Hi all,

Minxi - Thought I'd do what you said and start a new thread for 2008 (even though we have got a few days to go). Sorry to hear about AF but pleased your staying positive definately get reflexology going its worked wonders for me

Hope you have all had a lovely christmas

Well I am scared to type this (let alone say it out load) after last time but I got a BFP this morning!!! I am so scared and happy all rolled into one because of MC in October I so hope this one holds on.

OP posts:

Hi Ready Yes on 17th and 18th temps are higher cos I had a few drinks (birthday). Does the chart make sense to you then? I suppose I was expecting higher temps post ovulation whereas I am still getting 36.2 quite often.

Rattling - do I have to go to the back of the queue as well? Can I have some dispensation for being a multiple miscarrier multiple miscarriers park here. Sorry I have a warped sense of humour

ladylush · 04/02/2008 19:17

Oops I meant on 18th and 19th

Have been away with friends in bristol over the weekend and it is so hard to catch up on our thread. It is positively humming, considering how quiet and lonely it was getting in october!!

That 38 deg was a rouge post btw. I did FINALLY see a temp shift a couple of mornings ago, so there will be no babies here this month ( as BD on a friends airbed in their lounge is just not what we do!) But I have found my prescription for Clomid and am going to get it tomorrow. Have sworn commitment from DH to pull out all the stops next cycle.

FP -those hatching vibes worked I was begining to panic that it was an anovulatory cycle which would be scary.

ClairLesley -welcome to the world of taking yout thermometer with you whereever you go! ON the vitamin question I can tell you that Selenium, Vit A, C and E (which you can get as a combo now) and zinc are good for those swimmers. But if you want to be more subtle with DH give him Brazil nuts which is an excelletn source of selenium.

Scorpio - nice to hear your doing ok, love those pics, my faourite is the Sporticus one. how cute our your boys!!

ClairLesley · 04/02/2008 20:42

Thank you again for letting me join Temp Club!! I've learned so much from you ladies already ... and all in the space of a few posts

Rattling I totally understand & respect the queue

Ready Just googled Vita West ... pricey indeed - especially if you end up getting both the his & hers version! - but they do look the business. Please let me know what you think if you indulge! I'll try to get DH on Selenium ACE & Zinc once his current tabs run out.

Nappy V Brazil Nuts, huh? Sneaky. Will pick some up tomorrow

Okay, so the queueing isn't going to work. Nappy, Ready, Minxi and I are, on paper, due to graduate next. But Rahrah has gone through more than any of us, all those who have dealt with a m/c deserve to graduate, and wouldn't it be wonderful if the rest of you didn't become as jaded as us old-timers and made it through without a fuss. Lottie isn't even on the list and I want her to graduate too .

Just as long as we all make it sometime soon

Due to OV on the 13th - have to see if I can catch it with the thermometer this time!

freddiesyummymummy · 05/02/2008 11:37

ps clair yes I agree with ready! The zita west book is great at guiding you to basic changes you need to make when TTC.

Again absolutely no science to this - just advice I took when researching....

Last time I cut out the following on her advice
Artificial sweetener (so no diet coke and muller lights!)
less alcohol
painkillers (ibuprofen & asprin) (not paracetamol thats ok)
plus other stuff....

DH took vitamins (he's not doing this now so good tip about the brazil nuts!) and less alcohol.

none of this is necessary except the folic acid although you can do more though if you are having problems....

Not sure what Vita would say on the subject tho .....

freddiesyummymummy · 05/02/2008 11:38

OK I've got loads of work BUT

Just read about Vita - very interesting person!

now must get on with work!

Hanaflower & FYM I bet old Vita would be very supportive ... besides, Zita really should have been called Vita what with her whole 'vita-min' thing

I have come off caffeine (no more beloved diet coke for a while) ... but hadn't even thought of the artificial sweetenter part . Great tip!

Bye for now!!

Morning all. Loving the Vita and Zita confusions!!

I like the queue idea, but I think some of us are destined to take a while to graduate, but I have not given up on the idea of graduation entirely. I know Seaside and Scorpio were trying for ages. I don't mind who graduates first, as long as someone gets pregnant in the next cycle, or I am going to think that the pregnancy panda needs a new broadband provider.

I have decided not to give up hope until Christmas. we will have a 4 year age gap in that case! and that is enough. Lots of toddlers round yesterday it was crazy, but also a 4 week old -sooo cute, especially as he was asleep. Am finding things OK again, but I think that is because am in the 2WW and know I am not pregnant and therefore no need to worry. AF due at weekend and then next week it is clomid time. DH v v anxios about possible psychotic side effects.

rahrah how are you doing?. having "fun" with the scans ? are doing clomid and IUI this cycle? Really thinking of you and those little eggies of yours (shall we call them Bill and Ben or how about Dick and Dom). Really willing those swimmers to have a sense of direction and urgency this month. Remember stay relaxed deep breaths and keep repeating the mantra "I will graduate the temp buddies thread".

clomid I know some of you have taken it, any top tips on coping?? Although personally I think the probing is worse - some how it always kicks off an emotional reaction for me.

Evening all.
Rattling - fwiw - I really hope you all graduate asap
Clair psml at Vita - mind you I bet she knows all about lady gardens, which frankly is not miles off the subject
Nappy - not all women go psychotic on clomid. Here to hand if you think you are going mad though (I'm a MH nurse).

Ready · 05/02/2008 20:09

Evening ladies ? Pmsl at Vita West? She had an affair with Virginia Woolf? I had no idea VW was bi-sexual. You live and learn

Ladylush, Sorry to see you at the top of the list I had a look at your chart, and I definitely think that you were right to alter the temps. I would say that charting is supposed to assist and not confuse. So if signs point to ovulation, but the temps are not necessarily conferring then you mustn?t let it stress you out. It?s only a guide, every woman is different. The one thing I will say, you were thinking about how low the temps are? when I first started I found my temps were low, and someone suggested (might?ve been Greedy??) that putting the thermometer in from cold and taking the first reading can lead to inaccurate results (or indeed erratic temps) so what I do now is pop the therm in to warm it for a bit. Then press the button and take my temp, I generally take it a couple of times too, to make sure it is roughly the same each time.

ClairLesley, there really is no queue If there was, I would be loooong gone
Will let you know if we take the plunge with the Zita West vits

Nappy, my dh refuses to eat brazil nuts, so I have taken to chopping them up and hiding them in muffins ? pmsl at the thought of doing the deed on an airbed ? pure comedy
Loving the ?sworn commitment? ? go get him

Lottie, I am glad you said that about the OPKs. To be honest, I got another line today that was as dark as the control but not as thick (if you see what I mean?) ? so I am going to put yesterday and today as + unless they get darker and thicker tomorrow. How are you doing? Succumbed to the lure of the lab-coat and pee-pots yet

Rattling Jaded old-timers!! Yes, you are quite correct How you doing? You might have already tried this, but if you go into the sharing option on FF, home page setup, and there is a section called ?graphics?, there is a tick-box for ?add BBT overlay? ? presuming if you uncheck the box it will disappear??

Hanaflower, fingers crossed.

Rah, how did it go at the clinic, flower?? Thinking of you lots!!!

Minxi, are you busy getting busy? I should be, but dh out for a few hours this evening? every intention of throwing myself at him on his return . Hope all is well with you?

BB2B, you done a runner?

FP, Hope you are ok? Plenty of chocolate and vino

FYM, it?s scary how much is out there that has artificial sweetener in it. I expect it in diet products, but I looked at the ingredients on our robinson?s fruit squash, and even the one that is not ?no added sugar? contains phenylan-wotsit. So I have stopped drinking squash now. Slices of lemon/lime in water now ? tastes just as good! How are you? I think you are the only one with the TCOYF software, at the moment anyway

I think that?s everyone????? Sorry if I have forgotten you, but this was turning into an epic, even for my standards

ClairLesley · 05/02/2008 21:11

Hi Ladylush ... I am rolling on the floor laughing at 'lady gardens' Zita will always be Vita to me now ...

See you tomorrow tempers!!

Ready · 05/02/2008 21:41

hahahahaha. I missed that about ladygardens - Ladylush

ladylush · 06/02/2008 08:09

Good tip about warming the thermometer Ready. Thanks

Had 3 glasses of wine yesterday purely because there was no reason not to iyswim so today's temp is high @ 36.5. I'll adjust it I think to 36.2 (which is what it was yesterday on CD1).

Hi girls....been very poorly with the flu and no action at all!!! DH away since Monday also and not back until Saturday so no chance of anything happening this month at all.... should probably put myself at the top of the list and wait until next month which is only 10 days away!!! Feel fine about it though - maybe needed a month off - was supposed to do reflexology today but therapist is ill so am going next week, so am trying to go every other week...

Ladylush sorry to see you back at cd1

Ready pmsl at you hiding brazil nuts in muffins hope all is well with you - how did the job interview go ? How is the house getting on - are you all settled in ?

Rah TWO eggs!! Hope all is going well this month...

Nappy hope all is well on the clomid - have you started, just remember if you are going through crazy moments it is not you and only the hormones as it can be a bit strange one minute you are ok and the next you could be screaming at anyone! and I mean anyone!! good luck

Rattling hope all is well with you....

Lottie how are you doing - hopefully taking things more chilled in your first month back here surely nobody can be chilled when you know you have given it your best shot every month....

hello to everyone else.....

right must go and clean my house as nothing has been done for the last week whilst I was trying to get better!
