TTC - Ovulation

Hi!

I have been TTC this month. I got a flashing smiley face on the clearblue OPKS this morning so all is looking good! I would love to talk to anyone else who is also TTC this month... I am currently driving my husband mad as it's all I can talk about. 😊

@MrsRosaline when do you usually get your peak? Xxx

It varies. Last few months it was CD17, CD14, CD15 and CD16. So I reckon another few days of high before peak 🙄

@MrsRosaline I forgot to test using the monitor this morning! Will it work with my next wee!? This is the problem when my daughter wakes so early! Xxx

Oh balls! Just tested and got a peak two days earlier than usual! DP home this eve after a big weekend away so I'm 99% he'll be in no fit state to DTD tonight and tomo probs too late so already thinking I'm out for this cycle! Let's hope some of his swimmers are still alive from Friday night!!!! Xxx

Oh no! I would definitely try for tonight, but it's not the end of the world if he's not up to it. I usually ovulate the day after a peak so if you can get in one tomorrow or Tuesday that'll be OK!

Managed to DTD! Was touch and go though! 😂 xxx

Haha we're totally synched now @MrsRosaline ! I like ovulating earlier!!! Means we can 'relax' earlier in the month!!!!! I was reading up on whether it's possible to ovulate twice in a month!!!!!!!! I read inconsistent things though! Xxx

I feel like this month is the least chance we will have had in terms of TTC so I'm feeling chilled-like the pressure is off!

I did wonder though, if I ovulated earlier should I expect my period to arrive earlier than usual!? Xxx

Hey @MrsRosaline! I'm well thanks! Hope you are too! I'm currently 6dpo and the wait is actually killing me!!! I actually promised myself I wouldn't be obsessive this month but I really am🤣 so far, only thing I can report is possible mild twinges/cramps but barely noticeable and a really sore throat which has developed today. I'm holding on to this sore throat symptom as obvs I googled it and it's super common to get this! Apparently your immune system lowers around this time so it doesn't reject the pregnancy! I've probs just got covid again 🤣🙄 I'm keeping everything crossed for all of us this month!! @newtolineofduty @LittleDoveLove

Hi @MrsRosaline , thanks for checking in. I'm doing well- seeing good progress on my CB tests (saw 3+ weeks when I tested on Saturday) and have now booked an early scan for next week when I'll be 7 weeks - will let you know how I get on.

How are you feeling this cycle?

@newtolineofduty yes I should think that your cycle would be shorter, only slightly though!? I've also been pretty chill. Tested later than usual with OPKs and DTD a bit less. I think I've calmed down a bit now I realise it might not be a short journey!

@hoola23 a sore throat is a good sign definitely!!

That's great news @wannabeamummysobad sounds like everything is progressing perfectly. I'm feeling good. Been back at work this week so pretty busy with that and just taking it as it comes!

@hoola23 that sounds positive! I've made a pact with myself not to do any googling-let's see how long that lasts! 😂 x I'm 3dpo x when will you test? X

@MrsRosaline @newtolineofduty where are you both in your cycles? I'm a serial googler!!! It's so bad! And essentially, the answer will always be WAIT!!!! 🤣 I bought some cheap IC today off Amazon and they come tomo so I can't lie, I'll probs do one tomo🤣 but realistically, I think I will try my best to wait to at least 10dpo.... if I can. This is our last month trying before we enter the fertility testing world so I guess I'm really holding on to all the hope this month!

@hoola23 I'm day 14 of my cycle which is when I usually ovulate but ovulated CD 11 this time (very unusual for me!) so wondering if I'll start my period earlier!? I'm usually 28 days xxx

@newtolineofduty oh so you're into the TWW already! Yeah I used to ovulate 11 or 12 and my cycles then were around 22-24 days long. I always get AF exactly 14 days after ovulation though x

@hoola23 I'm a little anxious about ovulating earlier than usual-hope the egg was mature enough etc! Glad ovulation out of the way though as I hate the TTC bit and the stress/pressure!!! Not long until you can test now! ❤️

I'm not really sure @hoola23. I'm CD15, and I think maybe 1DPO but not sure. Fingers crossed for you this month! Hope you get your BFP!

@newtolineofduty have a look at your past cycles and work out how long roughly you usually have between ovulation and period. If it's like 13 days on average, then you'd do CD11+13 days = period due on CD24.

@newtolineofduty I wouldn't worry about the ovulating earlier bit, just means everything moves forward a few days. I'm with you on feeling the stress during those fertile days, it just takes all the fun out of it completely! I actually told my DH that when we have sex during those times all I can focus on is thinking about conceiving and that it's no longer really "sex" but the only purpose is to conceive, well that's how it feels to me!! He was actually a bit upset I think, bless him!

@hoola23 yes I'm like that too! My DP is really feeling the pressure and it's taking abit of a toll on our sex life! Luckily we've still been able to DTD at the right times etc but there's been afew times where it almost didn't happen-thats my main stress at the minute!!! I just want to conceive so we don't have to try!!!!!! I absolutely hate it!!!! Xxx
