@AnxiousWannabe the hycosy? Yeah they did, two kinds, both had to be taken right afterwards.

@02Carol @Yas34 so sorry that you are both having these difficulties with prolactin and hope that you have the right treatment and outcomes soon. I wondered if you have symptoms? I have normal regular periods but I can still produce milky discharge nearly a year after stopping breastfeeding. Since my periods are normal, I'm assuming it's not interfering with things but don't really know how it all works?? Having prolactin checked in July anyway but would be good to know whether to mention to my consultant.

My periods were always regular and I also lactated. There were no other signs, so I’m glad it was caught. I have a small benign tumor on my pituitary gland which is connected to this. I have an MRI scan once every two years and take medication. My consultant assured me that the medication won’t harm the baby (when I fall pregnant) and to stop as soon as I have a BFP. My ovulation is going getting better so fingers crossed! We’re trying for baby no.1

@Yas34 thanks so much that's really helpful. I wonder if I might have slightly elevated levels just because of still producing milk but I had a mri when my daughter was 7 months old as I had some visual changes and nothing was found then but do they need to do something specific with the mri? Thank you again and hope you get your BFP v soon!

@ElsieG3m Thank you! In my case, high prolactin levels definitely interfered my ovulation and produced discharge. Luckily it’s under control now with meds.

@ElsieG3m That's good you are getting checked, but if you were recently breastfeeding hopefully that will be the reason if you have high levels as it will take a while for your hormones to adjust.

I didn't realise I had symptoms as my periods are regular, but that doesn't mean ovulating so I'm yet to cross that hurdle.
Once they mentioned it and I looked into it, I realised I'm quite symptomatic.

I should have met and had MRI, but I was incorrectly referred to ENT, which I questioned but was told they know better🤨 and when I sat with consultant he said, why are you here that's nothing to do with this department 🤦🏻‍♀️, honestly can't make it up.
But he did my urgent MRI referral and discharged me from his clinic and sent me to endocrinology.
So just waiting on dates.

@Yas34 @02Carol thanks so much for the advice! It's been a year since I breastfed so I'm not sure I should still be producing milk now. I didn't really think about it until you mentioned it Carol so I'm really pleased you did as I can just get it checked now. I expect it's probably a red herring in my case and I'm just being impatient but would be good to know sooner rather than later! Thanks girls.

Oh and ps that's v annoying Carol. My experience of being on the receiving end of complex healthcare investigations is that the join up can be very poor and you do need to advocate for yourself xx

Sort of optimistic today, have had sore boobs (without any b6) and ovulation pains. I wonder if I’m actually ovulating this month 🤔

Can’t actually check my LH because CB advanced fertility monitor is dumb and won’t let me check sticks because I didn’t log my last cycle.

I’m 7DPO today - I thought I’d be quite chilled this TWW but it’s dragging and I’m done with it already. Trying my best to keep busy (and stop eating so much - blaming my steroids for making me ravenous but I think I’m actually just greedy).
How’s everyone getting on? Is anyone else TWW?

I'm at the end of my tww. Dpo 14 and bfn so waiting peacefully for af. Lol.

@GuessHowMuch no, I found temping just stressed me out in the past. So now I’m trying to go with the flow each month and using clear blue o tests when I can. Or just dtd like this month.

@AnxiousWannabe I can’t get lines on cheapies, but I just tried one and it confirmed I can’t get lines on cheapies lol. It’s the faintest line, I don’t think they work for me or I don’t work lol

It’s day 17 for me, which is usually around ovulation, give or take a day.

@thislittlebird I don’t get the best lines on cheapies either which is why I temp, but I can totally understand it’s not for everyone- it’s a bit of a pain doing it every single morning! 🙄

@AnxiousWannabe Sorry to hear you got a bfn 😔 Waiting peacefully sounds like you are resigned to the inevitable. Sigh!!

@GuessHowMuch The TWW is the worst, it’s just so long isn’t it?! I’m not there yet- on CD7 so I’m slowly approaching fw.
Got my first acupuncture tonight and looking forward to that. Also changed prenatal. CONSTANTLY trying the ‘next thing’, hoping something I do is the magic ticket!

@Misty84 glad it’s not just me! I find temping anxiety inducing. Last time I did it I was awake stupid o’clock thinking about temping. Then my temp didn’t even rise much anyway so I gave up, no point stressing myself out. I know my stupid ovulation isn’t right either way.

Hope you enjoy the acupuncture this time! Which prenatal have you switched to? I need a new one.

@thislittlebird I have been taking Pregnacare all this time but finally switched to Naturelo. Delayed so much as I’m already spending a fortune on supplements especially Ubiquinol. Throwing everything at it in these final few months before IVF because as I haven’t got many eggs left I at least need to try and make them as good quality as possible!🥵

@Misty84 I’ve not heard of that one. I never tried Pregnacare because wellwoman brand made me feel sick before when I took it. Tempted to try Conceive Plus ovulation support but I know it’s aimed at PCOS people and I’m not quite PCOS, not sure what impact myoinositol will have on my cycle . With ivf coming up hopefully I don’t want unpredictability.

@thislittlebird I chose mine via ISWTE uk recommendations. But it’s 3 times the price of what I was previously on 🙄 So ridiculous!

Sorry to hear about any bfns and the dreaded tww wait! What a pile of crap it is!! It's impossible to ignore it and yet that's what you need to do!

@Misty84 oh, on this topic I just finished ISWTE. It finished very abruptly when my kindle said it had 50% left to read but was also end of book. Wasn’t sure whether to keep reading or not.

We’ve managed to dtd every day for 4 days now, just another three to go to cover the peak days . I cannot be arsed with any of this, just let it end!

Geez @thislittlebird - there was I feeling all proud that we dtd CD7/9/10/11/13 (OPK Peak CD11 so think ov on CD12)....am I not trying hard enough?!? lolol

I’m proud if we manage it twice in month @Geriatric1234 @Misty84. We couldn’t do anything until after the hycosy which knocked me for six so only started on day 13.
