This is quite interesting because I think prescriptions are charged per prescription not per item? Think I'll get the 12 months pre paid. Thanks for your info x

thislittlebird · 22/07/2022 10:20

@ShirleyValentineManc I've just checked because I have no idea, it's per item apparently so the PPC should be useful. Link here: www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/prescriptions-and-pharmacies/nhs-prescription-charges/

@Sunbird24 how did the transfer go?

Sunbird24 · 22/07/2022 10:52

All good thank you @thislittlebird, they thought they might have to get me to go and get my bladder fuller but the little catheter just slipped straight in, and I saw on the ultrasound the tiny white flash that was my embryo popping out of the tube and into its new home. Stopped off at McDonald’s for fries on the way home. Now just to wait… OTD is 3rd of August, but no way I’ll hold out that long.

ShirleyValentineManc · 22/07/2022 11:22

Rang MRI....they said buy 3months PPC. Why haven't they told me this before?! FCOL. Luckily it's extremely quick to do, just done and dusted in 2-3 minutes and emailed to you. So if you, like me, are having NHS funded treatment buy a pre paid card for £30(3 months of unlimited prescriptions)

Juno231 · 22/07/2022 11:55

@Sunbird24 best of luck! I'm lurking in the background waiting for yours and @thislittlebird 's OTDs with all my fingers crossed xx

thislittlebird · 22/07/2022 13:25

@Sunbird24 glad it went well, I did the McDs thing too!

@Juno231 thanks! I'm hating it, I wish I could stamp down on the hope this process gives me, I don't want the hope because it's such a come down if negative.

becarefuloutthere · 23/07/2022 11:59

Yep same as @Juno231 and lurking, wishing you both the best of luck! @Sunbird24 @thislittlebird🤞🏾 I would have something fun planned in case it doesn't work out so that you have a nice thing to look forward to. X

Sunbird24 · 23/07/2022 13:16

Is 47 hrs post transfer too early for baby brain to kick in? I put my lunch into the preheated oven but forgot to close the door… 🤦‍♀️

CycleGirl20 · 23/07/2022 13:28

I'm lurking and wishing everyone luck too! Hope you're all doing well @becarefuloutthere

@Sunbird24 sounds like a case of baby brain! I just keep dropping things 😕

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/07/2022 23:36

@99pctpractice yes it's certainly dramatically shorter! I thought it would be going by the three 50mg cycles the one I'm just starting now sho up s be normal Length 🤞🏻

@thislittlebird pretty much, I'm hoping this cycle will be the same or better. I am holding my breath, crossing everything and dancing in the moonlight or whatever else I can for good luck for you this time!

I have absolutely no idea where we are going or anything yet I just know we need to find somewhere as I'm not paying all that extra for this place!

@Lauralozzle thank you, I hate house hunting, packing and unpacking but I do like going somewhere new lol

@CycleGirl20 wow that time has gone really fast! Glad you're doing ok

@Sunbird24 that's a bit rubbish about the cold sores hope they're getting better? Which socks did you go for? And 3rd August is my sisters birthday, maybe it'll be a lucky day for you, I really do hope so!!

@ShirleyValentineManc sorry a bit late to the party but I have ppc anyway as I get 3 prescriptions per month it's 10.90 over 10 months so works out very well. For ivf I had 4 prescriptions for it so one month pays for one of them and rest essentially free!

ShirleyValentineManc · 24/07/2022 10:51

Thanks Kerry

thislittlebird · 24/07/2022 12:58

Feeling like I’m out again tbh.

Last time I had FET I had headache for three days and then a migraine. That was the day I tested, day before OTD. I have a headache again today, almost the exact same timing as before :/

I wish I could have some more hope, I’m so tired of seeing that one line only.

@Marvellouslymadmum You’re paying more? Is this a landlord putting up your rent? Sorry if I missed an explanation of the move.

Sunbird24 · 24/07/2022 19:39

Only CD20 and 3dp5dt so I know it’s way too early, but I keep testing anyway, can’t help myself. Last time my symptoms kicked in at 5dp5dt so I tested then and got the BFP, and there was (as usual) no heartbeat at 8 weeks but he’d grown the most of any of my pregnancies. I am tired and emotional, but that’s hardly unexpected. This process drives you mad…

thislittlebird · 25/07/2022 10:34

@Sunbird24 have you tested again today?

Feel like my progesterone inflated boobs were deflated this morning, before the pessary. Hope is through the bloody floor, and I’m losing the plot 🫠

Sunbird24 · 25/07/2022 12:54

@thislittlebird no, managed not to as i was coming to work. Got some earlies arriving in the post today so no doubt will try one of those tonight. Don’t stress yourself out about symptoms, I’ve seen so many people lose them/never have them and it still be fine. Fingers crossed you’ll be one of those.

thislittlebird · 25/07/2022 15:36

@Sunbird24 that’s good that work kept you away. I’ve got some coming today too.

I hope so, I’m depressed af right now lol. If I test early it’ll be after tomorrow, that’s when my period would be due.

Sunbird24 · 25/07/2022 17:31

Fended off the urge to test for a bit longer by going for a wee before I left work, so now I know I have to wait at least 4hrs and might as well save it for the morning. This is kind of how I used to do running - just get to the next lamppost, then the next, then the next… I’m almost as bad at running as I am at waiting!

When are you supposed to test @thislittlebird?

Marvellouslymadmum · 25/07/2022 17:35

@thislittlebird I do hope it's not a negetive for you this time, I share your loathing for the single lines!!

The landlady if the house we are in now is raising our rent by £300 a month from September and the house isn't really worth it so we are having to look for something else.

@Sunbird24 I think I would be the same as you and keep wanting to test immediately though at the same time I hate that blank bit with a passion!!

Here is a new thread as we are getting dangerously close to the 1000. Although you'll have to spot the not so deliberate mistake in the title 😂😂

Darn it, we all missed Bus 8 cos we were too busy chatting and nobody stuck their thumb out!! 😂

Thank you for new bus @Marvellouslymadmum

Marvellouslymadmum · 25/07/2022 18:50

I'm sure I probably distracted everyone as the bus sailed by haha 😂

OP posts:
thislittlebird · 25/07/2022 20:18

@Marvellouslymadmum ugh, that's a lot pcm extra. Definitely time to move!

I can't imagine it's worked, I will try to wait a few more days. Clinic is not doing a progesterone test for me in the morning, better late than never, I guess.

thislittlebird · 26/07/2022 12:15

Just going to us up the thread in case @kerrym87 or anyone else doesn’t realise we’ve moved to the new one
