I was convinced I was pregnant every month for the first couple of months! It's been an age. I hope I'm one of those people who gets accidentally pregnant naturally after their IVF baby. I can say things like "oh gosh! We weren't even trying!"

@paintfairy doesn't hurt to have multiple tests about. When I got my bfp it was faintish so we had to go out and buy more to take later before I could believe it was true. I also did a test every other day for two weeks to check it was still positive After so long trying it's hard to believe

@Marvellouslymadmum that's great news about the lap, finally someone taking it seriously! Fingers crossed the clomid does the trick and you don't need it though

@Motherofkittens28 yes at last! I'm hoping I don't need it and if I do that they won't just dismiss me needing it again

@Juno231 bloody af!! Always arriving at the wrong time!! Could you tell the clinic that’s when it’s due and then phone after the bank holiday so you can still start that month possibly? Or do you need to go in for a scan then? Can’t remember if you are long or short protocol!

@Juno231 saw your AF update. I also feel I’ve waited long enough and I’m very annoyed my cycle falls at Christmas closure, currently predicted for Dec 27th. They keep saying it’s 4 months except it’s not 4 months, it’s 5 or more for me. My ‘4 months’ would be December 😑.

@crazycatlady1981 I'll definitely ask them closer to the time but the current problem is that I'm on short protocol so per the schedule if AF starts on a weekend, I have to be scanned and start my meds on the Monday. Except that the Monday for me will be a bank holiday. If I'm lucky I can do it on the Tuesday perhaps🤞🤞

@thislittlebird gah 27th is a pain! Annoyingly at my clinic you'd be able to get started on the 29th actually!

@Juno231 that depends if they even call me before then, of course, but I think mine opens on the 28th. Something like that. Exactly the wrong day/s. I also have the problem that I booked a week away in early January, so even if they did call me the holiday would be in the way. I assumed they wouldn’t call when I booked, which probably means they will 🙃

@Motherofkittens28 yes that's what I thought. Tests aren't always reliable so having just 1 isn't probably a good idea.

God, I felt not great yesterday but I thought I was dying in the night. Cramps and trapped wind. Not sure if it's the after effects of the trigger/EC still or the progesterone? But its not good.

How do people find progesterone? Weirdly that bothers me for when we get ivf more than anything else. In my normal cycle my luteal phase flares up my IBS and ME, I feel so yak, digestion all to pot and then my brain just walks off and leaves me. I can barely marshall my thoughts at work (when I'm in charge of a baby unit!) And feel sick as a pig without extra hormones. Get feeling i may have to be off after transfer purely from feeling crappy!
@Juno231 @thislittlebird will they not give you something to bring period on slightly early or delay slightly? Norethisterone us usually taken for 7-10 days and they gave me that to delay period when lap was due x

@kerrym87 erm, bad. 🤣 Pains from hell.

@kerrym87 I don't think it effects me too much, but I might just be used to it. I've been on it since my pregnancy was confirmed and they want me to continue to 24 weeks! I am bloated, but can't tell if that's the progesterone or the pregnancy 🤔. God I'll be relieved when I can stop the pessaries though!

@kerrym87 they haven’t even summoned me yet, I’m going by the point they’re at on the waiting list only, so I doubt they’d be interested in any intervention and will just push me back a bit. I’m prepared for late January anyway, any later might result in some stressed emails to them.

I have no symptoms whatsoever on progesterone so far, but I’m only on 400mg. I was surprised, thought I’d react to it because mine is usually very low but nope. Even when I had it tested last month and it was high (108), I still had no symptoms beyond a few pelvic twinges.
