Anyone else ttc #2?

My dd is 11 months old and we have decided that now is the time for number 2! My daughter took 18 months to conceive with a mmc in between, so I'm expecting a long journey. This is my first month and I'm on cd4.

On one app im 1DPO, other app im due to ovulate Sunday 🤷‍♀️ im CD15 so gonna say im 1DPO today 😅 going to try and hold out until 16/17th sept.

At least this TWW won't be as painful as with my first as he will keep me busy 😂 not expecting to be pregnant on cycle 1

@Indianna2006 when are you going to test?

@whatsthecraic91 cycle day 15 here too and going with 1dpo! I didn’t use the OPKs properly this month, just have tried to DTD everyday 🤣

AF due around the 18th so will probs test same time as you! It’s a long wait but hopefully the little ones will keep us occupied.

@whatsthecraic91 I’ve tested too early other cycles and detest knowing I’m not pregnant and waiting even a day for AF!
I’ve been pregnant twice. One successful, one mc and both were positives by 12dpo so feel like if I test 12dpo and it’s negatives. I know I’m not pregnant!

Period usually turns up day after 12/13dpo. Tuesday is 13dpo so I’m gonna try hold out until then 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Praying I can go the weekend and not cave haha! Sooo tempting!

It’s anniversary of my dads death on Sunday..2 years without that amazing man in my life. So feel like it would be lovely to kniw I’m growing a new life..if that makes any sense. But deff not testing on Sunday. Too emotional..that will not help if it’s bloody negative!!! 🤯

@CBB2021 oh exciting testing buddies!! My temping failed miserably too so I'm annoyed not knowing the proper dpo.

We managed to DTD CD 9, 12 & 14. Don't know If I can manage again tonight or not. I get really sore around ovulation since I had my DS. Is anyone else the same? Might just DTD tomorrow night instead to cover incase I do ovulate Sunday.

@Indianna2006 cross post! Yea I'm the same I would rather wait to AF comes but I'll likely cave 😅 oh so sorry about your dad, definitely hold off until after Sunday, too many emotions xx

Urgh I can’t wait to TTC this month but I seem to be having the longest period ever 😂 it’s so light but dragging out so much!

@Indianna2006 my period is due in 2 days and I tested this morning, I couldn't resist! It was negative and now I've been bummed out all morning! The same superdrug test told me I was pregnant 4 days before my period with my first son so now just waiting for AF to show up 😭

@GreenFlipFlop aahhh I hate this!!! This is why I refuse to test early again. Just puts me in a right stinker. For some reason day AF comes in over it as it’s like day 1 again.

I’m not good between negative test but still waiting for AF. That bit sucks.

What dpo are you? I think any tests before 12dpo hard to day deff no. By 13dpo drastically a lot of false negatives are accounted for.

So I try wait for that day now to stop the “but it could be too early” bs I tell myself 😂😂

@Indianna2006 I think I'm 13DPO according to my Flo app! Annoyed cos we put in maximum effort this month whereas I can kinda see why it might not have happened in past months haha! I'm normally really good at waiting to test but I just really wanted it this month!
I've just desperately bought 30 OPK's off Ebay for £4 to try and maximise my chances for next month!

@GreenFlipFlop ahh that’s crap! Some people can still get negatives after that. But 13dpo usually would show something especially if a FRER. What did you test with?

I think sometimes you know for my yourself don’t you. Like twice before I’ve had positive by 12dpo. So if I get a negative at 13dpo I 100% believe I’m out.

I know what you mean..some months you’re annoyed you didn’t try harder. But then when you’ve got it spot on it still doesn’t happen 🙄

We deff hit peak and high days off my clearly blue ovulation thing. Dtd CD12/13/14 and I ovulated CD13 in the late evening as I felt it…but I’m expecting a negative again tbh…

@Indianna2006 It was with a superdrug test! I think I'm out now realistically though :(

Good luck for you this month though!! I've always wondered this..what is the best time to DTD? We mostly always do it in the evening but I wonder if there's like a optimal time of day?

@GreenFlipFlop ahh I’ve never used Superdrug ones so not sure what miu sensitivity they are.

Hmm me either lol. Don’t think time of day matters. Guess at night you’ve got more chance you’ll stay flat which supposedly helps a little although I never did that the time I fell pregnant first time.

It’s just pot luck sometimes isn’t i think. Scientifically it all has to laugh 🤞🏼 Just annoying waiting for that to happen!

@Indianna2006 I'm cd 20 due on AF Sep 13th and trying desperately to hold out until then to test though I'm not hugely optimistic as haven't been doing OPKs so all wild guesswork.

An extremely close friend has just announced her second pregnancy today so I'm hoping there's something in the air.

Last time my lucky test was a Poundland multipack 😂 and think I tested before AF, I had shocking morning sickness very quickly though so reckon I must have had strong hormones!

Hope AF keeps away for all those close to end of TWW!

I'm still getting flashing so going to give up wasting my tests as don't think peak is coming! Don't think I ovulated this month which is no good! Going to keep DTD every other day just in case ovulation is late as my cycles tend to be a bit all over the place but will be waiting for AF to show up so we can start the next cycle.

AF arrived this morning 😭
Staying positive though, there's always next month and I've got my ovulation sticks in the post! Also got DS1 who is a real cutie at the moment so I'm lucky really.

@wegoagain in the same boat! Just getting flashing but I'm on cd17 and thinking it's not going to happen, I'm extremely late or ovulated extremely early.

Onwards and upwards. Exactly, these little ones do keep us busy. I say little, mine is not so little anymore as she started nursery pre-school yesterday 😭😭

How old are all you ladies ttc if you don’t mind me asking?

Just because I worked out of another chart I found chance of pregnancy each cycle up until 12 months.

I based it on stats for me though at age 31 which is like 20% chance of pregnancy if your a fertile couple I believe..
Anyway always confused me if those were rates why 100% of people isn’t pregnant by like month 4/5 haha…

but it’s because it’s relative to the 100 couples in the gene pool if that makes sense. So each time those couples are removed but it’s still only that same percent over the ones remaining so each time the percent of ppl getting pregnant out of that 100 decreases.

I’ll post it anyway if it’s helpful to anyone. But is going off a 20% chance of pregnancy.

Well logged EWCM this morning as I had a ton again! Moved my ovulation day again to today!! So annoying! But on my other app I'm still 2DPO, so who knows where I'm at 🤷‍♀️

@Indianna2006 that table is fab! I need to be realistic as it took us 17months last time

Finally finished the longest period in the world (for me anyway 😂) so I’m excited to TTC soon! Really hope my second covid jab that I had a few days ago doesn’t mess my cycle up like the first one did!
