Still waiting for the line, having lots of symptoms but no positive yet

I look at the thread often, but no news from me 🥺. On to cycle whatever, as lost counting.

I’m pregnant. I’ll be 43 when it’s born if all goes well. Got the news on Boxing Day.

I haven't posted in here in ages but for some positive news I'm 41 now but am pregnant and thing's are progressing well so far hopefully get to meet the little guy late March

So delighted to hear positive updates! No double-line for me yet but seeing a fertility specialist early Jan so hopefully my 42 year old eggs can be squeezed into action somehow! Really spurred on by hearing about positive results though - something wonderful amidst all the doom and gloom stats!

Dear all, no positive lines for me either since my MMC in July this year (I had my first MMC in April of this year). I do have a nearly two year old boy born when I was 38 so it can happen later in life. My identical twin also just gave birth to her second baby on 11th Dec so there’s hope for anyone in their 40s. She also had her first at 38 years old so It can happen for us over 35s with a bit of luck. Hang on in there ladies, maybe 2023 will be our year xxx

Hi all. So wonderful to hear so many positive stories.
I’m currently 3 days late. I’ve had brown spotting for the last four days which has been on and off. I really got my hopes up and thought it might be implantation bleeding as I never get this before my period. However, today it’s turned more pinky and a bit heavier which I’m now thinking is going to turn in to full blown AF. 😩

Hi. I've not posted on this thread before. But I thought it may give some hope to say that I got a positive pregnancy test today. I am 41, 42 in September. My period was due yesterday, didn't arrive and I got the positive test today. I managed to hold off and wait to test! I had a miscarriage in March so I am extremely apprehensive - but I am keeping everything crossed. It was my first month of properly using my clear blue digital. I am extremely lucky xxx I have three kids already aged 12, 9 and 7 so a bit of a gap. It can happen in our 40s. Xxx

If all goes well, the baby will be due first week of September. So just before my birthday. Xx

Hi @Jomummy1013 - we are v similar. I have 3 dc, 16, 15 and 12 and I’m 42. Due first week of September but also apprehensive due to a MMC in August.

@Iusedtobedontcall omg so similar! What day in sept? I've had a quick look and mine says 8th Sept. Mine was also a MMC, lost all my symptoms but didn't start miscarrying until 10 weeks. Can I PM you? Xx

@Iusedtobedontcall but I didn't even even want to find out the EDD as I was worried I would jinx it xx

@Jomummy1013 of course you can PM me. Happy to chat. My EDD is Sept 4th. I didn’t miscarry naturally, it had to be medically managed. So just keeping my fingers crossed that this one is going to stick!

Has anyone on this thread tried IUI? I finally went to see a fertility specialist the other day. She said that given my age (42) and hormone levels (v low AMH, high FSH and high estradiol), our chances of conceiving our low, either naturally or via assisted fertility. Apparently, there's just a 10% chance of live birth per cycle of IVF. We haven't ruled out having a go but she also mentioned IUI (with stimulated egg production)- apparently, at my age the success rates (for pregnancy) of IVF and IUI are similar. Has anyone been in a similar position and given IUI a try before going full whack with IVF?

@Jomummy1013 @Iusedtobedontcall I'm 40 (41 in April) and found out just before xmas I am pregnant after a year of trying. I had an early scan today as meant to be 7 weeks but can't see a fetal pole yet, just a yolk sac - everything else looked good but he said more like 5.5 weeks. I'm going to have a torturous 10 days before the next one as I'm very sure of my dates and not sure why it's not adding up.. if I succeed I will be very similar time to you both.

@jalu47 congrats to you and I hope that your next scan shows a healthy embryo. When is the next scan? I am 6 weeks and 3 days now. The next ten days will drag for sure, will you keep us posted? Xx

Thanks. It'll be on 26th so 10 days... this nugget has been through so much already, I hope it can hang on as it is so wanted.
