Anyone else ttc #2?

My dd is 11 months old and we have decided that now is the time for number 2! My daughter took 18 months to conceive with a mmc in between, so I'm expecting a long journey. This is my first month and I'm on cd4.

Just to say I had absolutely ZERO symptoms before my BFP. So no need to stress if you don’t feel how you expected to feel. Every woman is different. The only reliable symptom is a positive pregnancy test :)

I was the same. Not a single symptom throughout my whole pregnancy really other than the growing belly! Kept thinking I had imagined the BFP for the first 12 weeks 😂

CD14 and my 5th flashing smiley... Just want to see a static one now!!

Yeah I struggle to tell what's going with OPK's too and whether I've missed ovulation! Hopefully you haven't!

I would still keep trying despite your SIL! if you get pregnant, great and you can have little ones together! If not, then you can just keep trying! Do they know you're currently trying?

@GreenFlipFlop well I realised earlier that the ovulation sticks I was using (from the deepest darkest part of my medical box) were 6 months out of date 😂. So who knows what's going on! I feel like if I don't get a positive, I'm counting this as a practise cycle, not cycle 1.

@Chanel05 I’ve just done the same thing. Found my clear blue digital OPK and tried using it thinking oh it will still work but the digital holder looks kaput.

I did it anyway and looking at the actual test strip I look like I’m ovulating? Or is it actually useless unless it’s in the holder?

Morning, forgot to take my temp 2 days in a row I'm so mad 😂 CD13 today & predicted to Ov in 4 days time! DTD last night anyway just incase she's early 😉 at work for a KIT day so no doubt I'll just read old threads all day 😂

@CBB2021 personally I think it's useless unless in the holder. But I would say you're defo ovulating with those lines!

Day 6 of flashing for me.... It's going to cost me a fortune the rate I'm going through these sticks! Starting to think I won't get a static this month but don't want to stop checking!

Morning everyone, please can I join this thread? Second month of TTC #1. My DS is 15 months old, it took us 13 months to conceive him. However I have had a chemical since he was born so aware it might not take us that long again - or we might have other issues.

I’m on CD14. Not tracking ovulation just yet other than keeping an eye on EWCM.

I'm feeling mega hormonal today but haven't been tracking ovulation. I could be between 5-8 days post-ovulation and DTD a few times within my (possibly) fertile window but tbh I think making the conscious decision to try for a second has just made me really broody .

I might try OPKs next month to get a bit more certainty around timing. But I also remember last time that my emotions became a little less intense as it became clear that the TTC process was taking some time.

I've never tried temping - how does that work? Thermometer is always close to hand these days with the whole covid/nursery situation, my 17month old took his own temperature this morning

@Hullabaloowho I’ve definitely got broodier since deciding to TTC, it’s like now I’ve decided I want another one I want one now! But I imagine it will wear off when it takes time again, I definitely don’t remember obsessing over it this much last time around. Also going to try OPKs next month, I don’t temp because I guarantee I would forget half the time and I think it’s only accurate if you do it religiously.

@Hullabaloowho I have the femometer app and their thermometer it automatically syncs to your phone. You literally take it when you wake up every morning before you do anything. You need about 3hours unbroken sleep for it to be accurate. I normally wake around 4am so I do
it then. It's only accurate if you do it religiously and I have forgot the last 2 days 🙄🙄 annoyed as I won't be able to confirm ovulation now ☹️

@Charl881 im the same we only decided about 2 weeks ago & I'm dying to be pregnant already 😂 I was obsessed last time so I'm trying to stay calm and not do OPKs or anything. But I would say next cycle I'll buy some CB ones 😂

@CBB2021 when I had a static on the clear blue before the lines were always positive on the stick.

Thanks @Charl881 and @whatsthecraic91 - I didn't realise you have to be so consistent with the temping. Might leave it as a reserve tactic for after the OPKs but that app sounds great!

And there's always the good old 'book tickets for a really boozy festival in May/June/July 2022 and just tempt fate' approach to TTC too 🤣

@Hullabaloowho we have a whole big family holiday booked for the start of May! It’s quite nice in a way because if I’m not pregnant by say December then at least I can think ‘oh well at least we can go on holiday!’

@Hullabaloowho I'd recommend laying off the temping for at least 6 months. I became obsessed and I mean obsessed last time and it just caused me so much stress 😬.

I've had 5 days flashing so far this cycle..we'll see what tomorrow brings!

@aoife0906 that is good to hear, hopefully I'm as lucky this time. DTD 4 out of the 6 days so far, just hope the missed day's aren't the crucial ones, I just don't have the stamina 😂 Hopefully we will get our statics soon!

Absolutely loads of EWCM this morning!! CD14 so maybe going to ovulate early this cycle 🤞🏼 give up on the temping now so I'll not know for sure how many DPO. But my app has changed it to today when I added I had EWCM 🤷‍♀️ maybe count 1DPO from Saturday 😃 so exciting

@whatsthecraic91 what app do you use? I had EWCM yesterday and Tuesday, none today, but my app hasn’t changed ovulation date from Tuesday. I’m thinking surely ovulation must have been today or yesterday so unsure when to count as 1dpo, today or tomorrow I guess!

@Charl881 I mostly use the Flo app. It had my predicted day as Sunday and it moved it to today when I logged my symptoms 🤷‍♀️ I also use femometer for my temp. what app do you use? It's so hard to know isn't it.

@Charl881 that is strange! My cycles haven't been consistent though, they are anything from 26-34days since I had my wee one just 8 months ago. Maybe that's why? Are your cycles fairly consistent?

@whatsthecraic91 no they’re a bit all over the place at the moment, last cycle I was a week late and just think I ovulated late which never happens and the cycle before that I think I had a chemical so that was a different length too. And I only stopped breastfeeding May so my cycles weren’t at all regular before then.

I keep reminding myself I know my body better than an app!

9DPO over here…and trying not to think about it. Hoping the clearblue opks this month gave us some luck 🤞🏼
