TTC - Ovulation

Hi!

I have been TTC this month. I got a flashing smiley face on the clearblue OPKS this morning so all is looking good! I would love to talk to anyone else who is also TTC this month... I am currently driving my husband mad as it's all I can talk about. 😊

@Itsjustme20 if you do OPKS and find a peak I guess you'll know for certain you're not pregnant!

Exactly! By testing OPK as well hopefully I'll have a peak next week (when my app predicts based on if I'd had AF) and we'll catch then.

We're DTD every other day from now too 🥰

@Itsjustme20 I would definitely phone them if I were you.
I called last month and asked for a blood pregnancy test , they said they don't usually do it but I have explained that I had 3 positives and loads more negatives from different brands and I also had to lie a bit and say that I needed to know in order to start the pill (not true lol ) , so they booked me with a nurse right away .

@Liliarosa That's exactly what I said (minus the pill bit!) and they still said no 🙄😩 I'm going to keep OPK and pregnancy testing as I'd be due in 2 and a bit weeks anyway. I'll ring them again if I miss a second period I think and be a pain and demand one 😂

@Itsjustme20 I had the same problem last cycle! I'm going to attach my tests - these are from last cycle! I kept getting faint positives.

Eventually I had a very light period, and I thought wtf is going on, so I kept testing and they were all subsequently negative. I tracked with OPKS and saw a surge, so just assumed I was never pregnant and carried on! This cycle, I will wait with @newtolineofduty and @wannabeamummysobad and just do one test if it's negative!

@MrsRosaline That's what I'm going with. It's such a confusing time though isn't it!

That's what I think now. I'll keep testing every other day with IC and then I'll OPK test too to hopefully get a peak.

It's so strange though that you got 3 positive ones before , , they had colour in them and looked nothing like evaporation lines .
I heard that OPK's detect HCG as well so they might turn positive if you're pregnant.

I have got the darkest line on OPK today (not positive yet but close enough ) , it's been more then 12 years since the last time I saw one that dark , I hope it will turn positive by this evening or tomorrow at the latest.

Good look all of you in the 2 WW , I think j'm the only one waiting to Ovulate lol

@Liliarosa It's really odd. That's why I'm going to keep testing with both OPK and pregnancy tests 😂 I didn't think they looked like evap lines either.

I've cancelled my midwife appointment and spoke to the midwife. She's told me it could possibly a chemical or ectopic so I've got to go to the early pregnancy unit if I get heavy bleeding or pain 😩 Been such a whirlwind this week!

@Itsjustme20 sounds like you could be having a chemical pregnancy lovely, ive had one before and for two days was a strong positive then then after all negatives, hoping for the best but does sound similar. x

I think it might be 😔 I've got no bleeding still and it's 3 days since last positive. 😔

So here's the latest spanner in the works ladies!!

I found 1 last test before my pack comes tomorrow to test every other day. I figured may as well try it. Finished cleaning, went back to put it in the bin and see this? Is that a positive or 🤷🏽‍♀️ Apparently this brand doesn't give evap lines either! 😩😩😩

@Itsjustme20 defo something there! You really are having a bit of a nightmare with all these tests!! I would defo push your GP for a blood test. I worry they will say wait another week and test again though!

I'm not sure if it's an evap line though.

I tried with the midwife today and she said no to bloods as well so I feel that's the standard answer now 😂

@Itsjustme20 there's deffo something there! But it's so faint I'd expect it to be stronger if your period is late? How confusing though 😢

@newtolineofduty Period is late but I do think I ovulated later so potentially period is due end of next week I think if I go on the 14 days after ovulation generic rule.

I'm now 8DPO going on EWCM 😂 I'm so confused too.

@newtolineofduty He's so chill it's annoying 😂 DH is just like 'what will be will be' 'we can try again next month if needs be'.

@newtolineofduty Isn't it just! 😂 It's made him definitely realise that if I'm not pregnant this cycle, he 100% wants it. Before it was an 'idea' more so but this has helped that so that's one win. Hopefully there'll be another win but who knows!

Somethings going to happen soon I think. I'm sat cutting out on the bed this evening (teacher life 😂) and my boobs feel massive!! They're so uncomfortable and noticeably heavy/big.

So either period or pregnancy hormones kicking in I think!

@Itsjustme20 my boobs also feel massive! Swollen and sore too. They've definitely grown but I've been overeating this cycle so it could just be fat 😂

That's a good sign @MrsRosaline! 🤞I'm behind you all this month so I've got ages to wait, a bit apprehensive after last month but we are going on holiday before next cycle so either way something nice to look forward to which helps!

Yeh that makes sense @LittleDoveLove! A holiday will be lovely. Wish I was going on one! 😂

How are you all doing @wannabeamummysobad @newtolineofduty ? Felt a bit twitchy this morning, like a positive might show if I tested now...
