Ttc after miscarriage 🤞🌈✨

Just a thread for any ladies ttc after a miscarriage! Nice to get some support from people going through the same thing. So I had a MMC at ten weeks nearly three weeks ago now. I'm still getting faint positive on tests. My ovulation tests are still all over the place possibly due to the HCG still being in my system. So not totally accurate right now. So I'm currently stuck in limbo land either waiting for ovulation or my period 🤔 any ladies want to join the journey?!?!

@Hhdxx I didn't test negative until after af so about 6 weeks. Sorry your going through this. Have they advised not to try until you have had the tests? X

@Hhdxx sorry to hear about your losses. I was 9 weeks pregnant when I was told I had a mmc as the baby stopped developing at 6. It took 10 weeks for my pregnancy tests to turn negative. I was told this was unusually long though! No retained tissue or anything. I think it's just different from person to person.

Advice ladies start of a positive or faulty tests. Easy at home is negative from the same urine.

Hi all, I’m joining the thread as some of you are at the same point as me and I’m finding TTC more stressful after my MMC.
I had an MVA on 19th November; and after thinking I had a BFP last week, found out my hormones hadn’t returned to normal yet. They have now though as AF has returned, so I’m hopeful that this cycle can be more positive!
So sorry to read about all of your losses, but hopeful we can all support each other!

Easy@home has a higher HCG threshold. If you can, I’d try a first response! I see a positive on he second one!

Does that make the one step more sensitive than the easy at home?

From what I’ve read on other forums, I think so! To give you context, I believed I had no HCG left in my system because of easy@home. Then got positives at hospital and first response but negative on easy@home. I would test again tomorrow with FMU.

@lookingforarainbow22 welcome! I'm first cycle after miscarriage was really hopeful but it hasn't happened 😩 expecting af tomorrow! Fingers crossed for the next cycle! X

Can I ask if any of you take folate/folic acid? If so how much? I'm just realising mine is 0.4mg I've been taking when midwife has advised me 5mg!!!!

@Hopingforarainbow27 I take 5 mg but that's due to me having a higher BMI. X

Do you get it ok prescription? I don't know whether to order folate or get folic on prescription. I heard it's best to take the natural form of it? Mind field!

@Hopingforarainbow27 do you have a higher BMI is that why you have been told to take it? When I was pregnant I did get a prescription from the doctors. However when I'm ttc I bought my own from Amazon. X

Welcome @Hopingforarainbow27 I think we had a MC roughly the same time. I finally got a negative with AF which arrived over a week ago..keen to start TTC but this AF is dragging like hell..x

@Skl2021 no I don't. Maybe she recommended it because I've had two miscarriages.

@Hopingforarainbow27 you might just have folate deficiency. I got put on 5mg a few years back as my folate was low and I wasn't ttc then. The one I use is on Amazon and is called bio innovations I think. Hard to find 5 mg x

I wonder if anyone here has had a similar experience- I was TTC for 2 years before falling pregnant. I only ever got a small about of EWCM, and would usually have to rely on ovulation kits etc to find out when my fertile days were. Since my miscarriage, I seem to be getting a load of EWCM and my sex drive is a lot higher. Which is easier to identify than squinting at test lines, but is a new experience for me!

Ah so sorry. Great timing witch 😡 hope you are ok. I guess at least she's here and not hanging about..and you can think about Christmas 🎅🏻 and the next cycle!
Been speaking to a good friend of mine ( who's a Consultant/Clinical lead in Gynaecology/fertility) told her about my long AF and she said a good bleed is what is needed 🙈 start afresh and all that so all hail the AF for us! 😆 x

@claremc1983 yes glad it's on time I think it's going to be a nasty one I'm already getting strong pains 😩 haha hopefully that's good then fresh start 🤞mine are heavy anyway. January marks a year since we first started ttc 🤦 it's gone so fast. X

Hi everyone I got a stronger line on my opk yesterday so hoping for peak today as its Christmas day tomorrow and no time for dtd!
However I have a lot less ewcm than I did earlier in the week, its more watery but less of it too...can your ovulation levels go up and down? Could the positive be a sign that AF is coming soon instead? First time using the sticks this week and finding them a bit confusing. Last time I just went with how the cervical mucus looked and I did fall pregnant so not sure if thats maybe a better method.

@Skl2021 gosh it really does fly! Does it feel like a year? Is it your first you're trying for? X

@Sparklesurprise29 I've always gone by CM but started with the OPKs as not sure where I am with everything after the MC. If you DTD today you should be covered. Good luck! X
