Come in, take your heels off and get cosy!

Everything's a sympton!

In the past hour I have had fun imagining nausea (poss down to eating a sandwich, a bag of crisps, 2 satsumas, some celebrations and 3 mini toffee waffles), pulling feeling across lower stomach (think this may have been expansion due to mini waffles etc) and needing to pee (I also drank a starbucks and about a pint of water with my feast). Imagining symptons is so much more fun than having real ones and wondering what's causing them!

JollyBear · 21/12/2007 16:39

I probably won't be about much now with visiting relatives, festive fun and the like, so I just wanted to wish everyone a super Christmas and I hope we have lots of Christmas and new year BFPs. Good luck to all those testing!

DH and I are going to be trying to make a baby over Christmas , fingers crossed for all those doing the same!

Merry Christmas everybody!

Hopefully you are so right! I've got a funny feeling in my toe... and that's clearly a sign that I'm pregnant for sure!

hedgepig · 21/12/2007 22:08

Excitable I'm sure funny feelings in toes are a sign, probably caused by the the blood flow being diverted to the womb .

I have tooth ache I wonder if that is a symptom too?

PicknMix · 22/12/2007 11:56

Hi all,

Sorry no time to read through so massive apologies if I've missed anything.

Had huge shocking news that best friends father was killed in car accident on Friday night.

Will try and catch up in a min, just wanted to make sure you're all ok

x

Excitable · 22/12/2007 17:14

PicknMix - are you okay? Did you know him well? What awful news to get at this time of year.

Thanks Hopefully and Hedgepig for being my partners in crime. I am thoroughly enjoying pretending I'm pregnant. Our Christmas is often quite boring as we have one of those families where lots of people have died fairly recently and everyone is still reeling from it, so it makes me happy to think I have a nice secret. I'll test at New Years, which will be fun anyway, so I won't need cheering up in the same way.

Our family quite clearly needs a baby at Christmas to perk things up - actually I need a baby quite badly now. I know that it might not be this month, but I am fully prepared to be just as excitable next month - this is certainly better than when there was no chance of a baby... I wanted a baby for years but DH didn't, so even the possibility excites me. At least, it does today.

Excitable · 23/12/2007 11:23

Still excited, even if I am on my own in here. Had a really lucid dream last night about shoes. I got really fixated about my shoes in my dream last night. I dreamed I lost my shoes, had to walk some distance without shoes to buy new shoes, but when I got to the nearest shoe shop, I couldn't focus on the shoes and they kept turning into the ugliest shoes I had ever seen and sometimes they were slippers, which I didn't need at all (anyone still with me?). Lastly, it was very important to me that DH didn't notice I had new shoes.

So this morning, I looked up on a dream dictionary website about shoes and this is what it said:

"If you are changing your shoes, then it refers to your changing roles. You are taking a new approach to life. If your forget your shoes, then it suggests that you are leaving restraints behind you. You are refusing to conform to some idea or attitude.

"If the shoes are new, then it suggests that you are overconfident in your success. Alternatively you may be on a life path that is unfamiliar to you.

"To dream that you are wearing inappropriate shoes for the activity at hand, denotes that your progress and path in life will be laborious and ill-prepared. It may also indicate that you are heading in the wrong direction and need to reevaluate your goals.

"To dream that you are not wearing any shoes, signifies that you have a lack of confidence in yourself and low self-assurance. You may be dealing with issues concerning your self-identity. Thus if you dream that you lose your shoes, then it suggests that you may be searching for your identity and finding/exploring who you are."

Wow! I didn't expect it to fit my situation so exactly! That's just bonkers! I'm not sure that it means that I'm pregnant this month, although I still think I am, but it certainly shows how I feel about this change in my life quite well.

Disclaimer: I don't actually believe in this stuff. Only when it suits me, obviously

digitalgirl · 23/12/2007 21:43

picknmix that's such tragic news, makes you appreciate what you have in the here and now.

excitable perhaps you should buy some new shoes in the sales. i think that's what your subconscious is trying to tell you.

have been a bit ill lately (explains the weird dreams), but still managed to get a bit of BD'ing in . was wondering whether we should try and not overdo the bd'ing so early on, but it's xmas and I promised myself I'd not be a slave to my cycle and just go with the flow for a while.

so here's to a snuggly xmas and a rockin' new year!

5DPO- niggly mild cramps. its either wind or AF ALREADY!!!!

Hope everybody else is good

twinklingfairy · 23/12/2007 22:47

excitable You got me looking up my dreams on the web too!!

I had a very strange dream the other night. I dreamt that I lost my two front teeth, because I had not flossed enough and when I did, they were loose and then just slipped straight out!
The dream anyliser (sp?) said that ,

To dream of rotten teeth shows that you have been telling someone a lie or using your smooth words for getting your own way no matter what. If your teeth are rotten, crooked, and/or falling out this means that your lies are hurting someone very badly and that you will soon be found out.

It's not true!! I haven't been telling anyone any lies!! Feel a bit upset about it now]

I know, it is all a load of old rubbish, but all the same!?

Oh, hang on, another one says

To dream that you have rotten or decaying teeth, forewarns that your health and/or business is in jeopardy. You may have uttered some false or foul words and those words are coming back to haunt you.

Oh, god! It's my health isn't it!?
It is going to take even longer for me to get baby #2, isn't it!!

twinklingfairy · 23/12/2007 22:48

5dpo, niggly cramps, oooh could be implantation M2O, far too soon for AF

mummy2olivia · 23/12/2007 23:11

OOOH twinklingfairy- dont tease!!!

I always seem to get a few niggles about now so I'm presuming that this month is the same as all others- ie a fail!!!

Dont know what else can do to make it happen- have BD'd for 4 days up to and including O this month and its already feeling the same as all other months.

Was even contemplating agnus Castus- have started a thread on it- but think I've been talked out of it.

And heres hopi ng its not your health!!

Excitable · 24/12/2007 09:50

Twinklingfairy I'm really no expert on dreams - it's not something I've looked into very much at all, but I have a friend who's an accountant who spent about a year dreaming about her teeth falling out, and when she looked into it, she found an explanation that it was money worries. This holds true for her, as she is always thinking about her money and how best to save/invest it. Could this explanation mean more to you?

Mummy2 - it's not over until the fat red lady sings, you know. Sweetkitty had no symptoms at all and was pregnant, so you never know... This whole process reminds me of job interviews, you can give the performance of your life and still not get the gig. There's just nothing fair about it at all, but it will happen, you know.

I have the weirdest tits today. If I wasn't about to go away for christmas, I'd be starting a thread called wtf is wrong with my tits. The nipples feel like they've been twisted in that trick that nasty boys used to play at your school, but, like that happened all day and my boobs feel like they are made of lead shot, they're so heavy! I couldn't lie on my side in bed last night because they were so uncomfortable - I do hope it's a sign.

Anyway, I won't be able to post while I'm away, so I hope you all have a fab Christmas and I'll be back just before the new year...

Merry Christmas everyone.
I'm waiting for DS to wake! Next year I don't think there'll be any holding him back and he'll be waking a 5 month old into the bargain ha ha!
Hope everyone has a lovely day. and the added bnous of some BFPs.

ScaryHairy · 25/12/2007 12:14

Hi everyone. I hope you are enjoying Christmas. DD has received everything a one year old could want and has passed out from excitement, so I thought I would take a moment to share my embarassing hellish ttc moment with you all...

DH, DD and I were staying at PILs until yesterday. I have been charting religiously and so DH decided to bring my notebook with us to PIL's house. I should add that I had been planning to leave it at home as it is early in my cycle - I figured missing a few days wouldn't matter. Anyway, the front page came off and did not make it back home with us, so PILs now have a page of my scrawl detailing temps, cm, cervical position , graphic descriptions of my period, waffle about sore nips etc etc. It also says when we had sex.
Oh dear God.
It's just as well their English isn't great, but still...

meglet · 26/12/2007 12:51

Happy Boxing Day everyone!

I am going to stay on this thread for a week or so. No actual physical symptoms as yet, but I am an emotional wrck and bursting into tears at everything! Tragically including "once in royal davids city" at church on xmas eve . So maybe my hormones have gone bonkers. Will be testing NY day.

ClairePO · 27/12/2007 12:00

Hello Ladies, hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Here to join you as I'm now in the 2ww.

readyfornum2 · 27/12/2007 12:43

Hi Ladies
I have been lurking for a while as I have been broody for number 2 for months now but didnt think DP was ready.
Anyway after DS (18 months) was ill just before christmas we got talking about how we are so lucky to have him (he wasnt planned and was a big shock but a happy one) and I mentioned giving him a sibling in the future and DP agreed that we could start trying now

Unfortunately I think we missed the boat this month as we decided about a week after I ov'd
so unless we have another big shock I am looking forward to AF arriving so that I can start obsessing about symptoms with the rest of you
