Here we go! Thread 14 for the nicest bunch of women on Mumsnet

Thread 13 was very joyful and very painful for me, but what it has shown me is that even old warhorses like me can get lucky, so there's no excuse for all you nubile young honies not to deliver the goods! Come on now, Mama Hester expects you to do your duty by your fellow ttc-ers

Get ready now, 1 - 2 - 3, GO!!!

I was disappointed to see that my temp hadn't dropped any further this morning, bearing in mind that the OPK was neg but stronger last night, and that I had had stabbing pains low down. Today my temp is the same as it was yesterday and I now have a duller ache than a stabbing pain. All I can do is try the OPK tonight and BD accordingly!!

ernest · 18/11/2004 12:11

any excuse beckif! have fun

jeddah · 18/11/2004 12:30

good luck to all that are due to test!!!
how exciting!

ebbie...sometimes a break a good.......still keep up with the news though!

mariella · 18/11/2004 12:38

ernest you sound just like me in that thread! except it is my dh who couldn't imagine life without 4, not me. but I think it would be nice, in between my cold feet iyswim. mine are a little older than yours but my baby is 15 months so not so dissimilar. if I got pg now the oldest would be 8. very exciting that you are almost about to test, i'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

jeddah · 18/11/2004 13:25

girls monitor here!
Reset it OK
Starting using it this morning! how exciting it was to press the 'M' button!!

CD 5 for me!.

its highly unlikely that it will work first ,month but I an quite excited!!!!!

Twiga · 18/11/2004 13:31

Afternoon girls, and hello to the new people- good to have you on board.

MASSIVE congrats to all the bfp, very pleased for you (if a teeny bit jealous!).

Still no AF!!!!!!

hester · 18/11/2004 14:14

Jeddah - each time I started using persona, I got an 'o' in the first month so don't write it off. However, the first month is a bit unusual as you have to do twice the number of test sticks. Best of luck with it.

munnzieb · 18/11/2004 15:13

have u tested yet runtus

morningpaper · 18/11/2004 15:48

Hello lovely ladies, it's only cycle 2 of TTC no.2 but I'm aware that this is the last month that there will be 2 school years between dd1 and db2 - if we don't get pg this month then it will be at least 3 school years between then!

Well I'm post-ovulation now and not sure that we really got it on target this month.

Anyway, here's hoping that all the talk of stockings will make Santa come down our chimneys for Christmas (and other bad innuendoes).

hester · 18/11/2004 15:50

morningpaper - with a mind that filthy you should be up the duff in no time!!

runtus · 18/11/2004 15:53

Munzie - yeah tested yesterday and got BFN which was pretty obvious really.......waste of money again!

munnzieb · 18/11/2004 18:14

well here's to hoping for next month then girls?

wilbur · 18/11/2004 18:27

Well still no af here, 15 dpo (I think) and cd25 - I did a test yesterday and it was negative but my temp is still high. Then again dd has had a temp so maybe I'm just ill. No other symptoms of preg and of course today I feel a little congested and crampy so maybe I've got it wrong again. Still can't find the tests I ordered from the internet so had to buy expensive ones. Grrr.

wilbur · 18/11/2004 18:28

Ooooh, congrats to the bfps too! Very exciting! And welcome to MrsFogi and Footstep - here's hoping you have a short but happy stay here

BeckiF · 18/11/2004 18:29

Absolutely gutted. Just di my ngightly OPK and got the feintest line yet, which was such a shock after last nihgts very dark negative (it was almost a positive). Don't know wha't going on, expect it's more of the curse that is PCOS. Am very, very miserable and sad right now

hester · 18/11/2004 18:44

Oh Becki, Becki, Becki. It's so tough, isn't it? You really deserve some good luck soon. Huge, huge hugs from me. We'll get you that September baby, darling xxx

OP posts:
ernest · 18/11/2004 19:17

beckif, so sorry, how gutting. Hope your dh takes good care of you tonight, you must be feeling really down

jeddah · 18/11/2004 19:45

beckif....hate to say this but this happened to me 2 months running..........very dark negative .....then very faint line next day.

maybe this means that we had ov in the night?????.but yes it happened to me twice!!!!!

thats why I bought a persona monitor!!!

so sorry its bloody sickening!

BeckiF · 18/11/2004 20:46

Hester my Angel, such kind words. If I did by some miracle ovulate whilst I wasn't watching for a mili-second we've still got it covered as we did the deed last night and DP stayed put for just that bit longer to plug the gap and prevent escape! Y'see, I can laugh even when my heart is in the pit of my stomach. Love and hugs to you all, and thanks for your input jeddah and ernest, all much appreciated.

velcrobott · 18/11/2004 20:48

Happy birthday Jeddah

jeddah · 18/11/2004 20:55

vel........how did you know the date!

Thanks matey!

hows things????

velcrobott · 18/11/2004 20:59

Well you did say it was soon.... I counted.... and my birthday is NEXT wednesday so it was easy to remember....
My blood tests haven't come back (the ones measuring prolactin).... hope they haven't lost them

Needless to say I've stopped using OPK (must be on CD 75 or something!) and am resorting to looking atr cervicloa fluid and checking cervix..... very low.... so not even bothering.... grrr...

Why are you on CD5? Did you have your AF recently ????
