minxi thanks for the support. Af due sat or mon so clomid will be sun or tues! Just asked a friend at work, as I know his wife had awful side effects, if the sife effects last for the 5 days or longer. She apparently had terrible migraine like symptoms for 14 days of the month! aaaahhhh!!! I don't eneve see how this drug will help, as I am ovulating!

ladylush · 06/02/2008 10:20

Nappy, was it to increase the length of your luteal phase?

Morning girls, I'm just barging in through the door to ask your advise on temping, hope you dont mind!

Ok, I was gonna start this morning as practice for the beginning of my next cycle. The chart I was sent with my thermometer (ebay - babymad) only goes up to 40 days . I'm on CD45 now so I though it would be a good idea to photocopy it and start on day 5. So, I had it all ready and set out but I woke up 15 mins before my alarm so I tried to go back to sleep but didn't really. I decided not to temp in case being awake 15 mins affected it. Does it?

Also why oh why oh why are all the ovulation charts on the net only 40 days?! don't they realise every woman is different?! really annoys me cos I'd find it really handy to record my temps on net. Does anyone know of one that allows for people with very long cycles (ie 80+ days) ??

Ladylush - really sorry to see you at the top of the list. Hope it's not long until we all get to graduate!

Hanaflower - keeping everything crossed for you! It would be great to see some BFPs here soon.

Rah - sending you egg growing vibes! Hope they get nice and big.

Hi to everyone else - sorry for lack of personals; I can only pop in quickly today. It's my second day back at work. I'm really not enjoying it. I miss DS so, so much and I feel so awful and guilty about not being with him. I'm meant to be doing lots of reading and catching up but my heart's just not in it.

Haven't been around for a couple of days as was up in Scotland for a wedding (very good) and then back to work yesterday (not at all good). I'll have a proper catch up with you all soon - I'm loving the Zita/Vita lady gardens and the hiding of the brazil nuts. Excellent work there, Ready!

FurtivelyPosting · 06/02/2008 13:27

Fruitloop - I'd record your temperature just in case. It can't hurt - as long as you weren't up and about and doing stuff, I think it should be ok.

With the charting, I always use the online charts at FF rather than paper charts. The online charts just keep on going for as long as you want them to and there's no need to photocopy extra sheets etc. If you prefer paper charts though, I'm sure someone else will be along with a top tip - I have no experience of paper charts other than looking at them in the back of TCOYF, I'm afraid!

FurtivelyPosting · 06/02/2008 13:30

Sorry, Fruitloop - just read your post again and see that you didn't temp today. I'd suggest that it's ok to take your temp 15 mins either side of your usual time, just as long as you haven't been up and about (the important thing is that it is your resting temperature). I sometimes take mine as much as 25-30 mins either side of my usual time and FF charts it as usual (I only get an 'open circle' on my chart if the temperature was taken more than half an hour outside of my usual time). Hope this helps!

fruitloop79 · 06/02/2008 13:49

ah thanks Furtively I haven't temped before, was gonna begin today to practice . I thought you were supposed to temp the minute you wake up. It's good to know you can give yourself a chance to open your eyes first . I'll try again tomorrow. Thank you. I'll probably join you lot when I start temping properly next cycle

Afternoon poppets Ok, so ? on the OPK today, no line at all. So I am going to take my cue from Lottie and say that yesterday and the day before were +, the lines were very dark. Not as thick as the control, but I don?t care

Minxi, I am so sorry that you have been so poorly, sod the housework, plenty of rest honey!! Well, the interview must have gone ok, because I got the job offer in the post yesterday Dead chuffed. Not sure when I start as it is subject to health enquiries and security clearance. Hopefully soon though

Nappy, how are you feeling chick? Thrown any clomid tantrums in preparation yet? Ease the family in slowly ? hey at least there is something to blame mood swings on for a bit? Silver lining Just kidding, I am sure you will be fine!

Rattling, how are you, sweets? Work any busier? Presume it must be or else you would be on here a bit more Hope you are well? And hope your kitten is ok?

Ladylush, nuts in my muffin rofl. Brilliant. My word, we are a saucy lot, Freudian slips, innuendoes . How are you doing? Enjoy the vino! And don?t worry too much about your temps during menstruation, well, I don?t anyway.

FP, so sorry that you are not enjoying being back at work cannot imagine how hard it must be for you) Big hugs. Please try not to feel guilty though. Missing ds is perfectly natural, but you mustn?t add to your stresses by feeling guilty.

Hanaflower, fingers crossed for you. I know what you mean about looking for every possible sign. It?s a nightmare

Also, a big hello to the rest of you Happy CampersTempers

Right, I am off for a chart spot big hint for those who haven?t posted your charts on the new thread

Fruitloop, feel free to join us when you ready. I pretty much echo what the others have said. Temping is not an exact science, and what might affect the temperature of one person, might not make the tiniest amount of difference in another.
All the dos and don?ts are just a guide really.
The best thing is to make notes, so that if when you look at the chart as a complete picture there is a wayward looking temp, it might be easily explained. Less sleep than normal, alcohol, disturbed sleep, waking early, waking late etc Most important thing is not to stress about it. That?ll do you no good
Fertility Friend allows you to have a long cycle, but if it is paper you want, I only suggest drawing yourself a chart and copying it. Sorry I can?t be any more help. Good luck

fruitloop79 · 06/02/2008 17:33

Thanks ready nope I'm happy to use an online chart providing I can work out FF! I think I've worked it out. I might use paper to jot it down so I don't forget before I log on to FF. See you all soon, and good luck! Hopefully by the time I start temping next month most of you will have BFP's!

Emmsy1 · 06/02/2008 20:34

Hi girls, I have children but want one last one! I have been temping for 17 months and have had a + twice in that time (both ended in m/c at 6+ weeks)
This month I 'O' on day 9 (which is a first for me!) I am only on day 12 today. I would like to ask a Q about cervical position. When you have 'O' does your CP return to its low position straight away ie: the day after 'O'?, or if you conceive would it remain high straight from 'O'?? really new at this cervical position thingy, so would really appreciate any advice

Ready · 06/02/2008 21:35

Emmsy, sorry about your m/cs I am afraid cervical position is something I know very little about - I have not gone down that route of checking - and I have checked everything else.
One of the others might be able to help, I just didn't want to leave you hanging

ladylush · 06/02/2008 22:59

Me neither. I think I would just prefer it to remain a mystery iyswim! Good luck with it though, and hopefully someone else more cervically minded might pop along with some expert advice. I think we might have been on an antenatal thread together Emmsy. I had some m/cs as well, so I sympathise. Hope you're not here too long.

Ready - congrats on the job hun. Great news Extra muffins in your house then I did enjoy the wine. I have a fast on weekdays usually but I thought feck it, what the hell!

Hanaflower - hope it's good news for you this month. Good belly dancing session?

Hi everyone else
