welcome everyone, c'mon over i've got lots of cakes!!!!xxxx

Excitable · 06/12/2007 14:21

Foghorn this gives hope for us all!! No longer is a long cycle a boring wait for AF but an exciting am i/aren't i sort of time!!

sweetkitty · 06/12/2007 14:25

hi ladies just popping my head around the door to see how you are all doing and if theres been any BFPs recently

sarahnh - congratulations

foghorn - wow well done you, you will have 3 in 4 years as well then?

Excitable · 06/12/2007 14:25

We'll need a new name for our thread. Can we call this "time needs to go faster"? Somebody else said this a while ago and I thought it would be good as we're all feeling a bit impatient. Or do you think that our impatience shouldn't be encouraged? (Some of us are excitable enough as it is - well, I am at any rate!) Perhaps "TTC Baby Waiting Room: Our Baby Will Come When It's Ready"

digitalgirl · 06/12/2007 14:40

So...BFN on CD34 and BFP on CD42 for Foghorn...that's 6 days to wait.

Hopefully, I won't be for long, I have a gynae appointment on the 18th Dec. Maybe they can tell me why I have to wait so long every month.

excitable that's a great title

Excitable · 06/12/2007 14:51

DG if I was you, I wouldn't even be interested in an explanation, I would be marching into consulting rooms, throwing myself into the stirrups and shouting "Fix Me!" You are being very brave in the face of unreasonable biology and we love you.

fruitloop79 · 06/12/2007 14:52

digitalgirl - I can totally sympathise. I'm new on this thread. I post on the 'about to start ttc no.2....' thread. I've now realised I could be waiting a while for dc2.

The reason I can sympathise is my 1st cycle of TTC was 54 days. I'm now in my 2nd cycle and on CD71 now . Maybe we should start an AF AWOL thread . see how many others are having to wait.
How on earth are we supposed to chart our cycles!
I tried to book GP appointment today but their systems are down - typical, only chance I could get down to surgery as well. It's practically impossible to get through on phone!

Can I be put on the list please?

fruitloop79 · 06/12/2007 14:54

should I just copy and paste it?

Excitable · 06/12/2007 15:01

yeah, fruitloop just cut and paste it.

Day 71? Well, if that were me, I'd grasp the doctor's head very firmly and slam it repeatedly into the wall until he promised to fix me. You poor thing!

If I have another long cycle, I'll join you in that thread, because I didn't like it AT ALL.

Why might you be waiting a while for DC2?

sarahnh · 06/12/2007 15:04

congrats foghorn

Excitable, i looked on yell to find a reflexologist near where i live, i called the up and basically told them that I was trying to concieve and did the reflexologist have experience in dealing with this...

She did, i had two sessions two weeks apart, i think i mentioned i had very crunchy tubes, so she un crunched them, went back last wednesday she did more work on the area but said that they were much better and bam, BFP!!!

So although i guess it won't work for everybody, i an't going to knock, sp excitable i am giving you big courage and hope to make an appointment xxxx

OP posts:
digitalgirl · 06/12/2007 15:08

There you go fruitloop

my last cycle was 50 days

if it's not too insensitive of me to say, I hope you find some consolation in knowing you have been PG before and that your body knows how to do it. are you currently BF'ing?

oh because my AF's are so erratic. DS1 conceived by being VERY lazy with the pill for 3 years - in fact I rarely took it
We both really want another LO this time

fruitloop79 · 06/12/2007 15:11

oops, DG looks like we posted at same time!

No not BFing. DS now 2 and a half

TwilightSurfer · 06/12/2007 15:43

Very faint (shadowy) BFP here. Had RL friend pop by to review test stick. She thought it was more than shadowy. I don't want to get excited until I can see the line darken over the next few days. THEN I'LL BE EXCITED.

sarahnh · 06/12/2007 15:45

twlight do a cleablue!!!! very very excited for you

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 06/12/2007 15:54

I almost bought the clearblue digital but really wanted to see the line intensity. Figured that would help be gauge how far along I am/may be. I just phone my doc's nurse to see if I can come in for a progestrone test to get a base line number.

twinklingfairy · 06/12/2007 16:40

Oh my goodness that three today!!
Poppysocks on the 2ww thread has go her bFP today too!!
The foghorn and now Twilightsurfer!!
I know I am restating what you all already know but I am excited!!!!
I have a RL friend who may be pregnant too. She says she had some brownish sppotting on Monday and nothing since.
I am happy for her though, which is strange, especially as she was having protected sex too and doesn't really want to be pregnant yet.
I think it was cos I was able to be honest with her and she knew what my reaction would be. Which was jealous but also happy. She says we should swap bits.
Would be sooo nice if I could get my BFP this month (if hers turns into one as well) then we could be pregnant together. Her DS is 18mo while my DD is 15mo, so both our children would be really close in age

Excitable · 06/12/2007 16:43

Don't understand this base line number, Twighlight - too excited to concentrate on science because I'm sure you're pregnant!

twinklingfairy · 06/12/2007 16:44

Oh forgot to say hi to fruitloop
Lovely to see you over here, I should have mentioned about this thread and your new long cycle buddy DG
I must have missed your long month excitable, when my computer was down. That was a long month, for me too.
I missed you all so much

MsSparklingXmasTree · 06/12/2007 16:47

I'm not gonna test again so i didn't buy a boots one. thanks for your responses

Very suportive.

TwilightSurfer · 06/12/2007 16:59

Hi Excitable, the baseline number I'm looking for is just the number result, as of today or in the morning, from a progesterone test. If all is going as it should the pregnancy will cause the number to increase daily until the placenta takes over at which point the number levels out. I'll just go back a few days to a week later (and maybe a few more times) to make sure the number is climbing. If it levels out or starts to fall then I'll know I'm beginning to miscarry again.

Excitable · 06/12/2007 17:14

You mean there are even more hormones if I get pregnant??? Well, all I can say is that the people around me better buy some tin hats to protect themselves if I'm going to get even more hormonal than this!

I'm just like Eeyore today!

ClairePO · 06/12/2007 17:20

MsSparklingXmasTree sorry if your post got lost it sometimes happens, don't take it personally as it was not meant in that way by anyone, its just excitement over someone getting the BFP they have been waiting for and posting as such just after you. If you don't know when/(if?) you ovulated all I can suggest that you use a condom for a little while and when you are 14 days or so after last unprotected sex and still no af test then? Unless someone has a better idea?

Congrats Twilight and Foghorn - two BFP's in one day

TwilightSurfer · 06/12/2007 17:44

Excitable you are too funny. The progesterone should mellow you out...make you softer around the edges. It will also probably make you puke like you've never puked before. Once the placenta hormones take over be prepared for happy days all the time. It's only during the third trimester when you're huge and totally uncomfortable that the hormones begin to dip in a way that makes you really GRIPEY again. Now this is only a reflection of my previous experience and has no solid scientific founding.

MsSparklingXmasTree · 06/12/2007 19:16

Sorry for my little outburst, i had just had an argument with my sis and i shouldn't have taken it out on you guys.

Well AF just arrived! I am happy because after 43 days and bfn all the time i finally know where i am and what's going on.

meglet · 06/12/2007 19:38

twlight hope you get the biggest and fattest postive when you test again. Good luck girl!
