Yippeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations!!! You really deserve this BFP, enjoy it

I didn't get any morning sickness for a while and I had a very healthy twin pregnancy so I don't think everyone gets it or gets it straight away

PicknMix · 13/01/2008 13:22

DG I'm sending this from mobile as couldn't wait til i get home to say CONGRATULATIONS!! I actually had a little tear in my eye when i read your post - you've wanted this for ages and you really deserve it. I feel like we've been in this together since the beginning so am so pleased to see a 'founder member' get a bfp!!

mibbes · 13/01/2008 14:13

OMG DG I am soo pleased for you - like I said the other day you really deserve this with your nasty long cycles ! Hurray Glad you are sticking arund for a bit - you'll have to do a handover of the ttc knowledge so that we can cope without you ! You have given me loads of invaulabe advice and info - thanks !

I know that I am also a relative newbie (only on these threads since Nov and been lurking since Oct) but I agree that the waiting room (which was my fave thread) has got a bit crowded and even rowdy ! Still posting on both though and definitely don't think you should take it to heart Twinkling, I'm sure they're a nice bunch, just a little over-excited

Anyway there are still 5 more dream-BFPs to go so have fingers croseed one is me - am heading into "late" territory as CD35 and usually have 32-35 day cycles. Mild cramps but no spotting or signs of af atall. Told dp last night that was late and he said we should wait 3 or 4 days then test. Trouble is I am going to give blood on Tue so really need to know by then... Actually starting to get nervous as I know if I pee on that stick and a line appears my life will be turned upside down andwon't be able to think of anything else...

coolkat · 13/01/2008 14:20

DG that is brilliant news. So deserved. X

Been following from a distance so could not not post.

Hope your all well, stll waiting AF here.... want her so can start again!!

'See' you all soon I hope.

JollyBear · 13/01/2008 15:53

Wowsers!!! DG many, many congratulations cycle buddy. I could not be more happy for you.

Do stay around! We all need your TTC expertise!!!!!!

LuckyBucky · 13/01/2008 16:06

Right, I have spoken to DG and have banned her from leaving the thread . Besides, what would we all do without the ttc guru . So I have laid down the law . Congratulations DG biggest hugs in the world to you. Mrs Ei your fortune telling skills obviously rock .

Me, well, I have a confession...I tested. It was yesterday at lunchtime with the v. cheapy Ebay test (bits of paper you dip in to pee) but was a v. definite BFN. So I am pretty sure I am out this month. Do have cramps though and felt sick ALL day today, but its more likely to be the Norovirus than a baby in my case! Who's next then???? How exciting....

ScaryHairy · 13/01/2008 17:32

Flip, bloody fertility friend has changed its mind and decided that I ovulate 2 days later than it previously thought (so am now only on 6DPO and not 8DPO anymore). It has also downgraded my chances this cycle from "high" to "good" (AKA forgetaboutit).
Am v cross, as I thought this might be the one.

I have got sore nips and cramps, am starving and am being absolutely foul to DH. My temp went up again this morning and I can only manage one solitary glass of wine. Now if those aren't PG symptoms, what the 'eck are???

Mrs Ei - Dream about me tonight, please. There's a dear.

ScaryHairy · 13/01/2008 17:35

Sorry about BFN Bucky.
Do you think you might have tested a bit too soon?

digitalgirl · 13/01/2008 18:02

bucky I still have my fingers firmly crossed for you, you have still got a good chance. and as you pointed out earlier, yes there's a typo in my BFP announcement, I'm 10dpo not CD10, I'm actually CD33 today...after scaling the dizzy heights of CD50 I'm surprised to know anything this early on in my cycle.

SH I had the SAME thing with FF, pushed me back a couple of days saying I'd ov'ed two days later than originally thought. Coupled with your glaring symptoms, perhaps it's a sign! Keep an eye on those temps.
Now SH, as a fellow N Londoner did you have DD at Whittington or somewhere else? I've heard awful things about Whittington's post-natal care, unless you have a dramatic labour in which case they're brilliant.

Just wanted to say a MASSIVE Congratulations and good luck xxxxxxxxx

(I was on the TTC SEP thread) xxxxx

mibbes · 13/01/2008 18:19

Bucky sorry you got BFN but hopefully yu were just impatient and tested too early - fingers crossed .
It is great to see that DG's BFP has lifted the mood and we are all feeling positive again . Let's hope the coning week brings a few more.
Twinkling hope tomorrow goes as well as possible and that it takes your mind off testing. Will be thinking of you.

ScaryHairy · 13/01/2008 19:09

DG we were living in Fulham then so I went to Queen Charlotte's.

A friend had her son at the Whittington in 2007. He was born a little after midnight and the hospital were all set to send her home the same day until she pointed out that she hadn't get got the hang of breastfeeding so she stayed in another night. She didn't have the easiest pregnancy and they did take good care of her medical needs.

From what I've heard, post-natal care seems to be the "poor cousin" of obstetrics across London. Even at QC they were underresourced and there was one midwife in particular on the post-natal wards who was a total nightmare (and a bitch to boot). I was in for nearly a week and was ready to throttle her by the time I left!

Anyway, you've got heaps of time to prepare and to figure out what sort of birth you want, so don't stress about it. You will be fine wherever you go.

Hey - if I get my BFP we can go for ante-natal classes together!

abbyscoffedallthemincepiesmeg · 13/01/2008 19:29

Have been floating about the thread in a secretive manner, hoping that maybe if I don't obsess as much that I may actually get BFP...

Until...

DG What absolutely fantastic news!!! I am so happy for you. . Many, many congratulations XXXX

So in a week, I'll either be back properly, pg or not. We shall see...

Babydust and hugs to everyone .
