Hello,
I couldn't see a thread for ladies trying for baby no 2, so I thought I'd start one.
I'm nearing the end of cycle 3, 12DPO today, AF due on Wednesday. Having all sorts of symptoms that I don't usually get.
My first LO turned 2 a couple of months ago.
Look forward to hearing others' stories 😊

Sorry you've been poorly too @SLT90, fingers crossed it hasn't impacted things.

I've just checked and the medication I've been given to help my symptoms is contraindicated in pregnancy so I may have to write this cycle off and use contraception until September 😞

Just a little update from me. I think I'm 8 dpo? I've felt bloated and abit ..erm gassy the last 2 days but I often get that before AF. I know I've still got quite a few days to go before I can test but I just have a strong feeling this isn't our month. When I was pregnant with DD, I had every symptom you could think of, I just didn't realise at the tim!
Feeling OK though, its early days. I'm going to try and concentrate on eating abit better this month - I'm usually pretty good at eating healthily most days but this last week, I have been terrible...pizza 2 days in a row, too much sugar, ice cream, donuts, cookies. So naughty.

Anyone else had a naughty food week?

I hope everyone gets good news soon x

Update from me! AF arrived this morning, 2 days late but at least I know! Onto cycle 5 😊 gonna continue with the relaxed approach I think. Still haven't used the app and will continue without it I think 😊

Ah sorry to hear that @MamaSJ15 I think you were so right to wait and test after you thought AF was late though, at least you've not had days and days of testing.

Let's hope cycle 5 is your lucky one. Eat lots of chocolate and put your feet up xxx

@coles85 I know, I just can't do it to myself! But my period hasn't started properly which is weird, I guess just spotting (I never get this), if it hasn't started properly by tomorrow I may test again just in case. I haven't got my usual AF symptoms at all. My lower back aches, I keep getting mild boob pain and the aches I'm getting aren't usual cramps, it's more just achy near my hips.

@MamaSJ15 hm that's quite interesting. I'd definitely test again in a day or two if things don't become a bit more "normal". I wonder if you could've ovulated much later than you thought?

@coles85 anything is possible. It would just be nice to know either way really haha. I've never had spotting before, only ever full on period. I'm not having cramps at all, just aches really.

Ooh that's intriguing @MamaSJ15! Let us know what happens... fingers crossed good news but if not then you're already into your next cycle so not long before you can try again. Sounds like the relaxed approach is working well for you 😊

Well I've finished the medication pack and apparently it exits your system within hours. I am due to ovulate tomorrow according to app but have had no EWCM and all my easy@home ov sticks have been light. Didn't do any sticks yesterday though. Wondering if being so ill has delayed ov 🤔

I'm umm-ing and ahh-ing about whether to just DTD tomorrow and onwards just in case. Part of me thinks it'll just get my hopes up when I haven't tried 'properly' this cycle and end up disappointed, part of me thinks there's a chance and what's the harm, I'll be disappointed anyway due to the missed opportunity.

@darcey87v2 I'll update you in the morning, still not much going on and if it's still the case tomorrow I'll test again.

If it was me, I'd go for it. There's no harm in it! Just have some fun and see what happens 😊

@darcey87v2 I agree with @MamaSJ15 , why not!?!? If you DON'T try then there's 100% chance of a BFN. But if you do DTD then there's hope...

@darcey87v2 okay, AF has arrived properly now! I can now class this as CD1 of cycle 5 😊

Well we did and then almost immediately afterwards I felt ov pains and I had EWCM 🤷‍♀️ I don't know how long sperm take to get to target so if it basically being the same time means I'm out but gave it a go! Used conceive plus and lay with my bum in the air for 30 minutes just in case.

Also quite relieved I have had some ov symptoms. I do sometimes wonder if what I think ov pain is something else entirely but it's always alternating sides each month, always the right time in my cycle and it's quite a distinctive feeling so I think I'm right.

Sorry AF is here properly @MamaSJ15 but at least that means you're onto the next cycle and could be pg in just a couple of weeks!

I'm doing well thanks, only minor symptoms so far. Not had any appointments yet so still doesn't feel real in all honesty! Contemplating getting an early scan just to satisfy my own curiosity. But then I think, what's the point, just wait! Still got nearly another 5 weeks until my scan though

@darcey87v2 I always get ovulation pains every month so don’t have to track mine! Feels like a stitch for me

@MamaSJ15 ahh sorry about AF. Sigh. That first day of disappointment is worst. An then after a few days your over it. Such a rollercoaster this ttc business.

Well clearly whatever I felt yesterday was not ovulation as I had peak static smiley on my CB this morning and have just had a serious dye stealer on my easy@home and still having EWCM so ov clearly hasn't happened yet!

I appreciate no one really wants to see my pee stick but I've never had as strong positive as this on an ov test and am so glad we haven't missed things this month.

DH is wfh today so will DTD a bit later and hope there are some swimmers there from yesterday 🤞🤞🤞

Hi all, sorry to jump back on, but I thought I would take a test before I went back on the pill just to rule it out (and I've been on AF since Sunday) to find this...
I would never have known... Omg!!

@MamaSJ15 whaaaaaaat!?!? Congratulations!!! What a shock!!! So that weird period wasn't a period after all!!!
How are you feeling? I hope you're doing ok after deciding to put TTC on hold for a bit. What a head f*ck! Very excited for you x

@coles85 I know!! I'm still bleeding now, just assumed it was a period but it seemed a little different. I haven't even told DH yet, he'd already gone to work and works with machinery, don't want to text him and he be distracted 😂 my head is a bit all over the place if I'm honest!!

@MamaSJ15 you must be so shocked! I don't blame you for feeling all over the place. You kind of assume you're out once AF comes.

One of my good friends had a lot of bleeding early in her pregnancy. It turned out to be a haematoma so nothing at all sinister, but she was also a bit thinking she'd had her period too.

You must be very excited to tell your DP. Good plan not to distract him at work if he's using machinery haha!

Also, give your booking service a call - you might remember there was a HUGE wait when I called mine. Not sure where you're based, but if it's anything like here, the sooner you get booked in the better.
