case you surely deserve to be front of the queue. Have you had any investigations?

Ready - I admire your ability to respond to everyone on the thread You read my mind. I had wine and chocolate tonight

Rah - hope you feel better soon xx

Hannaflower - hope the show went well. I'm sorry too to hear about the self-esteem problem but glad you are getting some help. CBT is very good - especially if you are a psychologically minded person. I also feel that friends are very important. I don't think I would be as self-confident if I didn't have such wonderful friends. Family are wonderful too but they don't often love unconditionally in the way that friends can.

Emmsy1 · 09/02/2008 08:04

Thanks to ready and ladylush for replying re: cervical position, I have decided not to bother with it, I'll stick to temping, CM and OPK!
ladylush have definately been on the same thread with you before, not quite sure which one, fingers crossed that you will be back on antenatal again soon xx
My last M/C was in september 07, I am currently on to CD15 but I 'O' very early this cycle, on CD9!! my LP is usually 13-14 days, my temp this morning was 36.98, I don't feel that i should add my stats to your thread cos I feel thats its intruding, if I'm truly welcome can someone please do it for me??
I had a 48-49 day cycle last month, I
blame xmas for that, as I truly over indulged!! As far as I am aware, I have never 'O' this early before, I am wondering if it could be AD that I was prescribed on CD4 that has encouraged it?? (I intend to stop the AD's as soon as I get my BFP)
AD = Anti-depressants (Fluoxetine 20mg)

Good Morning everyone!

Ready ... you absolutely rock! Replying to everyone and always being such a wonderful cheerleader to us all Hope you enjoyed your roasted veg pasta bake ... I'm curious if you managed to get any brazil nuts in there for DH?

Orchidgirl ... welcome to the club! I'm a newbie also. I'm so sorry to hear about your m/c. Hope you graduate soon - sounds like you have a very positive attitude

Emmsy1 ... welcome to the club also! I only joined a few weeks ago and am so glad I did. It's a wonderful group ... everyone's lovely/hilarious/very supportive! So sorry about your m/c before. I've added your temp to the list ... something that I haven't done before so I hope it's right ... I just didn't know what to add for your cycle info so you can take care of that tomorrow

Furtivelypostively ... thank you for updating the chart today After a trip to the vet, I will be coming home to two IKEA bags full of ironing ... so that makes two of us. Hope the viewers love your home!!!

Have a great weekend everyone - I'm planning to pounce on DH tonight, wish me luck! (am going to try the 'legs up the wall' thingy afterwards) See you here tomorrow.

Dh has been at an away match today, so sitting in the house, on my own... bored. Need a cat. I have done lots today, my mum popped round to drop of my card/present and I sat and made a few cards too (not for me ) Have pretty much resisted the lure of MN until now

ClairLesley, very sweet of you Hope you managed to get all your ironing done! I did a truck load of it in the week too ? but I actually like doing it ? I just watch a movie or something whilst doing it Chuckled at you wondering if I managed to hide any brazil nuts in my pasta bake ? Trip to the vet? Hope it was only routine and nothing wrong?

Orchidgirl, nice to see you, welcome aboard I was going to ask how it felt to be temping, I thought you were new to it, then I looked at your charts, and see you have been charting for a while ? do you find it helpful?

Ladylush My roasted veg pasta bake has kind of evolved over the years, taught by mum and then tinkered with lots, so I?ll tell you roughly what I do, and then if you like the sound of it, I?d say give a couple of goes before you do it for friends, and get the amounts that suit you.
Chop up 2 peppers, 2 small red onions, 2 courgettes into bite sized pieces and 2 garlic cloves (finely chopped or grated), throw into an oven dish, drizzle on some olive oil, season with salt and pepper and whack it in the oven (150°c) and let it roast away, just keeping an eye and a stir every so often. The longer you leave it the more the flavours develop.
Boil up some pasta (approx 175g)
When the veg is well roasted and super soft, add the drained pasta, stir it all around, then add a tin of tomatoes, and some fresh basil and thyme (or dried mixed herbs work well too) stir again and whack it back into the oven for half an hour (again, if you want to leave it, then I sometimes do ? depending on time)
Grate up some (I use cheddar ) cheese (enough to cover the whole dish) and sprinkle all over the top of the dish ? turn the heat right up to 200°c and then let it bubble away until golden and crispy! Enjoy with green salad and bread ? and copious amounts of Grenache
I think that?s it ? it?s hard to share recipes when they are not from a book ? I cook this a lot when we have friends round, and it goes down a treat. One of my dh?s best friends always requests it when he visits ? and I make more than above, that?s really for me and dh ? who is a glutton and usually finishes it off

Hanaflower, how did the performance go yesterday?

FP, How did you get on with your viewing? Fingers and toes crossed for you, hope that they loved it and put in an asking price offer, or near as damn it.

Emmsy, don?t blame you for not bothering with the CP ? I hope you don?t mind me asking, I am just curious, what happens with regards to the ADs and pregnancy? Can you just stop taking them when you get your BFP?

Hope everyone else is tip-top

fym · 09/02/2008 21:10

just trying out a new chat name but couldn't think of anything good .... any ideas????

Question for all of you have you stopped drinking alcohol while TTC? I haven't (well have cut back a bit) then had DH on my back the other day saying that I stopped drinking while ttc last time and why wasn't I doing it this time

Now I think I stopped after OV then started again with AF (so a bit of two weeks on two weeks off) last time ...... BUT I'm thinking less alcohol helps you get PG (doesn't drinking halve the chance of conception each month???), then after you are PG there is no shared blood supply until about week 5 (although I wouldn't drink alcohol when PG anyway - no judgements on anyone else!)....

Basically I think I'm saying I should not drink alcohol altogether as pre PG it reduces the chances of conception once PG I wouldn't drink anyway....

Bit of a long post but you get my drift - have probably been overdoing it anyway (bit of a bad year last year) and probably got it slightly wrong last time....

although maybe a glass or two tonight will ensure bd'ing as my chart is about to go into the "fertile" phase!!!

hmmm - yes - have decided to cut down a lot - had a very bad time at work last year when I went back after having DS that finished with me being made redundant (boss just didn't want a part timer). Fortunately I had an impeccable record so managed to walk away with cash after I threatened to take the co. to tribunal.

but made me feel awful, depressed etc while it was going on. put on 2 stone in weight etc etc

feel a lot better now - started my own company which is going very well. now realise boss was completely unbalanced!

time for a new year new start I think (although it is feb already!!!)

Morning all! How's everyone doing today?

I managed to get loads of ironing done yesterday. It took me four hours in the end; four flipping hours!! I also got the house looking presentable for the viewing. The viewers were a nice couple with two children, looking to move to the area because the schools have good reputations. They seemed to like the house - they thought that it was much bigger than they anticipated, they liked how the two secondary bedrooms were fairly big and equal in size (instead of the thirs being a box room) and they had nice things to say generally. I can never tell with viewings though so I'm not holding my breath. I'll just have to wait and see if they put an offer in or what kind of feedback they give to the estate agent. Fingers crossed, though!

I'm impressed Ready - I'd be on MN all day if I got the chance!

Hanaflower -glad the performance went so well. You have to tell us about your workshop thing too. Sounds interesting.

FYM - I haven't given up alcohol completely but I have cut back (I was never a big drinker anyway). I now only have a couple of glasses of wine with an evening meal at the weekend only.

Hi to everyone else - got to dsah; DS has done a little present for me in his nappy.

fym · 10/02/2008 09:59

FP can you change my little stinker too while you're at it?
