Just a thread for any ladies ttc after a miscarriage! Nice to get some support from people going through the same thing. So I had a MMC at ten weeks nearly three weeks ago now. I'm still getting faint positive on tests. My ovulation tests are still all over the place possibly due to the HCG still being in my system. So not totally accurate right now. So I'm currently stuck in limbo land either waiting for ovulation or my period 🤔 any ladies want to join the journey?!?!

Thank you!! It's really is rubbish, isn't it!! After a year TTC I thought we'd finally cracked it, but it's back to the drawing board instead...

I'm a bit nervous about trying again before AF arrives, but I know there's no real reason no to start once you've had the negative pregnancy test. Any advice from those of you who are further along than me? Did you wait or crack straight on? Any advice welcome so I can start gearing myself up!

Hopingforarainbow27 · 22/12/2021 21:23

I waited a few months to try get healthy as I wasn't sure what caused the miscarriage so I wanted to make sure I did everything possible to have a healthy womb etc but everyone is different. It depends what your reasons for miscarriage are. Mine could have been bad quality eggs/sperm so I've focused on eating well etc to improve this.

FieldView · 22/12/2021 21:32

That's useful, thanks. There's nothing obvious that I can put my finger on. I'm 34 and my DH is 42 and as we'd been trying for (nearly) a year I've had my bloods checked and DH has had a sperm count = all ok. I've worked on eating better and losing the excess weight during 2021, and I don't smoke and rarely drink. I've been told it's just "one of those things".

I was thinking of investing in some his'n'hers conception multivitamins though... but I think I read somewhere that they can meddle with your cycle a bit?!

It really is a minefield isn't it!

Hopingforarainbow27 · 22/12/2021 21:58

I know the midwife told me it's just bad luck. I spoke to a Chinese medicine dr and she asked me loads of questions about my cycle and if I have cold feet (bad circulation) etc and she advised I wait and take some herbal medicine to get my womb as healthy as possible for a baby to live in for 9months. My periods have been less painful and pms has completely gone so I'm hoping I get a bfp and it sticks next time. I will never know why or if any of this worked but at least I tried my best.

@FieldView welcome and I'm so sorry for your loss...xx

claremc1983 · 23/12/2021 08:55

Ladies how did you find your first AF after MC. Mine seemed to turn up at around 4/5 weeks after. I was a bit crampy which I don't normally get, i had a reasonably heavy flow for 4 days. Then a little bit of spotting but this morning it seems to be a heavier flow again. WTF 😳 is this normal? I just want to get back to normal and start TTC...argh x

Sparklesurprise29 · 23/12/2021 09:15

@claremc1983 its typical isn't it! The best times to DTD always seem to fall at the most awkward timesGrin
@FieldView so sorry for your lossFlowers I used the seven seas conception vitamins prior to falling pg but it did happen quickly (cycle 2) so I only know they didn't affect the length of cycle 1 which stayed at my regular 29 days. It feels sad going back to conception vitamins rather than the pregnancy ones I started after getting pg but feeling hopeful Flowers
@Hopingforarainbow27 what medicine did she recommend? I do struggle with cold feet, hands etc. Anything is worth a shot maybe

@Sparklesurprise29 look about Ginsen on Instagram and also The Hormonal Health Coach on Instagram. A lot of what they say makes so much sense!

Hopingforarainbow27 · 23/12/2021 09:34

Up**

Hopingforarainbow27 · 23/12/2021 09:35

You can get a free consultation with Ginsen via WhatsApp so it's really good.

Hopingforarainbow27 · 23/12/2021 10:20

@Sparklesurprise29 one of the main things I took from it was of your body is cold then your blood won't flow properly to all your organs. For example when you have cold hands you can't move them very well? So the aim is to warm the uterus and get good blood flow!

Skl2021 · 23/12/2021 12:18

@claremc1983 it just sounds like your body is still adjusting. May just take a little longer to get back to normal. I know it's frustrating when u want to get back to it and your body doesn't want to! Hopefully it settles soon. My first period was exactly the same as normal I was expecting the worse! However I think my second when it arrives might be different! IV had pains on and off for days already! X

Hi everyone, just checking in! Sorry to see some new names on this thread - hope your TTC journeys are short ones but we’re all in this together Flowers

I’m 8DPO and currently resisting the urge to test! It’s tempting, but I’m going to wait until my period is due as I don’t really like testing early. No symptoms at the moment except a LOT of discharge (sorry TMI!) which I noticed when I was pregnant last time - not getting my hopes up though!

@Skl2021 how are you? Did you test again? Has AF arrived properly?

@claremc1983 sorry to hear your body is messing with you again! My first period after miscarriage was definitely a bit heavier and a bit more painful. I’m sure it’s just all your hormones needing time to settle back down.

Hope everyone is ready for Christmas, keeping my fingers crossed for some Christmas BFPs 🤞🏻

Skl2021 · 23/12/2021 13:00

@JuniperAndTonic sounds promising I don't know how your resisting testing! I started around 7 dpo 🙈🤦 I also was very wet when I got my bfp! I'm doing ok I had a breakdown and cry yesterday but I'm a bit better today. Just a shit journey to be on it's hard when you want something so much and it doesn't happen! I tested this morning I'm 12 dpo and negative so just waiting for af now. Should be here tomorrow! Merry Christmas to me 🙄 xx

@Skl2021 it really does. I hadn't cried for a couple of weeks and I think that helped ✨ x

Hhdxx · 23/12/2021 15:17

Hey,
I posted on here a few weeks ago and wondered if I could have some advice off you lovely ladies.
So last year I had a placental abruption with my daughter who sadly passed away after 2 days. It took me 18 months to conceive with her.
After 12 months of TTC for a rainbow, I finally fell pregnant. Sadly, last Thurs i had to have a medically managed miscarriage at 9 weeks as it wasn't progressing.
I'm still bleeding a week later and have been told I need blood tests go check for sticky blood in 6 weeks time. I'm just so desperate to TTC again.
I'm still testing positive on pregnancy tests which I guess is normal?
Has anybody had anything similar?
Xxx

chasingtherainbow1 · 23/12/2021 15:21

@claremc1983 I think my periods were quite a lot heavier than normal for about 3 months after mc. Then they went really light for 2 months and now they seem to be back to normal. Hoping this means our chance of a rainbow baby might come soon!

I have a little cry every now and again. Your body needs it to get rid of toxins. If I ever feel like crying, I just go ahead and do it.

Hopingforarainbow27 · 23/12/2021 15:33

@Hhdxx I'm so sorry your going through this x

Hopingforarainbow27 · 23/12/2021 15:34

@Hhdxx I tested positive for a good while after mc. Maybe 3weeks

JuniperAndTonic · 23/12/2021 16:08

Awww @claremc1983 and @Skl2021 I think a good cry is good for all of us sometimes! This is such an emotional rollercoaster. Big virtual hugs from me 🤗 Flowers

claremc1983 · 23/12/2021 16:20

Thanks @chasingtherainbow1 our chance will definitely come xx

claremc1983 · 23/12/2021 16:22
