TTC - Ovulation

Hi!

I have been TTC this month. I got a flashing smiley face on the clearblue OPKS this morning so all is looking good! I would love to talk to anyone else who is also TTC this month... I am currently driving my husband mad as it's all I can talk about. 😊

@jkm2793 I just want to be in the two week wait and not have to think about having sex/being anxious that he won't climax! What CDs did you end up DTD/did you manage to do it on your high/peak fertility days? X

Well my test broke so I don't even know if it would have been a peak I just had cramps all day long loads of thin slippery CM and temp so I am just assuming I did ovulate but can't be sure? If I did ovulate Monday I would have DTD only twice in my fertile window so I'm not holding out any hope this month but I suppose still a possibility. I am now on cycle day 10 and have 10 days till AF due. How about you have you? Xx

@jkm2793 that is MILLIONS of sperm and it only takes one ❤️ x

So I'm CD 15 and due 23rd-25th (depending on whether I have a 28-30 day cycle!) x I'm going to hold out testing until 27th if at all possible! When will you test? Xx

Well I'd like to say wait until the day after my period is due but I know I won't lol so impatient I don't know why I do it but earliest would be 17th/18th I'm due AF19th. I am going to really try and not even but as test and wait as long as I can.

I hate the wait, 1 cycle is soooo long when TTC

Sooo I got my static peak reading yesterday morning with FMU. I just did another clearblue test (as I have two monitors) and it's low. So I'm wondering if I have already ovulated. OR if it's just because it's not FMU. What do you think!? Why did I do it and confuse myself 😂😭

@MrsRosaline I bet it's due to not first morning urine or could it be because you've not tested from the beginning of the cycle? I remember reading you can't use two monitors per cycle x

But it's a new monitor that's not been used before so it would be like testing for the first time!! I'll do it again in the morning and see...

@MrsRosaline even if you've already ovulated though if you've DTD the last couple of days then you're sorted! You can relax now! Im jealous! Got another night of it here! 😂 x hopefully! X

If you guys don't get pregnant this month will you use the clear blue tests again next month? I'm really unsure whether too! X

@jkm2793 I need to get pregnant ASAP for various reasons so that's why I'm using ovulation tests but if there wasn't as much of a sense of 'urgency' then I totally wouldn't use them!!! It creates far too much pressure I think! Xx

Definitely it's good how they give you the best time but I've found it so much more pressured and forced this month think I may leave it next month and kind of just go of the similar timing. Let's hope we don't have to try next month lol x

@jkm2793 When I TTC for DD I didn't use them for 5 months. Then I got fed up with it all and bought Boots own brand OPKS. I got pinpoint exactly when ovulation was and lo and behold, I was pregnant that month!

If I do I might buy the cheap ones I just find them hard to read. Does the test line have to be darker then the control line for it to be a peak x

I'm going to keep using them, I find them helpful although apparently the best thing to do is just DTD every other day but I think this does help things 😊

I really like the Boots own brand ones. The line just needs to be as dark as the control line. I tried to attach a picture but Mumsnet isn't letting me for some reason...

Last month we weren't TTC but I used the internet cheapies to just try and get a feel for my cycle and according to those I didn't ovulate. I used them last time when TTC and they were great but recently they've had terrible reviews so I wouldn't use those again xx

I'm rubbish checking the lines and how dark they are I find it hard to read, I need a smiley so it's obvious!😂

Hi ladies, does anyone know if it's normal for ovulation to vary by a few days each month? Last month I ovulated around CD15-16 and this month it looks like its CD12 according to OPK - not sure if this indicates a problem!

@feliznavidad2 yes mine changes and one month I had 2 surges where the egg hadn't released on the first one and tried again and released it a few days later

Thanks @LittleDoveLove - I have just ordered some more OPK from Amazon (thank goodness for Prime!) as so can keep err monitoring the situation as although my easymom app reckons that was my peak on CD12, there was lower LH levels than last month.

I've been using my kit and I've got more flashing smileys today, I think I didn't ovulate so am continuing so I think I may have not released an egg and am going to get another peak
