Come in, take your heels off and get cosy!

Mrsei and me and me was my name there too? But for next month

Scary Thanks I will sort a thermometer over the weekend and start temping asap.

My friend is lending me her Clearblue Fertility Monitor tomorrow so I'll need some sticks for that too, Boots profits again! I'm going all out with the temping and monitor I will know my body better than it knows itself

MrsEi25 · 11/01/2008 23:13

hi girls just thought id let you all know i just popped the loo and that stupid cow AF has arrived so il count tomorrow as CD1 cycle 3 ah well back to the grind...(pardon the pun!!) for me again on the up side though at least i know what is happenin now!!

xx ei xx

digitalgirl · 11/01/2008 23:31

aw mrsei - sorry Af kept you hanging like that. Fwiw it sounds like you've got a great doctor. I'll try and dream up a BFP for you too!

MTW you can start temping anytime, but if you think you ov early, then try and get some of your temp range before ov day. the first cycle of temping will seem confusing so if you can (which I know will be hard) try to just record the temps and not to read too much into each day's change. it'll be much easier to interpret your chart at the end of the cycle (hopefully that won't be necessary because you'll have a bfp).

Big wave to bucky glad you've been kept busy at this rate we'll have to meet up in Feb for when I get back from hols (and when GG's back too!)

fairy you keep twinkling if you like it. it still works for jan, it's not like you're called xmastreefairy.

OP posts:
twinklingfairy · 11/01/2008 23:58

ooh, can you dream about me too mrsei?
Imagine if you do get a BFP this month DG that will be spooky.

Yeah, I think I will keep on twinkling for a wee while longer yet

Got ants in my pants tonight just can't seem to settle at all.
Ooh (again) is going off wine a symptom? I sooo can't be bothered with it anymore. But still like a good swig of DH's beer, though FIL did have to by me non-alcoholic when I was pregnant with DD cos I liked it throughout. But defo off the wine.

(.)(.)'s have been tingling tonight too, but that could be cos I am cold. I know, clutching at straws or what!!
How you doing HattyYellow? You must be tearing your hair out by now, you were going mad at 3dpo, weren't you?
6dpo now, my LP is norm about 11 days, so only 5 to go.

Granddad's funeral is on Monday and I won't be able to get to a computer until back home again on Tuesday, so that will certainly take my mind of it.

Thank you mrsei for saying you would think of me

My mum will be checking on me too. She said yesterday what a start to the new year this was, what with Granddad passing on, my dad has been given a promotion, she is waiting for my good news now
no pressure there then heehee

twinklingfairy · 12/01/2008 00:02

Bu$$er abut TEW's arrival mrsei that is so annoying. I had one of those long cycles when we first started trying too. Though I had lots of wateryCM so I think, now, it may have been a CP
But it is poo when you just want to know what is going on then, when you get your answer (AF's arrival) you wished you hadn't asked

MrsEi25 · 12/01/2008 00:08

yeah twinkling tell me about it!!
she seems to have started straight away at full flow just to get on my nerves aswell!! i usually get at least a day or two of spotting beforehand but noooo not this time i was thinking about starting with OPK's this month so i can get a better picture of what my cycles are like but DH is dead against it has anyone else had this kinda 'brick wall' reaction to their suggestion on OPK's??

mibbes · 12/01/2008 09:09

Morning MrsEi ! I think it was a few days ago on this thread where a lot of us admitted that we were "secret opkers" as we didn't want to scare/pressure OHs ! My dp had no idea I used them but they didn't give me a +ve anyway. My advice would be to start several days earlier than you think you ovulate as I may have missed mine.. I know they are expensive but it is a complete waste of money if you miss the egg because you started them too late! I plan to chart temps next month as I feel that this will give a far more accurate picture of whether there are eggs hatching or not - apparently opks can be a bit unreliable for some ladies.

mibbes · 12/01/2008 09:30

Actually MrsEi it was the waiting room thread on Mon where we all admitted we hadn't told OHs about opks. Does he need to know you are using them ? Or would you feel too bad now given that he has expressly said he is against...? Posted about af for you in waiting room - grrrr she is a witch teasing you like that.

twinkling will be thinking of you on Monday - I sooo have my fingers crossed that after all that sadness you get a pleasant surprise next week - tingly boobs sounds promising - but ikwym about the cold - I am in Scotland too and it is like a winter womderland today - quite beautiful though . Love the twinkling name - keep it !

MOB have you read Zita West's book ? There are loads of tips in there of what to eat if you plan to alter your diet to help ttc. Hope you are feeling better about things

DG - oohh lucky you being name-checked in the pregnancy dream - let's hope it is true as you truly deserve it after those evil long cycles

Bucky when do you plan to test - wioll you wait until you are late first ?

Still no af here but still getting ocassional very mild cramp, slightly tingly boobs and dehydration (only had a couple of vinos last night - honest !). Am starting to let my hopes rise as day 34 with no spotting in unusual for me... bet she comes now that I've said that

ScaryHairy · 12/01/2008 10:18

When is AF due mibbes? (or how many dpo are you?)

7dpo here and this morning DD accidentally smacked me in the boob and my goodness it hurt. am telling myself that it is normal, run-of-the-mill progesterone, but...

Ei my DH doesn't get an option of being for or against any of this, since it is my cycles that are all over the place and his role is simply to show up when I tell him!

mibbes · 12/01/2008 14:26

Hi ScaryHairy - I have no idea how many dpo I am as no +ve opk this cycle. Either missed the egg and am 20dpo(ish), ddin't ovulate and body is being rubbish or opk didn't regiester in which case still have no idea. Will probably test in the next day or so once have told dp am late - we agreed to stop using contraception in a "see hwat happens" kind of a way as I told him it could take a year - he'll be in shock when I tell him I'm late so am a bit worried about telling him...

mibbes · 12/01/2008 14:27

OMG my typing is so rubbish

LuckyBucky · 12/01/2008 14:40

Hi there everyone . Glad to see a bit of action this weekend. The weekends are usually really quiet on here. Am of DG being in Mrs Ei's dream although if it comes true it will be soooo cool.

Today I have been mostly doing my compulsory jewellery shopping . For those of you who don't know I was burgled a few months ago. The valuation for all my jewellery came through and they sent me a bond. The only thing I can buy with it is jewellery so I had to have this ridiculous 'pretty woman in the clothes shop' experience at Goldsmiths this morning. I just couldn't bring myself to buy things for the sake of it though so only got through half of it and I was in there 2.5 hours . I think all my family are going to end up with jewellery for birthdays and christmas this year!!

07MTW I have been planning on temping for a couple of months now and haven't got my thermometer yet either. I might order one today and then we can learn all about it together . And Mibbes I am not going to bother testing, as I didn't really BD at the right time this month. There is a small possibility because I did BD on the night I got my on my OPK but I didn't do it the next night which I think is more important.....

Fairy I think you should Twinkle on too...it sounds pretty.

fingers crossed for you both. {wink]

LuckyBucky · 12/01/2008 14:40

dg when do you go on hols?

digitalgirl · 12/01/2008 14:55

How funny, that whenever you've got the money to spend there's never ANYTHING you want, yet when you've blown all your money before the next payday suddenly everything looks gorgeous!

Am away from the 26th for 10 days, we're going to Mauritius

Am sitting on my hands (when not typing) trying not to think about tests or CDs or DPOs. Doesn't help that I've got really bad cramps and sore boobs.

twinklingfairy · 12/01/2008 22:17

hmmf thats the second time I have put a post on the ttc thread and not been acknowledge.
I even updated the list and not a word of thanks
AIBU??

Feel like taking myself off the bleedin thing and therefore off the list, so I won't bother updating it for them again
IABU aren't I?

Just feels like a personal snub
Stupid in'it?

twinklingfairy · 12/01/2008 22:17

Ooh, just had to add, my (.)(.)'s are a little sore tonight

LuckyBucky · 12/01/2008 22:22

Hi there Fairy. Whilst I don't think you are being unreasonable, because i rarely post there now and when I do I too feel invisible, I do think you shouldn't take it personally. Like I said, they ignore me too. There are lots of new people over there, and I guess they don't know how fabulous we are . What are you up to tonight?

sore boobies fairy do you normally get those before AF or is that a symptom? Please don't take yourself off the list...how will I be able to check up on where you are in your cycle?

shreksmissus Like bucky said, I think it's just there are a lot of newbies in the waiting room who are really excited to join the ttc threads and don't realise that some of us have been here a few months longer and deserve and bit more respect!

OP posts:
digitalgirl · 13/01/2008 00:02

oh and these cramps are really bad now . i fear AF will arrive overnight.

night all

OP posts:
ScaryHairy · 13/01/2008 08:09

twinkling - don't take it personally. I'm sure noone means to upset you, but there are lots of people on that thread and it can be a bit hard to follow.

shreksmissus, sorry to hear you are feeling cross, but I'm not suprised those pictures made you laugh. I stumbled across them a while ago too and they made me snort my orange juice.

DG - I still have my fingers crossed for you. When I conceived DD I was totally convinced AF was coming as the cramps were so bad, even worse than normal.

8 DPO here and temp has gone up a bit more. Trying very hard not to get my hopes up...

ScaryHairy · 13/01/2008 08:11

Forgot to wave back at Bucky

07mumstheword · 13/01/2008 11:09

twinkling & Shrek I think the others are right because I've lost track of the waiting room. There are so many newbies and us old veterans are a bit out of it. I tend to use this thread as we are all so familiar.
Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

DG Thanks for that great advice I think just recording my temps for one month and then (if no BFP!) at the end of my cycle work out what it all means.

Bucky I still haven't managed to get to Boots for my thermometer! I will try today. I think I'm going to do what DG suggested and just record my temps this month so I don't go confusing myself too soon.

I'm CD29 today and still no AF. BFN again on Friday (silly silly me held onto hope that Tues test was just too early will I ever learn? ) so I know she's coming.

digitalgirl · 13/01/2008 11:12

MrsEI MrsEi you're dream was right!!!!!

I got a BFP and on CD10 too...how ridiculous is that?

Terrified, excited and trying to remain pragmatic about this all, after all I'm not even due AF yet so it could still come.

So...symptoms were mild AF cramps and tender boobs starting at about 6dpo, got increasingly more intense every day. Constipation the last couple of days. Feeling a bit sick after eating a pizza last night, but wondering if that's because it was quite late and I'd had a glass of wine

I've been drinking the odd glass of wine all through this 2ww, first it was DH's birthday, then I met up with some friends during the week, then yesterday the cramps were quite bad so I thought I'd have a glass to distract me.

Hope you don't mind, but I'm going to hand around for a bit. I feel like this is my home on MN and it's far too early to migrate to the ante-natal threads...especially as some of them are quite a few weeks in and are all suffering MS. I've just wolfed down a massive breakfast of pancakes, eggs and bacon
