And yet, hedgepig, if we were to beat them, it would be us who would go to prison . Have to be careful as DH used to cycle everywhere. I think this is probably why he didn't rough-up the offender this afternoon - secret sympathy for the bloke!

hedgepig · 15/12/2007 19:56

I know and it was on my insurance cos cyclists don't have to have any. When I lived in Cambridge I cycled every where but didn't damage anyones car, and stopped for red lights etc.

OH well all over now,

to symptoms!!! I am getting craps but way too early for AF. CD15 I OVed on day 12. Trying not to get too excited. Must go and put DS to bed it's so late.

digitalgirl · 15/12/2007 20:28

pixie great to hear from you. glad to hear things are moving on for you to help make it easier for when you get back on the ttc wagon. hope your 'talk' with DH is all positive too. take care of yourself.

bucky sorry to hear you think AF is on her way...do you normally get spotting and cramps before?

and sorry to hear of the BFNs abby & mtw - but there's still time!

thanks for the symptoms list poppysocks good luck with your pregnancy. please drop in from time to time and let us know how it's going.

well nothing to report here on CD4. DH and I cracked and decided to break our 'no presents because we're going on holiday in Jan' rule and get each other stocking fillers only. I got a couple of extra days freelancing this week, so I felt that I couldn't really stick to the original deal.

Sorry for childish rant. I am lovely really PG friend rang to ask if symptoms she was having meant mc. Lovely. No they weren't, just panic.

digitalgirl · 15/12/2007 21:04

rant away sandies! probably the pg hormones...so, testing Tuesday eh? when's AF due?

Hi DG. CD 24 - not sure of cycle, very long and complicated story. I don't know what test to use.....

digitalgirl · 15/12/2007 21:38

sandies do you know when/if you ovulated? I hear boots own brand are rubbish (tend to not work), but the rest are all pretty much the same. Clearblue and First Response are pretty reliable (some of the cheaper tests turn 'positive' after an hour or so...).

I know all about long and complicated cycles, so feel free to spill the beans if you want

I went to the hospital a few months ago as I keep getting an abnormal smear and periods have become longer and heavier so they tested for the old bird disease-menopause. Before I got the results I got a BFP - after 6 years of trying. Part 2 to follow in a minute - you asked for it

Sandies · 15/12/2007 22:00

Poor DG, story unfolds. Pg clearly not 'right' and had to go to hospital many times. Eventually scan showed no progression but body most unwilling to part with it. D&C followed, and confusion!! First period 25 days then brown gunge, 31 days the most hideous blood loss known to women kind. Now 22 days then brown gunge and very tearful. Disappointment I think, rather than pg. Part 3 in a min

digitalgirl · 15/12/2007 22:03

do you mean period was 25 days long then brown gunge? or on day25?
sounds painful sandies

Sandies · 15/12/2007 22:05

Pretended all was well and mc 'one of those things' to friend. She is due within days to my ex due date. Did such a good job of convincing her that I'm ok that she feels fine to ring me and ask advice. I have told everyone that I have no intention of getting pg again. Bored yet?

Sandies · 15/12/2007 22:08

CD 25 = brown gunge CD31 heavy blood. What a lovely tale for a happy Sat night. Thanks for listening.x

hedgepig · 15/12/2007 22:14

Sandies petal, poor you. I'm being a bit dim here but are you on the 2nd brown gunge now? After the heavy blood on CD31? Is it a lot of gunge or more like spotting?

Sandies · 15/12/2007 22:18

Gunge is just spotting. Heaving bleeding =CD1 CD 22=brown gunge CD 31 = heavy bleed again. Sorry, I didn't explain it well.x

digitalgirl · 15/12/2007 22:31

poor you sandies...
so it's currently normal for you to have 8 days of spotting before AF comes then?
doesn't sound right to me. is it worth going back to the docs? you may have low progesterone...which can also cause m/c's. but i'm not a doctor, it's only something i read in a zita west book.

OP posts:
hedgepig · 15/12/2007 22:32

right i understand. I have noticed that in my dotage I get a spotting bleed pre-proper AF probably 3-5 days before so it could be just a drop in hormones prior to AF. Your body has been through a lot with the mc & dc . I do know how frustrating it is just to watch time running through your fingers.

As for your friend, if she is a good mate just be honest with her and say you are there for her but need support too (sorry that sound more Anne of Green Gables than I was hoping for )

Sandies · 15/12/2007 22:49

Friend needs help, not to feel bad. I'm a coper. DGS has made us aware how much love we still have to give. Teaching has also had an effect, perhaps it's time to foster and adopt. (although am too old for that now, I think!)

ScaryHairy · 15/12/2007 22:55

Sorry to hear you've been through it Sandies. Bucky - also sorry to hear you think AF is coming. I think mine is coming too (am very crampy) and am not surprised, but it still is annoying.

Re pg tests, I took a normal (non digital) Clearblue one yesterday which was negative at first bu then turned positive after an hour of sitting on a chest of drawers. So I took another one to be sure and this was neg also. My experience is that CB digital ones are the best because I liked having the result spelled out in letters.

ScaryHairy · 15/12/2007 22:57

OK that makes me sound like I am too stupid to read a couple of pink or blue lines, but you know what I mean!

BuckytheRedNosedReindeer · 15/12/2007 22:57

Goodnight all, just finished blubbing at XFactor...who knew??? Dark horse Leon has won!!

Anyway, quick update. I've still got superstrength cramps but spotting has stopped...for now. The cramps are so bad it feels like someone has stabbed me . If nothing in the morning I will test because today is the day AF was due, based on ov.

All very weird and we are getting our hopes up in camp Bucky. So not good!!! You know TEW is just teasing and will hijack me shortly and we will be gutted .

Sandies · 15/12/2007 23:04

Bless Scarey, I know what you mean. Going to bed now. xx

BuckytheRedNosedReindeer · 15/12/2007 23:06

Scary, I think the tests can go weird after the time they tell you to read them. Hence why there is a time limit, but all is not lost till AF pops round uninvited again and tries to rain on our parade! Fingers crossed for you.

Night night Sandies

BuckytheRedNosedReindeer · 15/12/2007 23:10

Oh sorry . Just saw loads of posts about how people don't want to know who won X Factor....oops. Really sorry if I spoiled it for anyone

Sandies · 15/12/2007 23:13

I would ask who came second.....

BuckytheRedNosedReindeer · 15/12/2007 23:17

I can be a big blabber mouth sometimes .
